Westend City Takeaway in Chelmsford

So Sunday night 17.30 so no late order chicken sausage and chips. All stone cold the sausage was terrible and like rubber, the chios looked like and tasted like they had been there since 2 days ago. The place is a dump DO NOT GO THERE SAVE YOUR MONEY. Would not feed this to my dog its a shame i have to give only 1star should be no stars

How do I describe the absolute dog turd that was served to me tonight. Seriously! Shut this hole down as it it quite simply should not be allowed to serve food. You should be ashamed of yourself! I will be reporting this venue to the health inspectors so nobody else gets served this absolute slop. Appreciate it’s a kebab shop but come on! You have a responsibility to care about the food you serve. What you are doing or shut down.

I get chips at Westend every Saturday for lunch and they never disappoint me! I always get great service.

Was not happy with my order and instead of trying to work with me to sort out the problem, the staff was very rude to me and refused to help! Have since spoken to other people who have had a much similar experience!

Rude staff that don't make you feel very welcome. Also had to watch on as one of the workers belittled another worker, shouting and waving his hands near his face as the other worker who seemed new to the job looked down at the floor in embarrassment, totally unprofessional. As for the food it's pretty expensive for what you get and pretty tasteless. Will not be returning and will be telling friends and family to AVOID.

The chips were cooked to order, so thought they would be acceptable. However having got home, they were not cooked for one enough and still raw on the inside, and very oily on the outside! Portion size was questionable for a large portion! Saveloy was raw! Barely warm. Customer service, was as always, terrible, rude, did not listen and had to remind them several times of my order. If you get off the train and need fast good food - DO NOT GO HERE!

Terrible customer service, ordered fish,chip,scampi, over cooked, batter on fish hard as rocks, scampi very over cooked. Took back the remains of our meal, hopefully for refund. Was told that I should have asked for less batter on fish, and not to over cook our order, oh my that’s a first. Oh silly me why didn’t I think of that. Have used this place on occasion over the last 6/7 years, wont be going there again, told shop disgusted with their customer service and their food. My supper wasn’t opened so did get refund for it, but he offered mine back as it was going in the dustbin. I very politely refused it.

This company took payment for my order online and then charged my partner cash on the door. When we contacted the restaurant we were basically called liars and they told us we wouldn’t get our money back. The food wasn’t worth £13 let alone £27, the only think passable was the garlic bread. Chicken was dry and the meat was grey.

I NEVER write reviews but this annoyed me so much, here is goes..... Delivery driver good as gold. He delivered food ilon time. The customer service from the people you order over the phone from.... HORRIBLE. I work in a really face pace environment. And I could not call after ate to let them know that they didn’t pack my drink as I had to return to work. Now I’m on my second break I called to let them know and the man is saying he’s NOT delivering my drink or my money because ‘calling four hours later is like calling the next day’. I tried many times to get him to understand my point but he was continuously rude which made me very annoyed. Terrible customer service. Wish I had the drivers number, he was much more pleasant & by his kindness I was thinking of ordering again sometime. & to top it off the driver didn’t have the right change to give me so I told him not to worry. Just over £1 but it’s the principle. Crappy customer service with the man who answered the phone, when have you known it to be a customers fault that THEY didn't pack my drink and get my order right.. Honestly, the things businesses will do even for 1p extra. LESSON: Food always ends up tasting bad when you have bad service with it. Good luck for those who still want to proceed in ordering from this place.

If you've been out all day drinking then any port in a storm but the food is awful. Stay away and find yourself anywhere better.

Chicken not great, not cooked well enough, doner meat on its own is £5.90!!!! Worst of all is fish and chip style chips served with fried chicken. Doesn't go. Go back to French fries and fried chicken, tried and tested sales by all of your competitors!

We order big lunches for the office and these guys deliver hot, on time, clean and tasty every time.

West end city is one of the worst place to eat unless you enjoy disgusting food.. food was cold and spoke to the Boss he can barely speak english, he was rude on the phone. i tried explaining to him that i wanted to order a deal which he had on hungry house and he was telling me the price is different, when asked how come its different, he asked me to go and speak to hungry house, he is a stupid moron, if you are the bloody boss you go and deal with hungry house, its your name on the website. Apparently they got new management which i bet its lies and they are the same people just different name.. stay away from this place.. they serve rotten foods

Our meal tonight was delivered cold. The meat smelled off and the extra toppings I'd asked for on my pizza were missing, as was the salad and sauce for the kebab. Had we been able to drive, we would have taken the whole lot back and asked for a refund. Never again 😡😡😡

The chicken was dry! The pita was hard as wood. I can honestly say this relys on drunk city folk with no taste buds to keep them open. Actually thought I might be I'll after. Go to tescos and grab a sandwich. The décor is 1990s grease stained hell hole. Avoid.

Food arrived promptly. Very disappointed in the size of the curry sauce as tiny tub and only 2/3 full. Food arrived pretty cold and had to reheat in the microwave. Don't think I'd order again from them

this was a disaster, like your food hygiene rating.

Always been pleased with our orders from here. Nothing exceptional but is consistently decent enough to encourage repeat orders! Wedges can be really good and is normally the reason we choose to order from here!

Good speed of service and restaurant service. Good was mostly nice however the kebab meat was very greasy and slimy, and the sausage was very dry almost like how cardboard would probably taste.

Didn't actually get what I ordered.. Can understand if they ran out I would if understood with a simple phone call my child couldn't eat it as the wings and wedges were unsuitable for her.. Pizza was lovely but the wrong deal

Previously food from here has been great, however this time I spent hours on the toilet and the rest of night feeling like my mouth was a desert! Was so thirsty I couldn't sleep properly, not mention frequent trips to the toilet! Not a good experience at all this time. Very disappointing!

So my food arrived quick which was nice considering how late I ordered on a Saturday, but not all my food actually arrived so rang back straight away and told them that some of my order was missing guy seemed nice and said they would send it out for me straight! Only for an hour later well after they closed my food had not arrived! I think this is a joke to be honest as was assured it would be coming and didn't so ended up paying and only getting half what I ordered think it's a joke if I'm honest!

Awful place now..was the best chips in the City, but now gives you Delli belly!..Hygiene rating of 1/5!....do yourself a favour and keep walking!...More interested in the taxi business they run, cars parked outside, drivers with doors open blocking your passage on the pavement and parking illegally, thereby making Duke Street trashy!

An hour & half late rude customer service when calling to ask where my order is when the food finally made it there was no apology the food was cold & soggy it's a shame I paid online because they wouldn't of got a penny out of me otherwise will not be ordering from these again Unacceptable

The rudest staff ever . The 2nd time I've had abuse over the phone regarding waiting over an hour for delivery, that's Defo the last time I get spoken too like that. I'll take my money elsewhere in future.

Yet another Just Eat service the ignores delivery note, rings 40 minutes early to say they are outside your house despite the request specifically says do not deliver early as I will not be there and then turns up at the specified time with luke warm limp food that has obviously sat in the drivers car for the last 40 minutes and when questioned the driver swears he went back and they cooked fresh. Another one off my list to use again.

Ordered the burger deal 2 quater pound

Ordered and paid for additional pepperoni. Pizza arrived with pineapple, my least favourite topping. Asked peppers not chillies on one pizza. Got peppers on both. Long time west end city customer but will try somewhere new next time.

It's pants don't order from here... The pasta was crisp burnt! The sausage was 100% old! The beans were hard and the corn on the cob wasn't fresh. It took them nearly an hour and half to get to me as well... Won't order here again!

Chips looked horrible and the fish was greedy so I will not be buying cod and chips again

Really nice cheap takeaway although sometimes the chicken and wings are abit old and brown looking and dry ! Other than that everything else is tasty especially the slightly spiced saveloy Everything you could want in a combination of fast easy food I've ordered twice now and will defiantly order again Oink oink 😮👍🏽

The food tasted awful. Chips, chicken and onion rings, all dry and tasteless. Compared to chewing cardboard. Impression that food was cooked hours ago and kept warm.

We ordered a kebab and fish&chips for lunch for 2 person £15! The delivery was quick and we were really surprised with the portion size! It was for more than 2 person so we had to share with other ppl. This is cheap for that size! It was hot and tasty also! We will order again soon...thank you!

I am so disappointed as the food is lovely but forgotten items made it bad. I called the takeaway and they said 15 mins it's now been 40 mins and I'm extremely annoyed! For some people a takeaway is a treat for others it's because they cannot physically make food due to illness being one of those people I would advise to go elsewhere..

The food was cold (chicken wings) and i ordered cheesy chips... The cheese wasn't even melted and did not look like cheese. The delivery man was rude and did not speak and snatched the money (paid by cash) from my hands. Terrible.

When the food arrived the kebab meat was just warm and very greasy we couldn't eat the pitta bread was hard like a rock salad was missing the garlic bread and saveloys were cold as well we called just eat and asked for a refund on this occasion very disappointed! !!!! And sorry we won't be back!!!!

Ordered a kebab wrap and chips with garlic sauce. Definitely not garlic sauce, it is yogurt and mint which I was not told about. Couldn't eat it as it was so disgusting, called the takeaway to have a very rude woman tell me that it was garlic sauce and that she wasn't willing to do anything about it. Ordered a piece of chicken which was very dry and not even worth the £1.50 I paid for it. Very rude staff and very average food.

I waited almost 2 hours for my food to arrive, after an hour I phone up to ask where it was & was told it left the shop 15 minutes ago, i then waited another 15 minutes and it still hasn't arrived I phoned again to be told they could not help me at all, the food finally aririved some time later but It was stone cold and unedable we sent the food back and phoned them again to be told they would send more food out the lady on the phone had no interest in what I had to say until I asked to speak to the manager in which I could hear him in the back ground with no sympathy at all no other of a discount and we would have had to wait another hour for the second deliver so we went else where to krazy cheif which provided excellent service and delivered our food within half an hour I would highly recomend them and not this joke of a fast food chain

Very fast very hot, good tasty food.

Although I did not received my food and after 2 hours I did call and cancel my order. Still I believe the food is fine and I will use it the take way again. But may be use the collection service as the driver of the takeaway always seems to get lost and hard to make them understand my location over phone because of language barrier although I live the most easy to find address in Chelmsford.

I am very disappointed at the fact my delivery driver stank of weed, please tell me how I am meant to want to eat my dinner after feeling very faint at the smell when I opened the door? I then also got accused of not paying for my meal even though I had quite clearly paid online (as stated on the receipt on the bag)
