McDonald's in Chelmsford

The place has been revamped, and has improved. Is with them walk from the town centre as the McDonald's there is shoddy. Good here tastes better, fresh, hot. The place is less noisy, and cleaner.

Need advertising boards when you go to the drive thru.you have to sit there asking questions

as so often happens with these orders, all sauces were missing.

The hot chocolate was weak slop like they had taken it out of the drip tray, really no taste at all. The muffin was cold too. Also ordered ketchup dips for my hash brown but they never turned up. All in all a waste of money.

Missing burger and half of chips. bag with food in was ripped so food was tampered with. Drink was spilled half drink was soaked up by napkins absolute disgrace.

There was no straw and no garlic mayo although I had ordered it extra. Secondly the drink was flat so I had to throw it away. Lastly the philly cheese burger’s bun was so dry and hard that I couldn’t eat it. Just the double cheese burger and the twix mcflurry was okay to eat nothing else. Very sorry to say it was a complete disappointment

Tet again the staff in McDonald's can't read an order! This is the fourth time they have messed up my order!! Will not be ordering again and would advise other people not to do so.. unless you have money to give away to idiots! Disgusting

The Diet Coke had spilled into the bag so half of it was missing and the burger in paper and straw were soggy. The food was also freezing cold. It took 40 minutes for delivery for two meals too.

The manager then come out and said there's nothing he can do and had to by my children's missing items again!. remember McDonald's is a franchise so this riverside one is run by absolutely morons who do not care about there customers!. I ordered drive - tru about 5:15 pm I ordered 2:Big Mc x2 and for my husband and son and 2 burgers for myself The teller didn't give my reciept snd paid cash total of 10 :66 When wevget home my son eat his Big mac and told him the other one is for his dad My husband was so hungry às we been to hospital I didn't realise we only had one Big Mac and we have 2 drinks I tried to contact them on the phone and there is no answer Not a good custumer service and never trust their people Disorganised and nit looking their order

I don’t think McDonald’s staff can actually read because every time I make an order from this place is always a mess up. I ordered three hot chocolates not 3 large cappuccinos. What’s my children going to be drinking cappuccinos for I asked for one cappuccino and three hot chocolates. Why do I have 3 cappuccinos and one cup of milk? So I suggest you best to make sure your staff can read properly.

Absolutely disgusting. Took my son there yesterday and to start off half the stuff was unavailable. 2nd the chips were disgusting, ove two thirds were inedible. Most completely black. Look like they had just reheated the ones at the bottom of the fryer. 3rd the chicken nuggets were even worse. I knew there was something wrong when my 2 year old spat them out. He normally loves them. They had absolutely no taste and also looked like they had just recooked ones that were sitting there all morning and also were vile tasting I sent them back and they were fine with it. Said they would make a fresh batch and the ones they gave me back just looked and tasted exactly like the ones I sent back. Only decent part of the whole meal was the coke Will not be going back again

Happy to upgrade this restaurant from a 1 star review in 2020 to 3 star in 2024. It’s improving massively. Cleaner, better staff and management plus it’s more welcoming.

Food was on time but the drink had spilt everywhere. Can’t fault the driver as he was very apologetic. Accidents happen. But wasn’t impressed with soggy food.

Me and my partner ordered McFlurrys two plain and two munchies both under field and in Coke cups why can’t you do your jobs

Cold chips, wrong burger, half filled chips, no sauces, no napkins, no straws, asked for a refund got told no as it was deliver in the time slot, the food went in the bin

Driver called and asked if I could come get the food of him by the time I got there he left my food by the lift!

The food took over an hour and a half. It was cold not properly cooked and not what i ordered .

Visited McDonald's for little break and refuel to continue shopping. The restaurant look cleaned, toliets also. I did have to wipe the table before sitting but just liquid not food. Got our order wrong but very quickly corrected, no questions asked. Used the table service which is excellent idea, especially when busy. The food never looked like the picture advertising it but never does. Don't go often but enjoyed our experience again.

Sat in silence at drive thru for a very long time waiting to be asked for our order. Strange as we were literally the only car. Eventually a very loud rude person informed us that they have no milkshakes.iced drinks, ice creams, frappes etc. He seemed to think that was quite funny..This is still the worst drive thru in Chelmsford.

3 flurrys missing. ordered 2 raspberry and white chocolate pies and got galaxy caramel ones. big mac was missing so somebody didn't get food.

Very unfriendly staff member who acted strangely to my daughter. I ordered on the screen while my 6yo daughter sat at a table. She soon came up to me and said the man took her kitty toy.. I saw the cleaner put it in a locked cupboard and I asked for it back. The staff member was very hard to communicate with but reluctantly gave it back. Food arrived late. Mcspicy burger was rock solid hard to eat. Restaurant was messy. Cleaner just standing in corner looking at us. On leaving my daughter lost kitty again. I searched for it asked same cleaner who was very defensive and suspicious. Just felt uncomfortable. Ladies toilet out of order too. Very poor

Been back since it reopened a few times and I allways go on a Saturday morning for breakfast before work and the drive through is extremely slow , there can be 2 or 3 cars and it still take a silly amount of time to get through it

Courier was sat waiting for over an hour. I’m assuming it was made and just left on the add without informing him. As eventually when our food got to us, it was completely stone cold and stale. Placed the order almost two hours before it arrived.

no point ordering from this mcdonalds. left the driver waiting in the restaurant for 45 minutes before handing the food to him to the deliver it cold. not the drivers fault at all. never had a good order from here. this will be my last for sure

Delivery driver wasn’t as friendly as expected. Disappointed by experience but food arrived in good condition.

Most McDonald's have got rid of the tills in favour of the self order screens. Toilets were clean. Most of the seating now hard maybe so it's easier to clean on the expense of comfort. Could do with Usb charge points for longer student visits.
