I had tried this cafe about 18 months or so and it wasn’t up to its best so when a family member suggested here again I was a little bit worried but OMG, I take it that it must of changed hands. Fantastic breakfast with quality sausage and bacon, lovely think brown bread for toast. Polite staff, in fact I can’t say anything bad, well done, keep it up, I will be returning and I have already told people how good you are. X

Stopped by for lunch on the recommendation of a colleague. First impression was a bit 'meh', fairly plain and dull décor - not shabby, just dull. The ladies working that day were very welcoming though which is always nice. Tried the large breakfast with extras, very tasty indeed. The coffee was hot, wet and strong, which I like. Price was a little more than I had expected, probably due to the extras I added, but I enjoyed the food.

Breakfast was very good (we had the large breakfast) and it was good value for money. Coffee was a bit average though so not giving a higher mark because of this

The service was lack lustre and the decor and atmosphere was bland. Food was nice! It’s a real shame as this place has so much potential!

We chose a small all day breakfast which certainly didn't disappoint! Granary toast, with Treagust sausages, meaty bacon, grilled tomato, mushroom & baked beans and a fried egg ... all under £7.00 wow!!! The food was freshly cooked, very hot, non-greasy and beats many 5* hotel buffet breakfasts for twice the price without a doubt! Menus also included jacket potatoes, sandwiches, salads & other lovely delights. We will most certainly be back and felt this can be added to The Bluebell in Emsworth, JJ's in Emsworth, Petit Pain for great takeaway food as our list of reliable go-to places to eat ... Westbourne Bakery supplied the bread and was gorgeous as always!

Westbourne Cafe is an excellent place to have a good meal, either a breakfast, or a lunch time meal. They do a weekly late night opening on a Friday evening. at present they have a limited number of tables available as well as a takeaway service. The food quality is excellent as are the staff. Can only recommend this venue very much to everyone..

We have been very nervous about eating out and so this was our first experience. The cafe is well organised, regarding Covid-19 measures. There is an entrance and an exit, there is hand sanitiser which we were asked to use, we had to leave our name and phone number for coronavirus tracking, and the tables were well spaced out. It cannot have been easy for these small businesses to survive so we were impressed with the way they have responded to the new rules. Our breakfasts were delicious, hot and freshly cooked with great ingredients. I had the big breakfast which came with 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, mushrooms, half a tomato, beans and 2 slices of lovely Westbourne Bakery toast. My husband had scrambled eggs on toast and it was a good portion. We also had tea and coffee. It was a lovely meal and the staff are very friendly and courteous. We wish them luck as they continue to weather the storm.

Heading to Westbourne for an appointment we stumbled upon Westbourne Cafe. We decided to have breakfast (McDonalds Hedge End had a massive queue & I am so glad it did). The staff have reduced the number of tables in the restaurant, have provided hand sanitiser, have a track and trace book and are disinfecting tables and chairs after customers have left. This gave a good level of confidence. Now onto the food. We ordered two large vegetarian breakfasts (2 veggie sausages, 2 eggs, 2 hash browns, mushrooms, beans, gilled tomato & two toast) & a small breakfast (1 egg, 1 bacon, 1 amazing sausage, gilled tomato, beans, mushrooms & two toast), 2 cups of tea & one hot chocolate ladened with cream & marshmellows. The food was pretty quick and just delicious. The best breakfast I have had in a long time. Total cost £27. The cafe was spotless, the staff lovely and we would become regulars if we didn't live in Southampton. Definately worth a visit for breakfast (they had some nice looking cakes too).

Walked to Westbourne and then had the most delicious breakfast. Scrambled eggs were light and fluffy and both the large and small cooked breakfasts were apparently wonderful.

This cafe is about a 10 minute drive from us, we decided to try it, as it was pouring with raine and neither my wife or I wanted to cook, and it had also appeared on her Facebook.Found a parking space outside, and from the moment I walked in through the door, I was made to feel welcome. Orders for coffee taken, the usual questions about changing items on the menu and did they do fried bread Not on the menu but they said yes) we sat waiting for our food. The two young ladies in the kitchen, iin matching blue chefs jackets were a joy to watch. Quite young but very professional. They had obviously been well trained. They were quick, efficient and always cleaning down. When our food came out it looked great, local butchers sausages, and 2 slices (cut from a crusty loaf) of the nicest, golden, crisp fried bread that I have had in a very long time. In truth it is one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time.Food gone, coffee gone, a nice, ice cold orange juice to finish with, a geat start to a washout of a day.Good food, well presented, good service, reasonable cost, what more could you want.We will definitely be going back.

A seamless , friendly and welcoming experience for a relaxed breakfast... Upon arrival I was greeted with smiles and a warm welcome by all cafe staff. After choosing my own table, I was approached for a drinks order and left to peruse the menu. As the coffee arrived, I was able to place my order, which considering it was cooked to order, was very timely, hot and well cooked. The clean, airy feel to this cafe with enough space between tables to avoid that "cramped" feeling (and get a wheelchair or buggy through) was inviting and there are lots of different table sizes depending on your group - a large farmhouse style table with 7/8 chairs is available near the window, whilst smaller traditional two/ four seaters are dotted around the space. All tables and chairs are wooden and it has a modern, yet country feel about it.The food was plentiful, well cooked and seasoned using local produce (including local butchers sausages and the village bakery bread). The prices were good value for quality local produce... At time of writing a large breakfast (2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, mushrooms, beans, tomato with 2 pieces of toast) is £6.95. You can choose how to have your eggs cooked and which bread. The menu is typical for a small cafe, breakfasts, light bites and lunches, cakes and drinks, but I feel more than required for a quiet, local village cafe. The overall experience was perfect, I was left in peace to read my book with a coffee, absorbing the quiet lull of locals chatting with the staff. You have free access to the days papers or can sit and watch the world go by.Overall a wonderful experience. Thanks Westbourne Cafe.

A friendly little cafe with several regulars who make a visitor feel welcome. A popular meeting point for locals but offering good food in pleasant surroundings. Join the banter or read the supplied newspapers as you enjoy good food at a fair price.Highly recommended for a quick cuppa or a daily roast.

Recommended by a friend so thought we would try it. Nice cafe, simply but nicely decorated. A genuine, friendly welcome. Plenty to choose from on the menu. Food arrived in a timely manner, well presented, nicely cooked and a good sized portions. Would have followed with cakes but too full. Excellent value for money. We will deinitely visit again, especially for the full English breakfast - available all day. Note - currently, it is cash only but there is a machine across the road at the local Coop.

Me and a few friends decided to try the Westbourne Cafe this morning as we had never been in there before. Beautiful cafe, very clean, lots of tables and chairs and friendly helpful staff. We sat down and ordered some drinks - Latte , tea and coffee. Simple, fast service and what we needed. We also ordered sausage and egg bap and sausage egg and bacon bap. Very tasty, perfection! A really nice cafe with a lovely atmosphere. Look forward to coming again. Also they have lots going on in the week with Tuesday night supper club and roast lunch every Wednesday so check out the picshopefully I'll try them soon and the brownies

Booked our table for 2 online. This was quick and easy to do. We were welcomed and quickly shown to our table. We both had Beef Bourginon as we've eaten here before and it was delicious last time. It didn't disappoint. Although the place was packed to capacity service was still very good. We'll done again Café Rouge.

A long overdue revisit. Firstly I love the location. The welcome is great, but best of all is the food and drink – turns it into a wonderful place to be. The toasted sandwiches are labelled by cyclists - I had the Wiggo – kale, pesto, cheddar and onion chutney. Delicious! And the coffee was superb. Another part of the attraction is that I am really looking forward to being there again!

A very interesting cafe tucked away down a side passage to this whole food shop. Greeted by the aroma of tasty smells. Ideal for a coffee stop. There were many books and newspapers to keep one amused. There was a selection of healthy foods on offer but essentially I visited with a friend for coffee. No background music which is good as we had a good uninterrupted conversatiin.

Came here as we were staying in our campsite up the road. I had a high 5 smoothie and a breakfast burrito both days as the first one was so very good -super hot and Delicious-def would go back again and recommend and they allow dogs in too. My partner had the small breakfast and a latte -he said was great as he also had it the 2nd day 😁
