This pub has changed so much since Kelly &John have taken over, Amazing family and staff.. Great place thankyou for changing our local to somewhere so family friendly & welcoming.

I have lived in Ware for 20 years and have never been to this pub. Visited it on Saturday and was very surprised with the garden and atmosphere. Good beer and good food and great service, what more can you ask for. Will definitely recommend.

Found this to be a very nice proper pub, I was there for a dart match, beer and service very good.

Went in for Xmas Eve and it was excellent. Very welcoming, lovely environment and Hermione behind the bar was superb! Will be returning!

Pool table, 2 dart boards a duke box (free on a Thursday) and well kept Guiness... Nice friendly pub on the edge of Ware.

Looking for a meal on the way back from a day out, we came upon the Rose and crown, and decided it looked like it was worth a try. It really REALLY was !! The food was excellent, plentiful,professionally presented and served in a friendly atmosphere.Pricing was competitive, good value for money certainly. We would definitely return for more if we are in the area.

Friendly local McMullen pub, good for a quick pint. Locals and the landlord are always friendly.

Simply WOW! What great food and lots of it along with a range of great vegetables! I had a mixed meat option and I was not let down! Great value for money and the service and atmosphere was second to none! I have paid more money in what are apparently better establishments and nothing comes close to what I was served and enjoyed.My food was served very well and politely by the staff. Nothing was to much trouble and there was a good range of lagers and ales/bitters. I wanted to try the local AK bitter before I purchased a pint which was no trouble at all for the middle aged barman who run the bar very well indeed.I will be back with my family without a doubt! Who says pubs are dead these days or they are to expensive!

Great staff and newly decorated. A must visit place if you want to relax and chill with a drink. They have a large beer garden and something for the kids.

This is a fabulous newly refurbished public house. It does do food every day but on a Thursday and Sunday evening it serves Thai cuisine (Really lovely) takeaway also. Sunday is traditional roast. This week we went and there was a choice of 3 meats. Large or small meal available. Meat was served with all traditional elements and trimmings and an excellent selection of fresh vegetables. Couldn't fault it. Will definitely return.

En primer lugar, me sorprendió que los gritos e insultos por un puñado de hombres estaba permitido llevar, con niños y diners en el bar.El servicio era bastante mala, los platos no aclaró de arranque antes de la principal salía, tenía que hacerlo yo. Tanto los aperitivos y platos principales dadas a la persona equivocada. Con sólo 1 otros mesa de comedor, no demasiado difícil de recordar! Peor aún un cuchillo y tenedor sucio lo llevaron de chapa de arrastre de mi socio y poner en mi plato!La comida tailandesa era bastante normal, se puede conseguir mejor en Ware.Precioso jardín de cerveza.

Guau. Fuimos un domingo y la calidad de la comida y la relación calidad-precio tengo que decir que fue fantástico.Teníamos la carne asada (gran calidad y servir) que sirvieron con brócoli, coliflor, zanahorias, patatas, Arroz con Patacas Chirivías, Yorkshire, relleno de bolas y la salsa más sabrosa. Sin duda volveremos a por más. Pruébalo, no te arrepentirás.

Good value 'chain type' pub/food venue. Lovely riverside terrace with wide choice of meals/drinks. Keeps good ale.

We had the good fortune to choose to visit the Rose and Crown for Sunday lunch and were blown away. The food was absolutely superb, the beef was perfectly cooked, the vegetables were just about perfect, and the atmosphere was just so warm and inviting, it is an experience we cannot wait to try again. There was a fantastic selection of different roasts available, as well as vegetarian options. The landlord was very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The price was so reasonable as well, and great value for money, especially if one is accompanied by the parents or children as there is fantastic discount. This is certainly one to return back to, indeed, we already have plans to return on Thursday to try the Thai menu. We have been assured that it is worth coming back for, being cooked authentically.

Great food, great value, great atmosphere. We were very impressed and will certainly be coming back to try the Thai food on a Thursday or Sunday - or both! If the Thai is as good as the roast, then it will be very good indeed. Really friendly and welcoming landlord, nothing was too much trouble for him or his staff. Very highly recommended.
