We visited the parlour for the first time on Sunday morning for breakfast with my elderly mother and father (mother is in a wheelchair) Lots of disabled parking spaces outside the front entrance, as we were walking through the garden centre to get to the restaurant we passed several members of staff who all smiled and said good morning. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by two members of staff who both said good morning and showed us to a table of our choice and explained how to order and gave us menus, twice I was asked if I needed any assistance with my mother helping her out of the wheelchair and into a chair (which was appreciated) The restaurant is very nice, tables were clean and staff were attentive throughout the whole breakfast. Breakfast was very nice and nicely presented, food was hot and the coffee was lovely. Also visited the men’s toilets which were clean and presentable. So all in all a nice experience all round and would recommend breakfast at the parlour👍🙂

Our first visit for afternoon tea. The service, food, and setting were delightful. The scones and cakes exquisite. Our baker/server communicated well with us but wouldn’t part with the scone recipe! Never tasted better scones. Thoroughly recommend the experience and value for money.

Visited today initially to buy tropical fish but on arrival decided to stop for coffee first. My adult daughter suffers badly from anxiety and noise is a trigger so we found a table at the far end where it was quiet. We collected our drinks but on returning to our selected table were told by a staff member that that area was closed. We explained that my daughter suffers from anxiety and the staff member made a guarded comment (which we heard) to her colleague that "you shouldn't come to a restaurant if you don't like the noise!" When challenged about her remark she told my daughter that this was not what she said but came back later and apologised for upsetting my daughter who was now in tears. Customers should not have to be confronted by this behaviour - do your staff expect everyone to wear a placard round their neck to publicise their disability? Won't be returning to this place - EVER!

Visited with friends for a cream tea today. The food was nice & fresh & there was a good selection of cakes. However we felt the staff serving us were rather unhelpful & one in particular quite surly. I enquired if it was possible to swop the plain scone for a fruit one, to be told NO as they didn't have many left., I only wanted one!!!. Not what you would expect for £21.95. Sadly I wouldn't return to this cafe.

Food was lovely, but the service was appalling. Rude staff, didn’t ask about allergies, most didn’t speak to us, just put menus in front of us. Shame as we have always liked it here

The garden centre is lovely, however the cafe really lets it down. Went to the cafe for a quick lunch with family and was first told that I had to sit somewhere else - in which the majority of the tables were very dirty and the waitress in that section rather rude !! £9 for a ciabatta that was burnt and tiny. Will not being go back.

Lovely g/centre at reasonable prices on plants & goods, went to updated cafe, confused which area to order from if wanted cooked food than drinks/cakes, had to go & ask waitress to order after waiting (after being given menus) latte v hot which i asked for so that good, j/potato ok but came with plenty of filling/salad & pal enjoyed soup. Had tried to order cooked b'fast about 11.50/11.55 but was told stopped at 11.30am why can't they do all day like cafes? menu limited, cakes looked lovely but we were full up, will return but hope improvement, surprised chairs dirty/stained when refurbishment not too long ago, service need quickening, not busy when we there but filled up quickly for lunchtime

Been here many times for breakfast. Always been good ,but today was told there were no sausages on of the most basic items on a breakfast Had to send the beans back to have them microwaved again , mushroom and tomato were just warm .Told the lady that it was not up to there standards just shrugged her shoulders and walked off complete waste of £20 when I come back maybe in the summer when you can sit outside as they do a very nice sandwich but they’re gonna lose customers if this is the attitude . They say they had staff shortages we’ll employ some more people

So disappointed with attitude of Graham. Not only was he proud to announce that his panini oven had blown up the day before but couldn’t a) recommend anything that wasn’t mayonnaise based or b) provide me with a salmon sandwich devoid of cream cheese because ‘everything is brought in’. Huge lesson to be learned here! To add insult to injury the waitresses only supplied ordered food and NOBODY cleared tables. Severally understaffed. Thanks but no thanks, will not bother again.

I ordered a Caesar Salad and had to ask for extra lettuce as there was hardly any with it and what was there was slightly browning. I added that and then discovered the croutons were completely soft & soggy and had to pick them out. When I mentioned this to a member of staff she called over the manager who looked at the croutons and took them away. She never came back, never apologized and nothing was taken off the bill. I decided to pay for it and just leave. What a short-sighted way to run a restaurant. I wasn't looking to complain, but the complete lack of interest or concern, just means I felt the need to write this, will never go back and will tell other people about it. I don't get it. People make mistakes and restaurants get things wrong, but it's your management style and the customer experience you provide that is a choice.

We wanted to go to the PYO next door but we were there an hour early so decided to check out the garden centre. Very pleasantly surprised by the Kipling Patisserie & Prose cafe there. We had a coffee and chai latte and shared a very lovely gluten free scone (with clotted cream and jam). It was great that for once gluten free didn't mean small, very happy with the size! There was also a lovely range of cakes there too which I would love to try another time. I appreciated the placement of the gluten free cakes in terms of risks of cross contamination. The fridge cakes were kept at the top of the fridge unit (so no crumbs to fall down). "Normal" cakes had the tongs outside but all of the gluten free cakes had their tongs inside their individual containers.

Beautiful venue, food looks amazing in cabinets, cakes were good. Service??? I would say if I were the manager I'd be embarrassed. However saying that maybe there isn't a manager, which is why it was as it was. Staff had to be called over to serve our table twice! I noticed this happen at other tables too! Restaurant was not busy at the time. Had to go up to get one of the three drinks ordered as it never arrived. Waited so long for my salad, the others had nearly finished their cakes, then was told the salad wasn't available!!! Cancelled as too poor service! Place has such potential, with beautiful venue, staff sadly let it down. Also I videoed the cake area, so could show my mum what was available, as she uses a walking frame, so left her seated. Rather than watching me with disdain ( member of staff behind the counter) try smiling, it makes people feel more welcome!

Just so there's no confusion with previous reviews, this one is for the new restaurant at Crockford Bridge Farm, and not the Kipling Patisserie either. Menu choices were really good, and the food was of a very good standard. The only thing that spoiled things for us, was the staff having a heated row (including the F word) right next to our table. Such a shame, as everything else was so good. It was just the waiter with the uncontrollable temper that let the side down :(

We chose to eat breakfast here as we had not visited the Garden Centre since the change of ownership in 2018 from Wyevale to Blue Diamond. The restaurant itself is not significantly different than previously, although the layout of the condiments etc has changed to the Blue Diamond standard. We were served a hot and tasty breakfast, and the food itself could not be faulted. The mushrooms were particularly nicely-done. However, dining here is akin to taking your meal in a primary school dining-room. The Garden Centre have pitched their offering to attract small children as there is a 'soft play' area (which is near the restaurant). The soft play area itself is almost enclosed and does not generate much external sound per se, but its presence attracts a different sort of clientele than most garden centres. During our visit there were several noisy children around - not badly-behaved, just loud - which is not an environment that aids my enjoyment of food or my digestion. Even when my own children were young, they were not encouraged to be noisy when eating! Sadly I do not think we will be adding this venue to our list of desirable local places to enjoy a 'breakfast out'.

An incredibly wide selection of plants of all shapes and sizes on display. Easily the best selection in this area! Too many garden centres have neglected their core business in favour of bric-a-brac and other non-garden products. This new owner has reversed the trend. Attended the restaurant this morning for breakfast with our small puppy just after the puppy meet at the garden centres pet shop. Have been to the restaurant a number of times before and like it but they have one table inside for occupation by dog owners. This unfortunately was occupied by non dog owners leaving us the garden area to sit in. This is okay on a sunny day, although for a garden centre no one does any gardening here. The umbrellas cover the tables and there is no other covered area leaving us in the lap of the gods regarding the weather with some black clouds gathering overhead. The doors back in don't seem to open from the outside which means walking a long way round. My bacon and eggs on toast were very nice and coffee went down well but I won't rush back and ask why a centre with a pet store and puppy meets dosen't want dog owners to use their restaurant. A simple covered area outside or a small dog friendly area inside would encourage more use but i'm sure I don't need to tell a GARDEN CENTRE this, do I?

Really poor experience. Ended up coming here from The Cliff and it’s always been a really great experience. A lady at the door told us that there was another bar open which I didn’t hear so I confirmed with the lady who then became verbally abusive when I said “thank you”. She then had her cronies follow me and my party to where they recommended which was Annie’s Attic. I actually really like this bar but I’m not coming back because of the issues presented. I and we have been coming here for years, not any more. Contact us to change our mind? Or not, thanks. Rude? Yes she was. Confrontational? Yes she was. Horrid in terms of customer service? Yes she was. Bye.

We were booked for Josie's 14th birthday in April 2023. What a LOVELY venue. Easy to find in the centre of Chertsey, access was really easy from the rear of the premises, helped by the lift (so really helpful for disabled users) The interior was clean with optimum facilities and hospitality equipment and all had a great time. We would so recommend this location to anyone looking to have their party and function in the Runnymede Area. 11 out of 10 for a wonderful experience
