. Food is good if you need something quick

My nieces birthday party was McDonald’s and ninja warrior for 18 people! We went into McDonalds 15 mins before everyone arrived and asked if we could have some tables together. They opened upstairs for us and when I placed the order they were all on standby ready to box up the happy meals and do the drinks! They even bought everything upstairs for us and made sure all the orders were correct! They went over and above as far as I am concerned and at the last minute! I also noticed that even though we placed a big order no one else waited for the food they ordered alongside ours! Thank you so much to the team for making this part of the day so easy!

Very busy at the time I got there but the service was efficient. I jist wish they could bring the food with optional condiments.

The place was quite dirty and one of the machines didn't work.

Great food, really friendly staff and the atmosphere is also good.

Just a good McDonald's experience

Ordered a coke which was flat, returned it and was given another coke which was also flat. My daughter ordered mayo chicken without mayo but it came with mayo. I came out to eat with my family but half of them had ate by the time we sorted all this and mine and my daughter’s food was cold. The lady offered to replace my chips for warm ones but if I did that our burgers would then get cold. Milkshakes have changed too and taste like chemicals now.

Careful when visiting as seems to be always full of teenage people

Small technical issue with the kiosk, but the food was quick and service was great as well.

Sometimes can wait a while for food especially at peak times, staff are nice especially the managers, have seen them charge phones for the homeless multiple times,

The McDonald’s security just abused me. As a female the two security guards had to get the bouncer to apologise as he grabbed me, snatched my McDonald’s as I had one chip in my hand. I am now so hurt I have ended up in hospital as he has not understood his own strength. My arm is very bruised and I will be continuously report until he is fired. Never recommend . Should be fired. Absolutely awful! The bouncer tried fighting my bestfriend who is Teacher whilst I water for my food. Diabolical behaviour felt so unsafe and vulnerable. Literally we’re not disruptive whatsoever. Disgusting…

i asked for a chocolate milkshake and received what looked to be the right one but tasted entirely like banana milkshake. unimpressed.

Bit odd ordered burger, chips, coffee, and an apple pie. Brought everything else then said 6 mins for apple pie. Had to ask for new everything else when pie was ready as it was takeaway!

Cheeseburger served without cheese. Yum.

A few years ago I went into a local McDonald's with my wife and grandson, they ordered their food, leaving me to decide on mine. Next in the queue the sole assistant behind the counter turned towards me, I opened my mouth to speak and he looked straight through me, taking the order of the person behind me. I reacted, there was no apology, not even after the counter has received a slap with the palm of my hand. The assistant was told I would never ever use any branch of McDonald's again. Still no reaction and to cap it all the manager just stood behind the food racks clearly watching and hearing what had taken place - their lack of involvement to deal with very obvious customer dissatisfaction seemed to echo that of the assistant - total disinterest. I have kept that word, made some fifteen years ago.

Good McDonald's. Clean. Lots seating. Nice and helpful staff. Chips were cold but staff brought hot chips immediately after informing them. Outside seating is nice but was dirty.

Omg, can you for once actually get an order right, like how are you allowed to make so many mistakes. The last 4 times I have ordered in store or via the app you screw my order up. Do you not have anyone that can read? Honestly a joke, last time you ruin my lunch!

Feel very sorry for the staff, overworked but you can tell they’re always doing their best. Food from here is consistently good I have never had an issue, and service is always really fast considering the volume of orders they have Just a shame the first floor isn’t always open, I much prefer the quiet to the ground floor

Absolutely absurd services unkind atmosphere with shouting men in the building people being anti social around my kids and there was very rude people staring at me in an unkind way. Would not come back here.the drinks were broken as shown in photo my food was cold it was EVEN raining outside! 😡🤬🤬🤬

When I was getting food yesterday around 4pm I got given my food by a manger called James his attitude was disgusting and disrespectful definitely not coming back

I would say please shut down all the Mcdonalds over in UK, they are simply stealing common mans hardearned money, The normal chese burger now is just the size of a 2 pound coin.

McDonald's hash browns are a game changer and probably the definition of perfection, only rated 4 stars because they only give 1 syrup pot per pancake order =p

Fast service, tasty food and very cheap but very busy

Pretty poor service compared to other restaurants. Painfully difficult to get thr right food and then it was cold

Sometimes on most occasion its dirty in the store dirty tables and food left everywhere. Kids treat it as a hang out and theres no peace to eat your food. Sometimes the food is served cold and isnt enjoyable the chips arent always cooked properly needs more qualified people working there.

i came to this mcdonald's with high expectations and left feeling disappointed and grossed out by the pure state of this establishment, the bins was completely full which resulted in 90% of the tables full of peoples rubbish, not to mention all the order screens receipt being empty so i didnt know my order. children are sitting in the corner of the so called “restaurant” vaping. the food was below average and the staff management was poor. will not be returning!

Ordered a medium take out with the burger having extra cheese. Waited 20 minutes for it only for the burger to be a normal cheeseburger with just ketchup, whereas my order on the bag clearly states extra cheese (with everything else)?? Waited too long only for a wrong order.

It's just a McDonald's so you can't expect too much. Self service screens a little unresponsive and then never seem to give out a receipt making collecting your food more hassle than it should be. Food was good though, hot and fresh. The sauce dispensers were out of action and that seems to happen quite frequently too.

It was very nice and I loved it.

I took my granddaughter there as it was her choice, I had a limited edition burger meal, both chips and burger were luke warm, I changed the chips before trying the burger, ended up throwing it away, won’t be going back.

Fast and good service. No oat milk or brown sugar though. Table service quick and easy.

Chelmsford town centre on a Sunday night quite dirty on the tables but really nice staff there

Went in the evening, quick food, easy to order on the screens and low priced.

Delivery was diabolical half the food was missing turned up freezing cold was told I'd get a full refund then told the next day call ubereats was told would only refund missing food disgusting service never get the delivery right but first time it was stone cold as well as missing items compleat waste of £30 threw it in the bin and had to cook myself

It was my first time in Macdonalds, i was a bit frustrated, self ordering on the machine, and there were no assistants to show you how to do it. It was ok, though, in the end.

Half filled drinks, poorly put together burgers that you have to take apart and re-build yourself. Every single time we have ordered from here it is abysmal. Don't know what the management actually does here but it certainly isn't quality control. Just the same as every other McDonald's in Chelmsford.

We went to this McDonald's unexpectedly on our way home. It's a small McDonald's with reasonable amount of parking but if it's busy then it would be hard to park exactly outside. Food was nice the surrounded was clean, floor staff was very helpful and attractive. Check your orders once given to you as we had 2 Items missing

The food was fine. The normal Mac food. Service is not good as half the place was closed with the upstairs place too. They did not serve our food in trays, instead we had to take it in paper bags and eat on the tables! This was the case for everyone! They did even provide us with Ketchup!

Great maccies, can get very busy and loud with kids but other than that it’s good. The staff are nice and friendly

Ordered a semi large order of £30.56 take home and when reached home a burger was left out. This is the third time they miss out on items in an order and it's really poor service.

Despite this restaurant being absolute chaos most of the time the staff seem to cope very well and I take my hat off to them (if I wore a hat!) The atmosphere of course is terrible- but what else do you expect... its always kept clean though and the staff are freidnly enough despite the horrid customers they deal with on a daily basis. Food is pretty awful but itleast at this venue it seems to come out hot which is high praise for most Mcdonald chains.

Great place to meet family and friends. Reasonably priced.

Nice and clean. The breakfast we had there was nice in taste.

Staff weren't smiley or happy or even polite, Food was alright although some bits were our of stock, atmosphere was fine but not enough space in-between seating areas.

I felt really unsafe in this Macdonald's and I will definitely not be returning as I felt I could get stabbed at any moment.

Rough. Toilets are always disgusting. Broken toilet seats, toilet roll everywhere other than in the dispenser and god knows what on the wall. Everyone is miserable. People just grunt at you. Sam the crew trainer is very polite and helpful

Food was hot and came quickly I wa there for breakfast, I’ve had other food there before with custom orders but they’ve gotten them wrong however staff was very friendly to sort problems and they never have receipt paper in the machines but staff are open to printing them at the till

My stomping grounds, i spilt my mccoffee and the staff quickly mccleaned it up.

Served a mouldy bacon roll. Also prices have escalated with little in the way of offers via the App. A convert to Tim Hortons breakfast for £3.79 including a frappe

Would be cool if they had some sort of entertainment on a big screen or something..instead of just seeing animated menus they should put sport or anything on for entertainment instead

I haven't had a Big Mac for such a long time and was really looking forward to it. I'm sad to say it was the worst I've ever had. The chips looked insipid and were warm, the burger, definitely got thinner but also only warm. It certainly wasn't enjoyable. Staff friendly and helpful

Had a coffee takeaway late at night which was burnt. I won't come back. Nice staff who are under pressure in a busy environment but the quality of the machines isn't to standard.

First trip to McDonald's for some time with my grandchildren, big mistake although the service was good the service area was so overcrowded the children where getting stressed we had to take our food upstairs which wasn't easy and where met by crowds of youngsters and parents alike screaming at each other, the food, I use those words loosely ! was cold and tasteless I won't ever be going back

It's a McDonald's never has Milkshake machine working

Went at 10am on a Monday morning, it's quiet until 11am, staff are friendly.

Takes a long time to get a coffee even when it's really quiet.

Despite being very busy and systems playing up the staff were very helpful, especially Aiden he was polite, friendly, helpful and had a smile for all the customers, and we all know what a pain some can be !!!!!

Friendly, table service, good atmosphere, as a McDonald's should be. Even had a cold burger once, so i went to the counter and they gave me a new one, you can add good customer service too.

Very rude staff,one lady in particular at the serving desk was very rude and had no customer service skills what so ever,I know McDonalds dont care but I will not be coming to this store again.

It looks like it has just been refurbished, so it's easy to see that it doesn't get clean , tables ,floors, etc. very dirty Otherwise, normal standards for McDonald's Updating from 4* to 1* food was terrible 😫, cold, and tasteless The time when you used to get a descent burger at a descent price is long gone

Have to be brave to customise your order in any way. 2 out of 3 times it confuses the flip out of them and you end up with just the item you wanted to remove in there! Easily rectified... If you haven't already got it home... Grrr.

My trip to mcdonald's wasn't the best 😕. The most unfortunate thing happend of the milkshake and frappe machine wasn't working so I saved 2 pounds but I was really annoying 😑. As nor only that the receipt you get with the number of your order wasn't working either so my time comes around exactly what I ordered but it was 88 not 89 but I claimed it either way. Order mainly at the self check outs. Fast service even if the queue is sometimes quite big. Lots of sitting areas, however, if it's busy... May find it hard to sit inside.

A typical McDonald's. Large clean space. Unusual in that not loads of screaming families. A large age range probably helped this. Triple cheeseburger was hot and juicy. Another rarity. Obviously, the staff here know how to follow brand instructions. Diet Coke was fizzy and cold. Plenty of seating even though was nice and busy.

Staff is very helpful, food is definitely what you expect at McD, except some broken tablets in kids area everything was good.

Cool place to hung out with your family. Every kid loves McDonald's but this Place is one of a kind. Chelmsford city really loves this Branch of McDonald's. It's always crowded but don't worry. The Staff are very efficient and nice. They also listen when you have any concerns with your food.

Avoid delivery from this restaurant whenever possible. Food is cold by the time it arrives, they forget your (PAID FOR) dips, and destroy their hot drink lids by forcing in a cold drink lid in what appears to be an attempt to reduce spillage. To make matters worse, more often than not, their delivery partner tends to cancel the order at the last minute.

Need to improve on cleanliness specially during peak hours. Not a good sight seeing empty tables with leftovers and fluid spillages.

Quick and efficient. Too many food couriers barging their way to the front. Should give them a side counter out of the way.
