Bad custom service! The woman behind the bar was rude with a nasty attitude. The locals were drunk and loud by 8.45am and made it uncomfortable. Overall the woman behind the bar really let this place down. I won’t be coming back . Only this one person has this manner , the other spoons no issues. She was even talking to the locals about us and making sure we could hear her . Just plain and simple out of order!!

Met up with friends from out of town. We had told them that we are a lovely little friendly town. Walked into the pub and the staff were very abrupt and aggressive in their manor towards us. Told us to move away from our table as too many of us stood around it. Not our fault the place didn't have enough seating! Started to leave and they threatened to take our photos for future reference!! Not the friendly people we told our friends about. Disappointed is an understatement. 😠😠

Just been to the Crown hotel ,where the real ales was limited but excellent We moved onto the Wallace Hartley Wetherspoons Colne, Hoping we would get a good choice of selection of real ales, to be met with a choice of 2 real ale choices, Ruddles or Abbot on hand pump!! This is unacceptable!! Needless to say we moved onto another local watering hole This is totally unacceptable!!!!!

Sadly after having made a reservation for4 people reserving a table in the window area . On arrival we were told there was no tables available and they had failed to inform us as they had got a group booking after we had made the reservation. No apology just it was better for their business to have the bigger group . Not a place to book if you can't expect your booking to be honoured .

Arrived for steak night. Went to bar. Bar man? Manager? Unhelpful and couldn't be bothered. Had camera around his neck try pull the footage between 18.00 and 18.05. Asked for medium rare, lean sirloin steak. Menu states piece of fat on once edge of steak and guarantee tender. He said I can't assure that! I think he should if that's what your selling!.Steak arrived. Half of it was gristle and fat. No way that was a sirloin steak. Overcooked. Couldn't chew it. No pint in even asking bloke at bar to send it back. Disgusting.

I’ve been a regular since moving to colne recently Food is what you’d expect from a chain pub Friendly staff and locals What I am sick of is the group of drinkers who sit on the long table next to the fire every Monday and Friday swearing and arguing amongst themselves in front of children and yesterday “Trish” decided she’d come over after a bottle of red wine and try and start a rumpus in front of an elderly relative who’s birthday treat it was! Not good enough they got kicked out last week for similar behaviour and for the amount of money we spend in there daily I feel it should be dealt with!

Pre-Christmas, and not wanting to cook at home, five of us in the family thought it would be a great idea to pop into this ‘Spoons for a reasonably priced meal and some inexpensive drinks. What a bad idea. A mixed grill was served looking and tasting like each piece of meat had been put through an old-fashioned mangle. It was like Dubai... tasteless and very dry. Pies were served that seemingly had seen better days, and not the day that we ordered them. Sausage and mash floating in gravy like poor Titanic victims. Also the fact that you had to order via a clunky app meant you couldn't ask for slight food variations. The beer was cheap, but the cocktails weren't. Then the toilets. Greeted by the overwhelming stench of urine at the door of the gents, we should have left the pub whilst crossing our legs for the journey home. Sadly, needs must... yet the horror of these filthy toilets will stay with me for quite a while. They might qualify as possibly the most disgusting of any English pub. We banned the ladies from even trying the female loos. And the staff? It seemed that all of them were there for the wages, and none had been through any customer training. Wetherspoons need to reassess how it runs this pub.

Quote: "Put a load of mayonnaise on it, it'll take away the taste of the road" Now, I want to thank the Wetherspoon staff for pulling out the stops for my 60th birthday.. I was truly overwhelmed. Decorations, prezzies, Gromit cake, 'falling-down water' tokens. Special thanks to Kyly and Vicky ( and a certain other person) and those unsung. It was a long, lovely hugathon after a pretty crappy time. THANKYOU XXXXXXXX Now another new item: 'Fun' facts (Coz i can't afford my own blog!) We called in for a quick bite to eat during a shopping trip. Never again! It was dirty, and my food was inedible and disgusting! I ordered a cheddar and tomato panini. It was hard as concrete on the outside, and soggy inside with the tomatoes...no sign of any cheese! You would have needed a magnifyer to find any! The only thing that saved it was the side salad that I paid extra for. You couldn't cut the bread with a knife, and if I tried to eat it by picking it up I burnt my mouth on the tomatoes.... the table was not clean and remains of the last meal were lurking around on the seats and floor. It was dark and gloomy inside, so you probably wouldn't notice except we were near a window so it showed up. No one came over to ask if our meal was ok. Won't be going there again!

A continuing problem. People not overseeing their children especially when their meal is over and the overriding need is to witter on about things of bugger-all importance while the kids run about the pub screaming as if in a park. Of late, as in the past, management does little (Sorry, guys, but it's true) as they allow kids up to the bar itself AND to sit on it. I'm known here and i hope I'm respected as a decent fella so PLEASE, at least set aside a family area for punters to focus on with their pushchairs. Of course, it wouldn't be restricted to that but better than now as there are screaming babies in every part of the pub so you can't even move away. As a caveat to that, i regularly sit at a table furthest away from the main door, so why the bloody hell do these idiots negotiate all the way through tables annoying people Then, later they go all the way back...annoying people AGAIN There is a second door straight from the street to a comfortable room in this pub. Please go there!!! Oh, would help if the All-day coffee was done away with. WHY? You end up with the great unwashed sitting there for hours (Some with babies) and contributing nothing esp. money and using tables that others want to use TO EAT OFF AND THEREBY SPEND MONEY AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGHH

Ive been in here a good few times as I live in the area, and you only get what you pay for. this chain is well known for budget food and ale, whenever there is a compromise on price there is always a compromise on quality and quantity. you cant have it both ways. If you want to pay £4-5 for a meal then what do you really expect for that amount of money? A fish and chip take out is the same price. but this place has lights, wages, taxes, and a host of expenses to to pay for. As with all budget catering like Mcd and KFC they all pay minimum wages so staff turnover is high. so then they are only half trained before another new set of staff appears, and so it go's on and on. If you want top class service and food then go and pay for it in a real restaurant. I have to be honest for the money they ask for food I don't know how they put it together for that price. All in all this place is not to unlike most Wetherspoons up and down the country. You know exactly what its going to cost you for an evening in there. And its normally going to be a busy place. it will be relatively clean and modern. I think they are a good budget chain for what they charge.

We saw the Wetherspoons sign and knew we would get a reasonably priced meal hopefully in quick time. It was VERY busy in there! My husband asked a waiter what serving time was like and he told us fifteen minutes. My husband ordered chilli and I ordered vegetarian noodles. These were on a two for under eight pounds menu. Bargain! The meals came within ten minutes and were hot and tasty. The waiter was friendly and came back to check all was well. All in all we were happy and managed to get to the theatre on time. All that is stopping me scoring five stars is the table had not been cleaned which was probably down to how busy they were. Also, there was a somewhat loud and drunk group of people next to us and this made things a little awkward.I am sure on a quieter day the score would be different. There is a free car park behind the pub and it looked like there was a balcony on the back of the building. In summary, Efficient, friendly and reasonably priced. Worth a visit.

As far as Wetherspoons pubs go I tend to really like them or dislike them. As the standards of beer and food are generic, it is the style and furnishings of the pub and the attitude of staff that make the difference. As far as The Wallace Hartley is concerned, the decor is very smart and comfortable and quite in keeping with the great man himself. The staff I met were polite and efficient. And if you aren't in a rush - before you come in for your beer or meal, why not pop into the local cemetery which is only a 10 minute stroll up the road. The cemetery itself is rather lovely, with beautiful views beyond, but the purpose of your visit should be to pay homage to the splendid man who is buried here - Mr Wallace Hartley.

On a drive to no where this Bank Holiday Monday. Popular roads packed, so we ended up crossing the border from Yorkshire into Colne. 1st visit to this particular Wetherspoons. Always enjoying the themed interiors of Weatherspoon's, and if you don;t know who Wallace Hartley was suggest you do a quick Google !! Nice interior, I assume representing the interior of a certain vessel !!! Served efficiently by staff, and food soon arrived, however an extra burger was also brought to table. We explained we had not ordered it. Staff returned it to kitchen, but returned to explain the item had accidently been added to order, and I had infact been charged for it, so here was a refund. Honestly Wetherspoons are so competitive I never noticed the extra cost, so full marks for honesty. Additionally I had made a mess of the order for Ceaser Salad and not ordered Bacon. Staff insisted we had the bacon, without charge, and produced said bacon very quickly. As previous reports its pretty standard fare at Weatherspoon's, but value for money is good, and the food perfectly acceptable. Glad to report food here was no exception and we both enjoyed out meal.

having visited the wallace hartley on the 13th of november 2016 at 9pm until 12.30 am after enjoying a good night t 12.30 am we were approached by a member of staff to please finish our ďrinks as they were closing 5 minutes later the same member of staff turned the lights out in the entire building and said they would not go back on until the pub was vacated, surely this is not the right way to treat paying customers as you couldnt see where you was going and because of this will not be visiting this establishment in the future yours les & rose gott

Excellent friendly staff, we received our food just as we had ordered it including the changes we had asked for which the staff didn't seem to mind at all. The food was lovely and hot and great value as always.

We got to this restaurant at around 1730 and it was already very busy, which to me is a good sign. We had to find our own table rather than being greeted and shown to one which considering the number of people there was a bit difficult and then had to go to the bar to order, giving our table number. There is a good choice on the menu with some special offers available. The food came quickly, was very nicely presented and tasted good as well. We had a very nice sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry. Lisa, the waitress/barmaid who served us was very friendly without being over familiar. The price was good and the food good too.

I had chicken with noodles and a cup of tea. It is a busy place but it's nicley set out. Low prices attract many people. It has nooks and crannies, so if you like eating in a quiter room then you can. The food is basic but is tasty. The staff are very friendly. I enjoyed it.

This large pub is sited in the town centre and named after the bandsman aboard the ill-fated Titanic who died in the tragedy. Inside the interior decor is mauve and blue and there are plenty of photograph and displays showing Hartley and local town scenes. The spiral designed carpets are a bit loud in colour and the internal pillars are covered in shiny black tiles and there are a few large green plants too. There were sadly a number of elderly customers who saw fit to swear all too regularly, that aside the meal (all-day breakfast) was well-priced, quickly served and well-cooked, so no complaints at all with that.

If you want a lukewarm breakfast where only the sausage is hot, then visit this establishment. Otherwise go elsewhere.

Crap. Worst breakfast we have had. Sent eggs back because they were over cooked and cold. Replaced eggs, breakfast then cold. Asked for extra butter..... still waiting. Wont be returning for food. Not enough staff to cope. Only sue up to the job. Gone down hill since last visit.

Always rate this place, but I give it four stars today. No Buffalo wings and no gratefruit or orange for my gin! We have been loving this place until this week and feel bad that these little things were missing ❤

We have eaten here and it has always been good, one of the best wetherspoons eating places.Unfortuntely this visit turned out to be not a good experience. My wife had Gammon with a jacket which arrived just warm my father in law had Scampi which again was just warm and i had Steak and a jacket which was also warm,i was so hungry I just ate mine as we had waited so long for the food to arrive. My wife sent her Gammon back and they brought another one out but it came with chips, which my wife is gluten free and couldn't have them as they were coated so they took it back we said take the chips off and it will be alright,it went back again and eventually came right. Why was all our food cold and why did it take so long. They offered us a free desert.

Bargain drinks in a huge, well run, but slightly soulless pub. Everything, including food, great value, but you could be anywhere. The decor does make a nod to local history, but you have to look hard.

We have called in at this pub a number of times over the last 12 months when visiting Boundary Mill. The staff are always friendly and the food is cooked to a good standard. We have different selections from the menu which compare very well when compared to other Wetherspoon pubs. As previously mentioned the pub is in need of a refurbishment.

Hoped to spend a chilled Saturday afternoon with friends drinking cocktails and sharing some delicious food . We would usually always go to Wills across the road but decided to give this place a go . Never again!!! The two members of staff on duty were rude and incompetent and lacked even the basic customer service skills . I would like to say that it was because they were so busy but there were only 4 other customers in the place so absolutely no excuse for such poor service . Really disappointing

Do not order from here, they messed up my whole order and when you call the restaurant it doesn’t connect you to the cafe. There is no number for the cafe so now I have to submit a refund that will take days with food that I can’t even eat. What an absolute joke!!!!

This is the second time I have left disappointed! Food was bland, everybody commented about the pizzas having very little cheese and toppings on them. We ordered some drinks after our meal which took 45 minutes to come! There were two other small tables in and nobody at the bar so the hold up was unnecessary. We complained to the staff but they weren’t bothered at all and was merely apologetic. The restaurant had an awful sewage smell as well just to top it off. Will not be returning.

We went to the cafe bistro for dinner and I could say 1 nice thing about the cafe the staff were nice and that is it. The sausages were cooked in the microwave and the jacket potatoes cooked in the microwave with a cheese slice melted on top. I can honestly say it is the worst cafe we have been to especially with the premium price tag. We paid £37 for food warmed up in the microwave!
