We’ve been using this cafe for years we went in today, they usually get my husband a chair with arms from outside but today we were told the chef Nick said to the girls in no circumstances were they to get him a chair. I am appalled to think that he had denied a disabled man access to a chair with arms. There is no way we will be able to go there anymore. I have to say Carol and her girls were marvellous and we had a lovely lunch which is probably our last, which is a shame, we’ve been going there a couple of times a week with no trouble ,but for one person we would still be able to go.

We came here for two reasons - to find a shrub and to have lunch! There is such a choice of plants and shrubs, all well cared for, and good advice from staff. Secondly, we had a lovely lunch, good food, good value, good service. It is not the first time we have been here, and the staff are always on top of their game.

Visited the Cafe today for a Christmas lunch with my family - the food was delicious! A fab veggie option with a really good selection of vegetables and the meat eaters loved theirs too! The homemade ice cream pots for desert were amazing - so nice to have something different and so tasty too. We also had crackers on the table which was lovely touch. Would highly recommend. Lots of others around also enjoying Christmas lunches, so was a really great atmosphere - thank you!!!

Today we gathered for a family Christmas Lunch down at the Garden Centre. We were greeted by very festive and pleasant staff who were very efficient in taking our orders. We didn’t have to wait long before our delicious food arrived, which was the perfect amount leaving me full to the brim! Will definitely be coming back!

Had a panini with a bit of bacon and a little bit of Brie no filling to speak of bacon was very salty won’t be back . Two stars was only for the lady’s working

Massive disappointment today popped in for breakfast only to be told no poached eggs with a breakfast so didn’t order anything and will go elsewhere in the future ! Such a shame as staff lovely clean and tidy everywhere but hey ho.

Came in to the garden centre cafe this coronation weekend and had a wonderful experience. Lovely food which was very tasty, also with friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend to anyone in the area, a calm and lovely place to visit - a hidden gem :)

You have heard of Karen’s Diner right? Well this place is the real life Karen’s diner! We arrived to a dirty table with food on the floor right where our feet are. We asked for a brush to sweep it up. We were answered with “No you can’t. You can have napkins to put on top of it and then put your feet on top on them. Don’t wipe it up!” Great start right?! It gets better. after ordering, glasses were brought to the table for our diet cokes…….wine glasses. We were told that had run out of clean ones so you will have to have these. We waited 40 minutes for the first couples food to arrive. The second couple’s food arrived a further fifteen minutes after that. No apology. I would have minded so much had it been worth the wait but £7.50 for a panini that tastes like cardboard with barely any filling quite literally left a nasty taste in my mouth. And the grand finale came when two staff members were hanging over a freezer which was directly behind one of our seats where they discussed flavours and stock - whilst we tried to enjoy our excuse of a meal. In conclusion if you want to pay ALOT of money for awful food, receive the WORST customer service and press your luck at eating from a dirty table then this is your place!

Nice warm friendly atmosphere in this cafe. I had a vegetarian breakfast which was delicious. Decor is a bit sparse but atmosphere and food quality mean I felt I should give it a 5 still :) The Christmas lunch offer in the photo, looks really great.

Called in on a Saturday morning to pick up a National Garden Centre gift voucher and both had a great breakfast. Would definitely recommend

Went with my family today the garden centre is beautiful outstandingly Clean well stocked well organized. Makes you want to make your garden as lovely as you can weather it's seating plants water feature ornaments. There restaurant is stunning had the most beautifully presented roast dinner good quality great amount can not fault it I highly recommend for a midweek roast treat. Also the Victoria sponge is to die for so light was fantastic thank you for making it so wonderful 😊

I have just been into the Minehead Garden Centre for Christmas lunch and it was really very nice, proper turkey with lots of roast potatoes, lots of veg and very well cooked, and nice and hot. I didn't have a desert, but they looked lovely and according to my friends tasted beautiful. Booking is essential. highly recommended.

I went there for a birthday lunch with friends who go there often and had a delicious avacado, brie and cranbery baquette and a latte coffee. My friends had a full gardeners breakfast, another plaice and chips, another home made quiche and salad, and home made soup. The staff are always friendly, polite and helpful. They really looked after us and have excellent support for disabled people and wheelchair acces. They are diligent with their COVID precautions which made us feel confidant and safe.

We stopped here for a drink and snack and found the tea room facilities very covid secure. They have an excellent system in place to show a sanitised table. The cheese scone and bread pudding was very nice. Good selection of items in the garden centre.

My Husband and I visited here on Tuesday lunch time. My Husband enjoyed a tuna and mayonnaise granary roll and I opted for a piece of lemon cake which was a little bit dry, so I was disappointed. It was clean, with good procedures due to Covid, so we felt safe. We often drop in here for a tea before going to our holiday destination. It is within the garden centre so it was nice to enjoy a little browse afterwards.

Superb Covid arrangements Shame only 1 toilet open so bit of a wait. Options limited now you can’t choose a breakfast just have to have what your given. I can’t see why this is restricted really very strange. Prices are expensive for drinks but breakfast is ok The food was ok didn’t feel fresh for some reason . Got cold quickly as now all the seating in the colder areas not inside. Won’t be rushing back which is a shame as prior to covid it was excellent Staff seem stressed too

Staff friendly, decent enough selection in cafe. Advertised as eat out to help out but limited selection on offer and on different days too at £5 each, no discount on drinks, not quite what the chancellor had in mind guys hence why only two stars.

I visited the cafe recently with my partner for a quick breakfast before work. Both of us had a breakfast deal which was half price given the current eat out scheme and it was great value for money - a huge breakfast and a drink included! We felt so safe knowing that the tables had been sanitised before and after our visit and the food and drink was delivered at a distance. I can’t wait to go back - such friendly staff too :)

We were a party of 3, one had the bubble and squeak which had sprouts in it. She paid the price with diarrhoea within an hour after which lasted for 2 days. Contacted the restaurant who denied it was anything to do with them and weren't interested. Have had no problems on previous occasions but just be careful what you order!

There is a good selection of drinks and home made food . The only down side is that it does take too long to be served .

Not a great experience, very simple order paid for two coffees and two flapjacks. Cafe had about 6 customers seated, there were about five staff in the kitchen in full view and they didn't seem very productive (I watched while we waited), after 15 mins had to go back to counter to ask what's happening and was told the fuse had blown on coffee machine. Okay, so that could happen anywhere but surely they should have let us know there was a problem or even just brought over the cakes while things were getting sorted? Asked for a refund and left, went to Morrisons over the road instead. Seems like a family run establishment that needs to get better customer service training. Shame, could be so much better.

Visited this morning, had coffee which was very good. Had sausage bap which was deep fried, not sure why as there was a griddle, sausages were disgusting very cheap quality, if you are going to charge £4.95 for a sausage bap, then please upgrade the quality of the sausages and offer a white or brown bap, and please cook them properly, they really were awful.

What a treat today to pop into the garden centre. Got my seeds for wild flowers. Then had lunch. Gorgeous homemade quiche lots of variety to choose from with salad and chips. Yummy. Highly recommended

Enjoy a meal and a drink in a lovely newly decorated cafe. The cakes are amazing as is the hot chocolate. My daughter and I often pop down for a drink and a cake as we love the staff.

Just had to write a review after several visits recently. This is such a hidden gem, in a lovely garden centre. Food is faultless and staff so friendly. Porridge today best I’ve had in years.

On a nice day I always head to the garden centre so I can sit out in the lovely setting they have provided. Good quality , home - cooked food at good prices - but make sure you have lots of time to spare as when busy you have to wait a bit!

Very wide selection of plants and garden accessories and the Cafe provides tasty meals and snacks all year round

I go with a friend every Thursday for coffee and cake. Always perfect coffee, delicious cakes, scones and toasted teacake. The breakfasts are superb and very good value. The staff are all delightful - friendly and smiling and always ready to oblige. Love it.

Popped into this brilliant garden centre today and after selecting my plants went to the cafe for lunch . It was a gorgeous day so set in the garden space and waited for our lunch. There was a long wait of half an hour but it was worth it. Delicious food freshly cooked to order so waiting in the sunshine was fine .

Staff always polite and cheerful, excellent food, very clean, well done, whole Garden Centre is a delight to shop in with great range of plants and helpful staff not pushy

Perfectly cooked food, friendly staff, comfortable seating. I had the Cheese and Tomato Quiche special and it was one of the best quiches I have had.

Brie and cranberry my favourite but not here the brie smelt of sick it was disgusting my mum could smell it from a gross the table this place used to be good but won't eat in there again

Fuimos a este restaurante y la recepción cálida y amable. Tuvimos un almuerzo ligero que disfrutamos tanto que volver dentro de una semana. El personal era amable y muy servicial con todo el mundo. La comida estaba caliente y bien presentada.

Utilizada para encanta ir aquí para desayunar, pero Dios mío dónde está el buen cocinero desaparecido? Utilizamos para conseguir un buen servicio, tuberías presentación caliente comida, esperamos 35 minutos para desayunar, tomates, huevos frilly quemada y un montón de grasa, no es la primera vez tampoco últimamente, trae su cocinero echamos de ella! Debo decir que aunque el personal de la casa bonita, por desgracia para ellos pasaron su tiempo pedir perdón para el cocinero!

Este es un lugar pequeño y encantador escondido detrás de todos los demás tipos de enchufes y un gran hallazgo. El personal era excelente y la comida buena.

Christmas Lunch enjoyed by us on Sunday - nicely cooked and great value, choice of one or two courses. Other options available. Friendly efficient staff - venue could be warmer though! Book to reserve a table because it is busy or risk queuing.

Lovely people home made food like your mum made, plenty of choice and the puddings are yummy nice to sit outside on the sofas

Food is cooked to order and is excellent value for money with quick service. Seems to have regular lunchtime customers of a certain age, particularly on Fridays, but beware of sitting at what they regard as "their" table.Don't make the mistake of trying to order on or after 2pm, they close promptly, and their clock always seems to run a little fast!. Overall the food is worth getting there for before 2 pm.

A warm and friendly cafe style place, with good breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas. All home cooked, great rock cakes and sponges.

After enjoying the excellent trip on the West Somerset Railway (pulled by a STEAM locomotive!), complete the experience by eating the first class food at this establishment!

I went here a couple of weeks ago on a family day out and had a very good time, the price was very reasonable and the meals we ordered were cooked to perfection. The staff are all very friendly and there was a happy atmosphere throughout the café. I would very much recommend this café to anyone!

Quite shocked at prices charged here- particularly for drinks. Also think the price should be clearly shown. Would not bother returning again. Sad, because sitting outside in pleasant weather is lovely.

We went here for lunch yesterday, there were a few people already sat eating. £12 for two of us to have a sandwich and a cold drink. Not cheap but the food tasted ok. Would go again while shopping, but not out of my way to go just for the cafe.

the cafe is very good but charge to much i will not be eating there again the food was well cooked but drinks were very pricey maybe its becuase they have a captive customer in a garden centre but i would not go there just for a meal

I tend to pop into the garden centre when in Minehead, leaving aside the food the plants are always top notch and the staff have so much knowledge!If I need a bit to eat it's always a pleasure to eat here - not too pricey unlike the major chain garden centres and always tasty and home cooked.

The garden centre is a lovely place to browse. The restaurant is very good. Yes you order your food at the desk, but it is hardly self service. White bread only! I think not. It is very hard to please some people sometimes. The staff will bring your meal to you if you need help. There is an outside decking area as well. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, and yes, sometimes they are a bit slow. So what - why are we in a rush? The food is good, reasonably priced. We will return again.If you want rubbish food just go to the sea front ! Please do not give poor reviews to a local company with local staff. They really do their best

Went here which is a self service cafe with a friend for lunch. Ended up with just a coffee as they only serve white bread so great disappointment for us as the food looked and smelled good.

Visiting Minehead recently I was taken here by a local resident for lunch. Set inside the West Somerset Garden Centre, which I have to say is also first class, this small busy cafe is an absolute treasure. Home cooked cakes and very tasty lunches cooked to order. We sat outside on the decking area with occasional lovely smells coming from the surrounding plants. What was going to be a quick lunch turned into 2 hours of pure delight.

Tucked out of the way from the town, this cafe is set in the Garden Centre and is always very busy. Delicious coffee and cakes and piping hot, tastey lunches.There is an outside deck surrounded by mature plants where you can sit in good weather. The location being where it is makes it a nice quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of town.There is quite a variety on the menu and it changes regularly. Often full with the locals here morning and lunchtimes. Always a good sign.

Home cooked cakes, scones and cookies. Lunches cooked to order for you, fresh quiches, and dish of the day, choice of breakfasts enjoy a local beer with your meal. Loyalty coffee scheme also breakfast loyalty card available if you are around for a week well worth considering. Lovely outside decking area.
