Westbourne Grill House Restaurant in Bournemouth

Great steaks albeit my only complaint would be the thickness of my sons ribeye which was very thin and given he likes his steak rare it was not rare because of how thin it was which was a pity given how good the rest of the food was.

Came here for my mother’s birthday. Fantastic food, good service and the setting is lovely but the drinks are very expensive. (£9 for a pint, £5 for a 330ml coke).

A very enjoyable experience. Good steaks and fine wine and a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were efficient and friendly. In fact it was so good we went back a second time during our short stay in Bournemouth.

Great for going out with friends and family or just your other half. Very friendly staff and amazing food. Even though it was a Saturday night, they mentioned they were busy so had a 2 hour time slot, even though we were finished with plenty of time left they never rushed us out. Will definitely go back when visiting family again

We ate at Westbourne Grill House last night and were extremely impressed with the restaurant... The service was fantastic as was the food . We ordered Chateaubriand and it was amazing, cooked perfectly BUT if we had to pick a fault it would be the chips and onion rings weren't home cooked . If you're in the area it's definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely amazing food, everything cooked to perfection it was superb. The service was excellent too. Thoroughly recommend the Lotus Cheesecake, so save room for it!

Highly recommend! My partner came for a friend’s birthday meal and said it was amazing so we came for dinner couple of weeks later. The food really exceeded my expectations, the meat used is clearly very high quality and the service was impeccable. The set up of the restaurant is lovely too, soft lighting and a really lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be returning.

We’ve dined at the best steakhouses from Argentina to Texas to South Africa and this is seriously up with the best. The Fillet and Cote de Boeuf, cooked to perfection, were full of flavour and the sauces and sides were spot-on, complementing the mains. Local British produce from the New Forest, attentive and welcoming service, in a cosy and busy atmosphere. A gem on the south coast. Book in advance!

Very pretty little restaurant, warm with a great welcoming feeling and nice atmosphere. The stake was superb and perfectly cooked 👍🏻. Probably a bit more vegetables with it would be good for the price. Starters to share were very nicely presented and really tasty. The Portuguese house red wine was very nice too. Overall was a great experience. Everything a bit overpriced for my opinion but that’s ok. Definitely we will be back 👍🏻😊

Wow - time, after time, consistently superb steak - with the best ingredients cooked to perfection. All the food is excellent in this exceptional eatery, and the ethically reared, locally sourced steaks are the best in Bournemouth/Poole/Christchurch - and amongst the best in the U.K. The only issue is trying to choose which steak to order - they are all super-scrummy and come with the right amount of excellent accompaniments including chips, onion rings and balsamic-glazed tomatoes all cooked to perfection. And if you don’t fancy steak, there are plenty of other great options to choose - even vegetarian. All in a comfortable, relaxed, and cosy venue with friendly, efficient and knowledgable service. There is no restaurant in Dorset where I would rather eat. Westbourne Grill is the best.

This was a superb experience from start to finish. A warm greeting, friendly and lovely service by all the ladies who looked after us, and delicious food. Starters were very tasty, then we shared a Cote de Boeuf main, which was excellent. Clearly a high quality ingredient, cooked to perfection, washed-down with a very pleasant Primitivo too. My daughter and her fiancé were on the last night of their holiday with us and so we decided to try this popular restaurant on Saturday night. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is warm and cosy and the service is very efficient. We each had different starters which were all delicious. Always feel welcome with a great atmosphere.The starters and steaks are on another level. Would highly recommend the scallops to start . I love this restaurant, the food is amazing and Lenka and Denzil are amazing hosts. I have tried most things on the menu and you won’t be disappointed. My favourites are the scallops starter and the Cote de beuf, both are stunning.

We visited here for dinner last weekend, having booked in advance (the new normal). It was a good 25 minute walk from our hotel but OMG it was worth it! Gorgeous little restaurant with lovely relaxing and cosy decor. The staff were so polite and appreciative of their customers. I have to eat gluten free food and they couldn't have been more helpful in advising me what i could and couldn't eat. I had a steak which was cooked to perfection and i hate every single bit on my plate. My partner had the whisky chicken and commented that it was the best chicken he has ever had! We both even ended up having a dessert too. The owner took the time to chat with us when we paid the bill, which was lovely. We wish we lived nearer so that we could go back again soon (we were in Bournemouth just for the weekend).

Es una de nuestras cenas favoritas. Estaba cocinado a la perfección con las más increíbles patatas fritas, sabrosas verduras y una deliciosa salsa de queso azul al lado. Teníamos champiñones y gambas para empezar con el pan de ajo más sabroso que hemos probado. Estábamos demasiado llenos para tomar un postre.El servicio era bueno y el personal era encantador y amable, incluso logramos hablar con el chef para felicitarlo por su cocina.Volveremos cuando regresemos a Bournemouth para un descanso.No puedo recomendar lo suficiente.

Lo primero es lo primero, no se deje intimidar por el letrero temporal exterior, la decoración interior es encantadora. Realmente bien hecho crea un ambiente encantador.En la comida, langostinos para empezar, muy frescos, muy sabrosos. Bistec de lomo principal, cocido medio raro super. Las patatas fritas también estaban bien. Gran ambiente, servicio y comida. Visité anoche con mi novia. Lugar encantador, nuestro anfitrión (la señora que creo que es el propietario) fue cálido y muy amable. Ambos tuvimos el filete de lomo, medio raro, estaba cocinado a la perfección y tenía un sabor increíble. A lovely local restaurant wit lots of character and charm. The owner was very friendly and the food was great. We both had sirloin steaks and these were excellent and served with plenty of chips,mushrooms and onion rings. Very generous portions for all 3 courses.

What can I say... this restaurant is perfect! The setting, the staff, the service and the food all were exceptional. This is the best steak by far that i have ever had. The family that own this restaurant really go to a lot of effort for you and really make you feel welcome. As it was for my birthday they even gave me a complimentary desert with sparkles!
