Buffalo has been a huge part of my uni experience loved every single night the atmosphere is just amazing. U get the best of both worlds on Friday if u want to sit down and drink or come for a lil boogie Dj Buck will be there to entertain us

This is my favourite bar in Bournemouth. Full of students and some interesting shots on offer. Very cheap doubles on student nights. Local students on the pool table. Would recommend having them a match if you fancy yourself.

Please, do not go to this bar. I was severely assaulted and verbally abused by 2 of the staff members. I was then thrown to the ground, stomped on (multiple time) and had my head slammed into the wooden decking by 2 of the staff members. My nose is now broken and my head, face, chest and knees are all severely bruised. Not only this but instead of trying to help me calm down, they verbally abused me, speaking down on my late father and my mental health. I will be speaking to a solicitor.

Rapidly gone downhill Barely sell any drinks - no cocktails which was literally the main seller of even coming here. Empty all tve time now. Waste of what was a good bar.

Just popped in on my way home from work for a pint and the very informative bar staff offered me a look at the new menu. Slimmed down from the last but full of absolute bangers. I had the basket with a McDaddy, fries and onion rings great quality of produce used as ingredients and cooking was on point. I will definitely be back to try more of the new menu

When this bar was in its previous location there was something exceptional about it. Fabulous, welcoming, knowledgeable staff with a better than average selection of beers and spirits. It was my bar of choice in Bournemouth to the point that I would go out of my way to stop off and spend a little time there that often turned into an epic session. I have not been to Bournemouth in some time and found that they had moved to new larger premises. Goody I thought. More of the same! Unfortunately not. It has lost the entirety of its character and has become a pastiche of its former self. Like some wetherspoons in a cowboy hat and naff boots. The spirits on offer cheap and nasty, the beer on offer sadly uncurated and again, cheap. Even the mixers were cheap and nasty. Wth happened? To say I was disappointed is an understatement, I was verging on annoyed and left as soon as I could. It isn't hard to stock decent stuff. Suppliers and reps go out of their way to ensure you have a unique offering in an overstuffed market. Every American bar, and I mean EVERY bar, should have at least three tequilas and at least 3 bourbons (and I don't mean tennessee honey JD). Sack the manager and/or make an effort to create a proper venue and lose the ghastly kitsch dust gathering wall rubbish.

GREAT Pub. Woody Organic slightly left of centre. It's an UGLY PUB. Just like me, natural feel. Needs a better SINGLE MALT WHISKY selection. It's slightly majestic status reveals a sense of festering decay under the over all acceptance of its customers. Entropic facia, like a cold basement forgotten in the aftermath of apocalyptic degeneration. Could be a future haven for mutating misfits and preachers who have lost thier faith. Should welcome more decrepit older folks and maybe have a JAZZ evening, but being an overly enthusiastic METAL HEAD it's a good place to disappear into oblivious infinity forr few houses a week while watching the world burn and time disolve into its natural abstract fusion of INTERDIMESIONAL STATIC. Well HERE'S TO SWIMMING WITH BOA LEGGED WOMEN. The Devils in the Detail. GET ME!

What a rare gem of an establishment! Super friendly atmosphere, great jukebox and very entertaining open mic night. Bar staff are incredibly friendly. The only thing that ket it down was a rather mediocre selection of craft beer - however there are okenty of other options available. I didn't order any food

Enjoyed a chicken burger with pulled pork.

Food is normal very good, came here for buy a burger get another one for £1 as advertised on the website. I was then told that it had been changed to Sunday night instead of Monday night despite it still being advertised as Monday night on the website. I spoke to the staff and they were not prepared to honour the deal or cancel the order as it had already been placed.

Five stars based on customer service. Bar staff are excellent, very friendly and efficient. Was always served promptly. Lads on the door were spot on too, had a decent chat with them. Toilets aren't like visiting hell which was nice!! All round a decent place to go.

This pub moved a year or 2 ago to corner of Wimborne Rd & Alma Rd. Lively student pub quite busy for a Tuesday evening. Went with a mate for a catch up & bite to eat. Menu is burgers, hot dogs etc. We both had the Meatallica burger which inc burger, chicken, bacon, hash browns, cheese etc. Burger was big and very tasty bit expensive for a students pub at £12.95 with no chips.

I like this place however, for the past 3 visits at completely different days and times, the kitchen appears always closed which considering the title, seems ironic. Friendly staff, standard beers and prices, the same as anywhere else except no food apparently. Time to get a new kitchen staff with a better immune system I think!! Ok, additional review on 20/07/2022 - just ordered a pint of Guinness black and a pint of Corona, BOTH had the most vile chemical aftertaste. Discussed with staff whom couldn't taste the difference, walked down the road to the local weather spoons of all places, ordered the same drinks and they taste as suspected. Furthermore, the kitchen was shut and the place was pretty empty. IMO, avoid with a wide berth

It was quite good hangout place ,but wasn't able to provide seating for weekend crowd that's the reason we walked of too early from the place ,anyways apart from that the best place for students to hangout in safety no drama just fun and booze. And the waiters are very responsive they even try meet every customer with all the business ñot so easy and thanks for the blonde lady who served us I don't know her name but appreciate it.

The best food atmosphere and drink in all of Winton and surrounding areas

Nice to enjoy live music even in a pub. I had an IPA which was okay. Probably best to stick to the bar staff s recommended ones in future. There's a pool table and toilets are upstairs.

A large student/rock bar. Fast service, reasonable prices, relaxed environment. Great decor.

Student pub. Decor is North American hunting lodge with animal sculls and snake skin. Has a pool table. Prices are similar to surrounding pubs.

Plesant place, with good service and Speckled Hen on keg (would have preffered it less than tonsil freezing and from hand pump) bet it gets busy and noisy at night

A real trendy bar to amaze friends and family by the decor alone but the overbearing amount of I presume to be students mixed with a lack of indoor seating areas proved to be a challenge. Since seats were scarse me and my friends got comfy standing at the bar as our best solution but were told to move to the end of the bar despite the entire bar was a service area and other groups blatantly standing where we were. The young bar team seem to have a great morale among them and it's always a good sign to see this behind the bar even more so when the venue is busy. The prices of drinks are fair and don't starve the wallet by any means however I was a little disheartened to know there were no deals of the like for bombs or shots during the (Friday evening) time me and my friends visited. I would be more than happy to visit again soon to try the food!

As someone who doesn’t regularly go out I found this place absolutely horrible. Staff were rude. And I was kicked out for something two people I barely knew did. I would not recommend and I will never be going there again.

Had drink taken after paying for it and leaving it alone for about 5 minutes while outside in smoking area. Bad service and they wouldn't replace it. Wasn't at all busy. Terrible dull atmosphere. Most likely won't be back.

Business meeting over an evening meal. Nice decor, although its a little dark. Good portion sizes and burgers were good although nothing exciting.

2 barmen, one great, one hopeless-wanders off from behind bar when there's a queue of people waiting to be served.

Very delicious chicken wraps. They have two different ones and we each ordered one and shared them to try both. I really recommend the chicken wrap with the “dirty sauce”. It was definitely my favourite. The portions were good. I even left fries because I was full already.

Friendly staff and a good selection of spirits and drinks. The food was lovely (i had the fancier mac and cheese with truffle oil) was so nice and a massive portion, even my partner couldn't finish what I'd not managed! Definitely worth a try.

Had a good few experiences, some of the food definitely needs some work, the hotdogs aren’t all that but the wings, burgers and sides are of very good quality (having said that, I had their buffalo wings and honestly feel like I’ve spent the night with Satan after going to the loo) You cannot beat the atmosphere, friendly unique staff and the drinks prices/range in all of Bournemouth, definitely one for the students and one of the top places you can go for a few.

Probably the most unwelcoming staff I’ve ever experienced. Tried many times to get in, but always been met with snarky remarks of how theres no room, or its gonna be a “3 hour wait”. When realistically, its because we’re a group of four lads, who threaten their fragile masculinity. Their staff all love sitting down and chatting to girls despite their clear lack of interest and obvious uncomfortable expressions. Also making their “strict” COVID regulations comical. So yeah, if you’re a girl and you want some middle aged, nonce, hillbilly mf, sitting down and attempting to flirt with you, then look no further. Not tried the food, but even if I wanted to I’m sure they’d tell me the kitchen is closed, whilst the person next to me receives their food. Would give it 0/5 but Google doesn’t let you do that.

Good bar overall. Music is great and they have a wide enough selection of drinks. When they have the pool table available it adds to the atmosphere too. Prices are not great but not the worst, and staff are pretty good.

Not quite as good in its heyday when Tom was in charge but excellent meal and quite reasonable

Had some time to kill so went into the Buffalo for a cold one. Nice and easy track and trace form - just your name and your contact phone number. Easy table service and you can sit at the bar table and order as usual without the hassle of needing any app. During covid times it wasn't real busy like the local Wetherspoons at Parkstone and Heatherlands can be so much safer and quieter if you'd prefer that has a Poole table and an soothing soundtrack of popular classics and new pop music. Friendly service and better than most toilet cleanliness. Night time is busier and prices are ok and they serve fresh food including stone baked oven pizzas.

They had poor customer service, they swore at my mate for no reason they picked a fight.

We were ignored multiple times when requesting to be served. My friend was then yelled at and called abusive names after they advised him he could bring a chair in. Terrible customer service and wouldn't recommend to anyone

Honestly the worst food I have ever eaten in my life, visited on 26/09/2020 for my birthday and ordered a platter mainly for the wings which were absolutely awful, I don’t even know how the kitchen staff let fried chicken bones leave the kitchen. Absolutely appalling. To top it off staff were rude, up themselves and seemed annoyed to even serve you, Do NOT visit here unless you intend to drink to the point you don’t remember being there.
