West Kirby Grill in Wirral

Food arrived over 30 minutes late, rang after 20 to be told it’s coming bye. When it arrived it was freezing cold. Driver told me it was late because they thought it was a collection as it was a little order. £15 order obviously isn’t big enough of a priority for it to be delivered hot and on time. Rang to complain was told to call back tomorrow as they are closing. Food in the bin 2 hours wasted charged for Pepsi given Pepsi max. RIP offs.

It was terrible!!! I rang them as soon as I opened the food and the man on the phone agreed. He said 'was it the chicken kebab?^ Hes offered me a refund! When I asked for a new kebab I was told basically it was time they were closing. We are regulars here and feel totally let down when our whole order was over 30 quid. Chips were half cooked and the middle cold and inedible. Pitta was obviously off and as hard as a rock. I've got a sample of all the meal as I can tell all the food was being 'used up' I'll be in tomorrow for a full refund.

Numerous times have we given this place the benefit of the doubt but after another very bad experience I have to leave a review. Ordered at 1838hrs and was told would be delivered by 1938hrs which given it is Sunday evening I accept but when 2000hrs came and a telephone conversation we were told that apparently because of the rain the driver could not see properly 🤷🏽‍♂️ (I wish I could use that lame excuse on a day to day basis) Not only was the order wrong but was also cold. And when the delivery driver was questioned he again blamed the weather!!???? Seriously if you are going to make excuses please ensure they are viable! Anyone wishing to order from this establishment please be warned that although the food can from time to time be nice if you are hungry then a Mcdelivery may be a safer option..........not the first time I have been dismayed by the process and will definitely be looking elsewhere in the future!! 👎🏿

Decent food but definitely a little on the pricey side.

I loved the food great service I loved it you could tell the food was good by the looks in my opinion it was worth the money very cheap and very nice!

Ordered a meat feast pizza from her on the weekend, was cold, clearly hadn’t been cooked properly, gave me and my partner a upset stomach the next day, definitely won’t be going again

Walk in and staff just carry on doing what they’re doing, go in the back still not looked at you at all. Grunt when asking for order and only response was a gruff - 10 minutes! You get handed the order, pay and leave as though you’ve done nothing but disturb their day

Edited from 5 stars to 3. Price increase and less food. Just ordered a combi kebab for nearly £10 and there's 30% less donner and chewy lamb. Really disappointed. Also, why is the food now all in a pita and not separate? I order several times a month but I'm not sure anymore...

So today after the football was feeling really hungry. Went to west kirby grill I ordered large donor and chips .£10 I wish I could leave a positive review as I'm all for supporting local But I can't it was vile .cold no taste and flies were like butlets..The owners need to realise that things are getting tough ,and people will spend wisely. So if you don't up your game you coul d e in trouble.

This was rubbish, i used to come here for years and it was awesome. Chicken on the grill, tonight it was just some southern fried chicken on a a wrap with hardly any salad. Threw half of it in the bin. Absolutely vile! Will not return Disappointed big time :(

Every time I go in, I feel so uncomfortable with the owner being there every day, huffing and puffing because he's busy and asks you what you want as if you're an inconvenience. I mostly order from Ali's Kebab in Hoylake now, they deliver so fast and the food has only once been a bit cold. On the other hand, West Kirby Grill frequently makes mistakes. So firstly you get treated as if you're wasting his time, then the order is frequently wrong and on more than 5 occasions, he's just flat out forgotten to do the order. I know it's my fault to keep going back, but I live next to it and so I give them a chance every few months but nothing changes. I leave them a tip every time, so he's always made £2-£3 extra each order from me, yet still awful service. Tonight is the last straw, I won't ever be back, for the last time, I went in 30 mins earlier to order a burger , chicken nuggets and chips, I was 5 mins late, he blanks me when I come in, he's clearly not got any food waiting for me, nothing being cooked. He kind of notices me and puts a burger on the grill. I asked if it was ready, he said no, it will be 5mins, which it clearly won't be as the burger was only 1 part of the order. I told him to cancel the order, he looked angry at me.....at me. He had 30 mins to do my order, then I was 5 mins late, so he had that time too. It's just not worth it considering the food is basic and kebabs greasy as hell, service is always terrible and often gets it wrong. Save yourself the hassle, order from Alis Kebab House.

Spent £50.00 on takeaway. Lamb kebas didnt taste of lamb, salty and rubbery. Pitta breads were cold one tasted frozen. Ordered chips none arrived. Don't bother really bad.

Sunday night treat after work. Ordered kebab, pizza and chips for delivery. Arrived within the 50 min delivery time. Food hot and tasty. Will definitely eat from here again.

Very very very poor experience. Bad food is still OK once in a while, but getting rude and mocking customers with racist undertones is in extreme poor taste. No, will never order again and will never set foot in this shop again. Will ensure I send them a documented notice too. No customer should have to go through such an experience

My husband and I occasionally treat ourselves to the grills kebab wraps, usually they are great, but today was a different story. My husband called up to put in an order for collection, he asked for the two wraps but one without tomato, he stated this clearly a couple of times, ‘two Donna wraps with salad on both but one with no tomato’, when we were ordering we were also told multiple times 5 minutes, meaning we rushed over to get them, when we came to pick them up they gave us two wraps one with no onion, we explained we had ordered one with no tomato not no onion but both with tomato, after a long uncomfortable pause my husband decided just to just pick the tomato off but there was no attempt by the gentleman serving us to fix this mistake and we were still charged full price. Not much to say other than we were disappointed as it’s usually so good. Unfortunately Donna wrap with no onion is no where near as good.

We generally order from the West Kirby Grill every weekend and we’re usually very pleased with the food. It’s presented well, fresh and with lots of flavour. Tonight was a different story, we waited over 2 hours for our food, it arrived cold, overcooked, not to order and flavourless. When I called to speak about my disappointment with the food, I was basically told that they were very busy, with a driver down. I said that after waiting 2 hours, you would expect the food to be amazing, he again said he was very busy and put the phone down. Needless to say, we won’t be returning to the West Kirby Grill any time soon. It was good while it lasted.

Had a delivery last night and the onion rings were over cooked , we didn’t eat them and all 3 lots of chips were well over cooked !!! Garlic bread and cheese was overdone too ! Was really disappointed, the burgers and kebab we ordered were great though , just a shane about the other things , oh and we asked for Diet Coke and got Pepsi max ( I know it’s still no sugar - but my daughter doesn’t like Pepsi !)

delivery was earlier than said which was good for us. the food we would say is only average. the ham and pineapple pizza didn’t really taste of much and the garlic bread was a bit cold. average dinner. fudge cake we got with a deal was a bit dry. not sure if would order again.

Where do I start the grill used to be my favorite place the makeover might be nice but changes to the food is vile undercooked chips which had to be binned garlic bread was rock hard an barely any tomato sauce on it! I was over charged for pineapple which already came on the pizza so I didn't get more i got less i paid 33 quid for foods i wouldn't feed my dog my bubble gum milk shake wasn't bubble gum at all have been left hungry as the food was inedible!!!!!!!!!!

Food was ace. Realy nice. Hot and delivered fast. It was delivered 30 mins before I wanted it. It it turned out fine as partner was home from work quicker that I thought he would be. Maybe add In notes that you Defo want it for a set time and the time slot you ask for doesn’t work x food Was amazing though x

Usually the service received is second to none and the food always great, however tonight whilst the food was delivered on time an item was forgotten. Called up and told it would be out to us soon (please bare in mind I live no more than 0.15 miles away). 30 minutes passed by and still nobody showed up so I called again, told the driver had just set off and would be here within 2 minutes. That was 10 minutes ago and here I am still sat waiting for the item a total of 40minutes and counting have passed since the original delivery.

I have a kebab shop just around the corner from me but they come no where near this one. Food is really nice full of flavour and really tasty will defaintly keep ordering from this one and would highly recommend .

Food always nice from here but the driver who delivered it, couldn't find the house and the food was lukewarm. Had too reheat and next time will refuse delivery. I'm sure it's not the restaurant as we have ordered from here before just maybe give your drivers a satnav

I found the prices slightly more expensive than other take aways for the portion size, even when I actually ordered large. I ordered a milkshake to make the order go over £20 so we would receive a free garlic bread or drink and didn’t receive either. They charge £2 delivery charge and then asked for an extra £1 for abit of cheese on the kebab! So all in all £25.80 for two little kebabs some chips and a milkshake.. not even a the free garlic bread they advertised if you spend over £20. don’t think I’d order again.

Great burgbur and kebabs here. The lads who work here are sound too! Very clean.

Only west kirby could call their kebab shop a grill! ! But the food is ok but only what you'd expect from a kebab shop!

ordered a Mexican pizza (said online it has tuna and anchovies) thought that was an odd name for tuna pizza but went off the menu and ordered it. it came with beef on, I don’t eat beef so can’t eat it. called to explain, guy told me the Mexican dissent have tuna, I explained the menu online says tuna...he just apologised and said he’d contact just eat, no attempt to resolve. brill...I’ll just starve then shall I? total waste of money!

I don’t mind when food is a bit late, but when it’s marked as been delivered 20 minutes earlier and it still hasn’t left the shop, that’s a shame. The food is very good but the shop didn’t seem to bothered about customer service not even a sorry about the delay

Food was tasty and arrived really quick. However I ordered a kofte with sauce and no salad (can't stand onion) however it came with salad and no sauce (lots of onion!!). Aside from that, good.

Worst service and food from a take away ever! I ordered to be delivered at 745 and the restaurant emailed to change this to 755. At 730 I had 4 missed calls and 2 voicemails to say they where outside and I was not at home I then contacted the takeaway and they delivered at 805, the garlic bread and burger was stone cold, obviously sei big around for 30 mins! When the delivery driver came he started shouting saying I requested as soon as possible which I did not!! And it states that on my order Terrible food terrible service, just eat you should not use this takeaway!

Chicken was over cooked and dry and also I choked on a chicken bone. The donner meat was like rubber. It was delivered on time tho 👍🏼

the lamb kebab was the best i've had

I ordered a kofte kebab as I have done many times from here. I asked for the salad separate as it makes the meat cold. when the driver came to my door he demanded an additional £2 for the salad as ‘it was separate’. when I asked him why & how he could justify charging me £2 for a small takeaway box that cost 5p he couldn’t answer. I refused to pay it & told him his companies short sightedness had lost them a customer.

The lamb kebab was one of the best I have ever had, meat was really tasty and melt in the mouth! The pizza was a little greasy but tasty enough. The milkshake looked horrible but actually tasted really nice. Definately order again

food was decent quality, if a little bit greasy. The biggest complaint I have is about the delivery driver who when my order came to £12.90 and I paid with a £20 note started shouting at me "smaller bill" and was extremely rude! if not for him I would order from here again

Order from here regularly and usually great but today the food wasn't as good as usual, burger had hard bits in and just didn't taste that great and pizza had both red and white onion on when it only specified red onion.

Food tasted good. However really disappointed in portion size ordered large and i would say they where the size of a small, being more expensive than other kebab shops i did expect more. Also no freebies as you would elsewhere. Wouldnt recommend to someone with a healthy appetite 😐

Me gusta pollo frito y no tenemos una tienda de pollo frito en West Kirby, así que ve aquí de vez en cuando me baje del tren y sentir hambre.Yo tenía dos piezas de pollo.En vez de la habitual mezcla de pierna y pechuga en el hueso me dieron dos filetes de pechuga. Carece de sabor y nada tan bueno.El problema real con la comida fue que uno de los filetes más gruesos que los otros era. Aunque estaban calientes en el exterior, el frigorífico más gruesos filete era por dentro. No sólo es la muy apetecible, pero también los riesgos, siendo las bacterias viven el presente.Esto no debería suceder. Necesitan ser más cuidadosos con sus tiempos de preparación para garantizar que la comida es seguro y bueno para comer.No estoy seguro de que volveré.

Hi, Thanks to west kirby grill, They brought Real charcoal and Real MILKSHAKE to WEST KIRBY always up to day menu lovely Food THE BEST TAKE A WAY.They do everything dailly Fresh love it.NEW NEW.. They use Recycle paper boxes and Paper bags. RESPECT OUR WORLD

All fresh Meat, Salad, Pizza, Real Charcoal,West Kirby Grill a Take a way but Quality 5 stars RESTAURANT. They using recycle carry bags and boxes..i havent seen them another take aways this quality. Please go to Grill . Kids love them.
