7Bone Burger Co in Bournemouth

My burger isn't worth the £14 that I paid for; too long waiting till the waitress takes my order I spent around 7 mins exploring the menu and no one came to my table although I've already been spotted by the waitress and all other workers in the kitchen. I decided to go to him instead. However, beside this the smashed burger was too salty and too dry. I think the previous experience was respectively better than last night! I thought I'd experience one of the best burgers in town, but, I don't think of coming back to 7 bone burger, TBH. Last point: I've seen one of the staff in the kitchen do not wear any gloves; which can affect the hygiene and food quality.

The food here is lovely and the pricing is good for what you get. Unfortunately the service here isn’t good. We had been left at our table at countless occasions with no one to help. To begin with we didn’t get our starter or our sides until after our mains as well as left without cutlery for most of the meal. We couldn’t see any servers to come and help nor did they come to check if everything was okay. When asking for an to go box, it seemed as if our request was forgotten about for about 5-10mins before someone realised we were waiting. Overall the food is lovely but the service definitely spoiled the afternoon as we felt as if we were forgotten about.

Firstly the food itself was very tasty and they do good burgers albeit it at quite a high price but we knew that having been before. The issue however is the automatic service charge of over 7%. Now, if you get service that is fine but being placed in basement with all the squealing kids and no reception makes ordering via QR code somewhat difficult. Once the order finally got through after standing on the stairs, the food arrived and was great. But there was as I say literally no service just somebody bringing the food and that was it. That does not justify a service charge which was prepaid via the protracted QR code ordering process. It feels slightly like a skam to add 'service charge' in this way. This has put us off frankly.

Tyron was a very friend waiter! We had no problems whatsoever and the food was excellent - it was delivered so quickly. Thank you Tyron!

Had the most amazing burger was so yum. Ty was our sever and was so attentive and looked after us well. 10/10 recommend especially the candle light concert! Such a lovely evening out with friends :)

Ordered on Deliveroo at a lunchtime. Obviously not really the fault of 7Bone I'd assume but you couldn't pick which burger you wanted with the express lunch deal. After placing the order we called and told them which burgers we wanted. Not necessarily the biggest problem but it was annoying. However, when they turned up the patties were the smallest thinnest patties I've ever seen. Literally a slither of beef and unsurprising you could barely taste the meat. When picking burgers for the express lunch they are named exactly the same as the 'normal' burgers and it was not clear what would turn up when ordering the deal was not exactly the same Not sure if this was some sort of mistake but we wouldn't order from here again

Tragically, I've only ever had food delivered from this wonderful place however the burgers are fantastic. I can only imagine how good they are in house. I've tried a few options over time and everything has been perfectly gluttonous and fulfilling. So far my favorite is two smashed patties with bacon and cheese. My god. Superb. Bet burgers around. Also, give the tater tots a try..

Asked for the non-pink option yet burger arrived bright pink. Didn't want to kick up a fuss as with work colleagues but it was an order with no customisation on a quiet Tuesday afternoon, how incompetent/thick do you have to be to get it wrong? Colleagues liked their food but what little I ate, found it only fine. Burgers not on a lunch special seem too expensive; they've all got a hipster names to make it seem like you're paying for something special.

Great food and service, Burgers look a little small but they pack a punch of flavour, nothing stopping you having 2 like I did! 🤪

The burger that I had eaten with great pleasure before was still good. But the mac and cheese or the fries were bad. The airless and unclean place did not appeal to us as before.

Great atmosphere, awesome staff and great food

The food here was good and quickly delivered. The menu was good and looks like a lot of interesting things to come back and try! A little disappointed that the cheesy chips aren't made with cheese its with cheese whizz but each to their own! Service was okay. We only really interacted with staff for them to tell us to order on the site and them making sure we understood how to after a few minutes when we hadn't placed one yet. Would definitely recommend for the food though! There's something for everyone here

Amazing every time. 7 bone are on the more pricey side for burgers but they do offer some of the best burgers around. I don't know what they put in that dirty sauce but it has me addicted... Well worth a visit.

Great burgers and drinks, and the fries were excellent, but the caramel wings were quite disappointing. There was too much breading, and they seemed to have been fried in old oil, as they were very dark and had an unpleasant smell. The cleanliness of the place was acceptable, but there’s room for improvement. As for the service, I ordered through the app on my phone, which the floor manager suggested, so I can’t really comment on the table service. I do recommend coming here for the burgers and fries, though!

Eat here tonight with a few friends. We all ordered a burger and upgraded to a 'meal' with the addition of chips. First thing to say is the burger was really tasty, could have been warmer but overall, very nice. The meal upgrade, I didn't think was a good description when there's enough fries to feed all 4 of us! Point to note, for others. I personally thought the fries were way to salty and so didn't eat more than a handful. Quite disappointing. A few of the guys had a milkshake, which they said were really nice but too big after a burger and chips. Ordering process is all via a QR code, but the menu is there to refer to (which was definitely needed); I didn't really see the point in the QR code, but didn't cause too much of an issue. Easier to pay when you're in a group I guess. Overall, I would go back but would only order a burger and milkshake. No sides for me.

Proper place for burgers and fries!

This place is popular and has peak times very accommodating sit down in US style setting. I got beautiful service from a sweet waitress and the food is filling satisfactory and accommodates non boozers. I had a fab blue cheese grade A beef thing. You can see and smell what's being cooked fortunately. Highly recommended, will go through most of the menu. Sun blinds your eyes in the evening. ...I should add the Donald J Trump doesn't have A-hole in it,

Having come from up north and wanting to try a good burger bar we searched online and found this, thought it was worth a try after seeing good reviews, it didn't disappoint. Nice suprise was making it before 5pm so we got the lunch menu too which for the portion sizes was great value for money. We even got the potato tots and crispy chicken skin to start, all around great, service was great too.

The best burger I have ever had. Literally the best. The buns and the beef were incredibly fresh. I tried the Donnie J Trump and the Triple B, and both were uniquely flavorful. The service was great and welcoming, and the atmosphere was beautiful.

Very good burgers but very little fry’s !

This is my perfect style of burger. It's the right proportion of flavorful meat to warm, buttery bun, a few condiments, and the right level of jalapenos. Hubby thought the meat was on the salty side. The fries are so good. Plain fries are really crispy and have a lovely paprika seasoning on them. The cheese is nacho variety - and done exactly right. This food is the bomb! And service is excellent too. My only small complaint is that the music was a little loud. I could hear the family across from me but not at the end of the table.

We used to be regulars who couldn’t speak highly enough of this place. My partner paid for every special going at the beginning of the year (a promotion where if you got every special and your card stamped, you got free specials there after) Having the card fully stamped, we presented it and were shocked to realise that you had to register by a certain date, after paying a lot of money for the specials, for the promotion to apply. This was not on the card, except for a barely visible line an ant could read saying T&Cs apply. Obviously a sneaky clause to try to catch people out. The Bournemouth staff, who have always been excellent, were very sympathetic and got us in touch with the support team who couldn’t care less and said they wouldn’t add us to the list which was all they needed to do. What a way to treat your most loyal customers! After this experience we haven’t been back and won’t be. Goes to show for all the marketing when it came to caring about customers they don’t give a monkeys.

Can’t believe I’d not been here sooner! A friend and I came in last night upon his recommendation and the atmosphere was so laid back and lovely, and the food blew my mind. Had one of their chicken burgers and it just melts in your mouth, can’t wait to come back!

Dry cured beef was excellent, but I lost some of the joy trying to finish a way too large portion of fries. It seemed that every addition such as sauce, jam etc were charged as additions. This made the meal fairly expensive. More burger and less fries could justify the prices, but otherwise, not for me.

my wife is vegan and gluten sensitive and was told by staff that the the gf bun was vegan. we had to trust this as there was no allergen information available on the site. we had numerous takeaways from them only to be told by the only knowledgeable staff member that the bun contains egg (thirds or fourth time we ordered!) completely unacceptable!

Amazing burgers and fries, tasty milkshake. Well worth a trip for some of the best burgers I've had. Definitely lives up to the hype.

I came here for lunch after seeing good reviews, and it did not disappoint! In particular, the potato tots were amazing, better than the normal fries...perfectly crispy on the outside and soft, delicious potatoes on the inside and with a good amount of dip. The portions are also quite big as well, so if you're not a big eater, one side may be enough between 2. For my main, I had the robert johnston burger, which was one of the best burgers I've had. The burger was cooked medium rare, slightly pink in the middle, and the truffle mushroom mayo complimented it very well. My partner had the donnie j trump burger, which was also good with deep-fried cheese inside but I felt like it might've been a bit too heavy for me to have the full burger with it. The service was quick and efficient with an option to order online via a QR code menu. I was only in Bournemouth for a weekend but I realised that this restaurant is a chain so if I come across this restaurant again, I would certainly be interested in going and I would highly recommend to others as well.

Great atmosphere! We were welcomed warmly and the manager John looked after me and my friend spectacularly explaining the menu to us and making sure we were comfortable when sat down. Would definitely recommend hope to come again soon:)

It's not really my 'thing' to write a negative review and i wasn't going to but I feel like it's needed here. Me and my partner came to 7bone at the weekend for dinner and to be fair, the food was great. My burger was lovely and my partner had a sandwich which she devoured, But our waiter on the other hand was not so great. I can only assume he was the manager based on the way he spoke to/about the chefs in the kitchen (it's not hard to hear as the kitchen is smack bang in the middle of the place). Also, I may be very wrong here but when he was speaking to us at our table, he seemed pretty drunk? I'm all for having fun at work, I used to work in hospitality too when I was younger so I don't wanna sound like a total d*ck. However, if you're going to drink at work make sure not to appear drunk. it's fair to say It pretty much ruined our entire experience. Our waiter was a nice bloke don't get me wrong but on the way out he stopped us in our tracks and decided it would be okay to tell us an extremely inappropriate joke and we didn't really know how to react. I'm not sure if this guy expected me to erupt into laughter over a joke about covid but i can assure you i did not crack a smile. it was actually fairly awkward and we left confused and both agreed we aren't coming back which is a shame because we liked the food. During our evening we overheard him telling a few more "jokes" to staff and other tables, one being casually racist so actually now I think about it, i'm not shocked about the "joke" he told us at all. The guy loves to shout let's just say that. Overall it sucked and the exit made it totally suck. After reading your previous reviews I'm sure I'll get a response saying you spoke to him and this never happened and i'm being dishonest etc. So in retrospect this review it totally pointless. Ha!

We come here rather regularly and are generally greeted by a lovely lady, always the same as we always come on a Wednesday or Thursday. And the place is always pack, but service is always spot on. Unfortunately today was very very different, we walked in and were barely greeted, also the place was empty, we were the only people in the restaurant. The guy just told us to sit down and order from the QR code, I didn’t even have a second to say can he come take our order as I struggle with all that. We sat ourselves down and looked through the menus and the server is over the other side of the restaurant cleaning a fridge, and totally ignoring us, in this time he walked around and I continued to try get his attention with no luck, I put my hands up, I spoke and he even made eye contact on numerous occasions but just totally ignored me. I also noticed the chef scratching his back with one of the knives. At that point (about 15 mins later) we decided to leave and he asked if we are okay, and just smirked when I said we feel we have been ignored and he just replied okay. So we ended up going to Wagamamas instead, another fave of ours. Since it’s my husbands birthday and this was just a small treat before we go away it’s very disappointing and we were such regulars and it’s one of our favourites, but after all that I don’t think we will be back. Both my husband and I are in the hospitality industry and have been our whole lives, we totally understand on quiet days you clean, but guests should also be a priority. And too see a chef scratch his back with his knife made us feel physically sick. I’ve never in my life felt the need to walk out of somewhere. Disgusting service and behaviour is a huge understatement

Milkshake was excellent, burger (prince charles is overrated) felt a bit bland and insubstantial. Chips good and portion sizeable.

What a great place! Will definately visit again. Emily was wonderful to chat with and very observative. The food was well put together- I'll make sure to try something else the next time to see how those flavour combinations work together.

probably one of the best burgers I've had eating outside, although the sides were saltier than they had to be. prices were reasonable, the decor was funny and the restroom was clean

Friendly, relaxed location. Good customer service. I would describe it as upmarket fast food. The milkshake was good, unique fries options and all well-presented but sadly the burgers were just “okay” mostly due to quality of the meat and bun. No salad in the burgers either so you need to order something with fillings or it is plain.

We ate here whilst on holiday. I remember it being much better. But that might be down to me since having some of the best smashed burgers in the country. It was decent, but have had better for the price. Staff were great.

Stop reading my review & place your order! This place is amaze-ballls! I have lived in the UK for 5 years & eaten at a lot of “American” style burgers & this is hands down the BEST! Not only was this the closest to home I have ever had, but it goes in the top 3 patty melts I’ve ever eaten! Top notch customer service as well! I gave them a call to ask about a menu item & they were quick to answer the phone helpful! (Can’t rate the atmosphere because we had delivery)

One of my favourite restaurants in Bournemouth!! Staff are always so lovely and food incredible. My personal reccs are the poutine and the dreadlocks rasta. This specific occasion we were served by Ty and Harry, who were super friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommend anyone come!

I recently ordered the beef poutine from 7Bone, and to my surprise, there was literally no beef in it. It felt like a major letdown, especially since that's the main component. As for the cheesy chips, they were even worse—barely any cheese and what was there came in unappetizing lumps. The food was a complete waste of money. To top it off, the restaurant itself isn't appealing, though I will say the worker who helped us was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, that’s not enough to make up for the poor food quality. I don't recommend this place at all.

Click and collect customer. Ready on time, quick and easy process. First time having this, and I was impressed. The food was delightful, well cooked and warm even after a 15 min drive home. The boxes that the food is packaged in are genius! My only complaint about the restaurant itself is it's a bit dark and dingy (limited lighting), but that could be a choice based on the vibe, so I do not let this affect the review.

To me this is one of the burgers and chips I ever had in my life. Congrats to everyone!

We went there on the 26.07.2024 on Friday afternoon, the blonde lady who was taking the orders, the lady has a attitude problem, she was pouting at all time when taking the orders, bringing the food to the table everything, if she is having a bad day for some reason its better not to work

A bad joke. Sitting alone in the cellar, online ordering took long. The burger was mini, tasted cheap.

Everything is just really good here! The burger is fresh and can be made Medium. The most Burgers here in Bournemouth have not a good quality. A Trick is always to ask, if they can make the burger Medium. If they say no, you know, that the meat is not a good quality. But in this Burger Restaurant - they can do it Medium. And they have also really good smashburgers! I can highly reccomend this place!

We've been in 7bone several times, and have order a few times as well. This place is honestly one of the best places for burgers in Bournemouth. The place itself, and the atmosphere is very unique which makes the place even more enjoyable to eat at. The staff are lovely and a good laugh. The price of the food it's a little bit pricey, but believe me it's worth it. I would 100% recommend the Winner Winner chicken burger, for any chicken burger lovers out there, as well as the Ronald's revenge for any beef burger lovers. They also have a variety of drink options, but if anyone likes milkshakes, this is the place to go. Would 100% recommend!

7 Bone does good food, quickly. After a few visits they have always served up tasty food. It is sometimes difficult to get the staff's attention and the order at the table app has never worked for us. We always end up having to place our order with a member of staff. The menu is great, they take fast card payments and there is always a good atmosphere.

The most delicious burger I have tasted 👍🏻👍🏻 and the fries are enough for two people. You will be confused about the menu 😂 Ask for help 😂😂

Just walked back from a meal here and only have amazing things to say! The food was fantastic and unpretentious; the burger was cooked to perfection and the sprinkling of wotsits on the top was delicious. For £11, I thought this was outstanding value. The fries were HUGE (you can def share these) so for a burger and chips you’re looking at £13-£14 pp. Excellent 👌🏼 The atmosphere was super relaxed and chilled, too. I didn’t feel awkward being sat on my own. My waitress, Lorea, was a sweetheart; so helpful and patient with helping me choose on the menu and checking in to see everything was okay (I also noticed her help a woman leave the restaurant who was struggling with the door and pram). Not only that, but when I walked back to my hotel and realised I hadn’t kept my receipt (for work expenses), she very kindly took my number and sent them across. What a legend! My ONLY critique? I wish they allowed dogs so I could return with my pooch :(
