This tearoom has the most scrumptious cakes. Everything is homemade and the place is lovely and clean. Love their breakfast sandwiches too!

I never write reviews but we stumbled across this place looking for coffee, and it not only ended up being extortionate for the quality, but the staff were some of the rudest we have encountered!! Super unfriendly and at one point down right rude, which we found odd for such a quaint place. Bizarre

We have been here on several occasions over the past few years and, quite honestly, it never disappoints. The service, food, drinks, situation in the village and value for money is top rate. A deightfully olde worlde tea room in an idyllic village. My partner's family had ancestors here for nearly 400 years so it is a very significant village for her. So quiet and peaceful and the Tea Room was wonderful. A pot of Earl Grey and two fruit scones with jam and clotted cream each whilst we sat outside - really lovely and relaxing!

My first visit since the pandemic and I was not dissappointed. They have enlarged the outdoor area and its very welcoming plus attractively done too. The coffee and scones were the best. We have been here a few times over the last few years. On our last visit we enjoyed lovely Summer weather in this quintessential English setting. During this period of Covid restrictions there is plenty of outside seating and in good weather this ideal. Ordered two pieces of cake, raspberry and vanilla plus elderflower and goosberry. Both were excellent and complemented our pot of Assam perfectly. (Next time I must try the scones as they looked great!)

We found this delightful tea shop by chance while touring around the area on our motorbike. We sat in the garden as it was a nice day. We didn't book but a table for 2 became available as we arrived. Most tables outside were reserved so it obviously is a good idea to book. The cheese and tomato toasted sandwiches on wholemeal bread and fruit teas were excellent! We had large fruit scones with butter and jam for 2nds. The food and service was the best I have experienced in a long time. Would definitely recommend and return another day.

We had a brunch here a couple of Sundays ago. Three generations of our family sat out the front of the tea room overlooking the green. It was a perfect sunny morning and the tea room didn't disappoint! The scrambled egg and salmon was delicious as were the bacon sandwiches. Our youngest party members were delighted with their beans on toast. Despite being full, we couldn't resist the homemade cakes which were divine - a special mention for the coffee and walnut cake which was amazing. My Dad doesn't have such a sweet tooth and said the scones were great - praise indeed! They even had gluten free scones for my Mum which was an added bonus. The owners are very friendly, as are the younger girls working there. We will definitely be back. We enjoyed every minute. Huge thumbs up from us all :-)

Pretty village postcard setting,we were sitting outside overlooking the village green. Good points: Good service, excellent loose leaf teas and excellent toasted Brie, cranberry and bacon sandwich. Not so good points: My English breakfast was pretty average, especially the bacon and sausages. A little disappointed on this front. When we are in the area we usually eat at Pearces Farm. The food there is much the same price but quality there is second to none but Pearces is in the Good Food Guide so maybe an unfair comparison. I just felt the prices were a little too high but you do get a unique and picturesque setting. Recommended despite this caveat.

Just about the best tearoom I've visited in a while; beautiful setting, tastefully themed décor to take you back in time, providing a lovely cosy atmosphere in which to dine and browse the goods on display for sale. Great quality food - as a pie and scotch-egg lover, I was in my element with the locally produced examples on offer - tea and coffee served as they should be, and I can only take my Partner's word for the quality of the cakes, but they looked fabulous. I am a very regular regular and I keep coming back because:# Alex and Joanne (and their staff) are such delightful sincere welcoming hosts# All the cakes are baked right there by them (I tried them all, 12 cakes- a different slice every time until I'd tried them all - my current fave is the golden syrup flap jack)# The location is idyllic, scenic tiny English village, not even a train station and hardly a mobile data signal - people talk to each other!# I have showed up on my bicycle just before closing time quite often, never a problem even in the winter and when I'm the only customer - I always get friendly service and a nice chat# The coffee is good! My typical Herts loop is about 60 miles, I pass plenty other cafes and had tried a fair few but for me Westmill tea room is the best - as you can probably tell by this long review!Lovely tea room in a quaint setting - highly recommended! Will

After lunch here today with ourc17 month old grandson I was told there was no baby changing table in the toilets (it's advertised as a family friendly pub)so as a 68 year old grandmother I had to change my grandson on the FLOOR of the disabled toilet.I then disposed of his UNSOILED nappy(it was just wet) wrapped it over and place it in the flip lid bin in the toilet) The manager then came over to me and informed me in front of a FULL restaurant to remove the DIRTY nappy from the toilet bin and takecit home"We are a pub"we do jot have baby changing facilities"???.It was not dirty and I felt humiliated in front of the other diners.I shall not return.

Came here to watch the rugby, the setting is great loads of tv’s showing a large selection of sports. A good selection of pints. We stayed on after the match for some food, had a decent burger but the nachos were shocking
