Great fish and chips,a good sized chip without all the scrappy bits that end up in the bin.

Absolutely fantastic chippy had the Scallop Special wow absolutely stuffed and a complete Bargain at £3.50 !

Lovely cheeky Yorkshire lassies serve and entertain! cooked to order fish, chips & Chinese curry sauce my favourite since trying it after the normal curry sauce ran out! Peas so good as well!

Was passing by and had to try, I wasn't disappointed really nice fish and chips.

Called in for lunch, and the two ladies who were behind the counter were great. I placed my order, and I got the lunchtime special fish goujons and chips yummy thanks, ladies. I will call again

Got chips and fish cake chips woz skabby littlebits and fish cake woz small and still hade rock hard potato in side it woz ok bean ear cuppl of times it woz ok dont think il be going back

Very Disappointed with portion sizes (small) and fish especially tiny Assistant favoured male customers with larger portions and so occupied with flirting with them she forgot to include “bits” as asked for. Used to be a good chip pie but won’t be visiting again.

Popped in here on a Friday lunchtime when it was understandably busy. Two women working and one yelling ‘how many fish’ as soon as you step over the threshold. Personally I think the portion was small and expensive £6 for fish and chips. The staff came across as ill tempered, impatient and impolite. It’s also very cheeky that they add 10p onto your bill for a bag regardless of whether you asked for one or not.

Good covid guidelines met. Good service even though it was very busy. Had to queue outside but proves its a good place. Lovely fish n chips too.

Our Friday treat, always freshly fried, top quality fish, nice and friendly staff. We pass a lot of other fish shops to get to this one and you would have to travel a long way to rival them.

How lovely.. So today I went to this fish shop to get my little boy some lunch. Unfortunately they were closing, however the kind lady offered my son free sausage and chips 😊 He really enjoyed them so thank you very much. Will definitely be returning! Small gestures can make someone’s day.

So I'm working on call and I have half hour to spare and I'm hungry so I see this fish and chip shop quick solution so I thought not so quick after all.so out of my half hour I waited nearly 20 mins just for a tray of chips in the end I ended up walking out.the lady on the counter was slower than a snail and the fish fryer needed to get a personality transplant.looked like she had been slapped by one of her own fish.no sorts to the 7 people why it was taking so long.a woman had a big order for kids meal and all that so what did the fish fryer do.just stood there watching the other lady struggle and still not frying anything.ive been in here a couple of times and every time these two lady's are on it's a waiting game.scrap the staff and get more cheerful ones in who are willing to have a conversation with ya while your waiting.can safely say won't be going back here again.never been so disappointed in customer service as I was when I went in Tonight dreadful awful

I've felt this place has been going downhill for a while now and this time I've been totally put off from returning. One portion of fish and chips was small, with what looked like a mixture of old and new chips. They were different colours and textures. I got a separate fish for my Daughter and it was the smallest I've ever seen from a fish and chip shop. The bread cake that came with my son's fish was quite hard on the bottom and fat had penetrated the fish making it hard in places.

The chips like to sit in the warmer for an absolute age; the fish does not like flavor at all All the food aspires to mediocrity and some reaches the dizzy height of terrible. Go elsewhere. Even the mushy peas like to join in with their watery blandness.

The owner has this shop and the one by the Bull at Lindley a couple of miles up the road, visited a few time at lunch and supper and the fish at both shops are the best in the districts by far, thick pieces of haddock in crispy light batter. Try these you will not be disappointed

Everything i have had here has been really nice. The fish is good and the chips are cooked through which is really al you can ask for. I have given four instead of five due to inconsistent portion sizes (chips) sometimes you get plenty, other times you don't get enough.

Came across this Chippy whilst delivering via work. What a belter. Cracking fish and even got asked when I wanted a teacake 'do you want a long one'. Brill chippy. Excellent really white fish and a teacake to fit rather than a round one, I think? If in the area again I will be calling in.

I used to use this place alot but what annoys me is when closing time is shown as 1 30 why they cannot take orders or cook anything after 1 10. Just lazy and as a result lost my custom.
