Wesley’s at Budleigh in East Devon

Our first visit to Wesley’s and we will definitely go back when we next visit Budleigh Salterton. Highly recommend this lovely cafe. Best panini lunch we’ve had, very good coffee and friendly service. A sunny day so we sat outside in the garden, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. Another positive is that young people with special needs are employed here and we were served by Josh who was a delightful and helpful young man. Well done to all at Wesley’s!

Fourteen of us had breakfast at Wesley's on a Thursday morning earlier this month. It was excellent value, the plates were hot and the food was delicious. As always all the staff were welcoming, friendly, efficient and helpful. It's a great place to meet and eat or just pop in for a cup of coffee and a delicious freshly made scone.

My friend and I are so in love with this cafe. Imho the very best in Budleigh Salterton. A very happy atmosphere, dog friendly and fab cake! We love to sit in the pleasant outdoor environment and on cold or rainy days indoors. Five stars!

We visited on Saturday 14th September, and chose a table in their lovely garden as the weather was sunny. The staff were busy clearing and cleaning tables. It was busy inside and out with happy people enjoying their lunches and cake The staff were very friendly and attentive and when they took our order we were informed that there would be a 30 minute wait for the food. We didn't mind this as we know it's cooked fresh to order. And it was worth the wait, we had ploughmans and it was delicious! And beautifully presented. This wasn't our first visit and won't be our last! This place is a little gem in Budleigh and I'm very confused by the previous poor review. We have never had a bad experience in this lovely cafe

This place looked lovely. We chose a table and went up to the counter to place our order. There were plenty of staff busy preparing and serving other clients. We waited for them to acknowledge and take our order but were completely ignored. We thought we were maybe at the wrong end of the counter and went to the girl at the other end of the counter but she was so preoccupied together with two other members of staff over someone else's order ( does it take three people to deal with one person's order? ) that we were felt completely ignored. We waited for five minutes and then another customer arrived wishing to place her order. We were continued to be ignored by the staff. We waited a further two minutes and decided to walk out, as did the other customer. What food was there was the same price as other much nicer coffee shops in Budleigh who have proper customer service. We will not be returning to Wesley.

Fab place for coffee and cake- chocolate brownies are the best I have ever had anywhere! The coffee and walnut cafe was excellent too. All served by cheerful, friendly and helpful staff. We sat in large spacious garden - top place to visit when in B.S

Went there with friends mid afternoon on a Saturday, we sat in the garden which was lovely. Ordered drinks only, a pot of tea, cappuccino and four cans of fizzy drinks. It took over twenty minutes to arrive. Our waitress was nice and polite, but our fizzy drinks were not chilled, when we enquired if the were any colder cans we were told no, was offered ice, which was great. But the glasses were warm! Sadly would probably try a different cafe next time.

The best cream tea I've ever had, and I've had a few. Will definitely be back. Great friendly service. Popped in on my own and felt very welcome

Absolutely fantastic place! The best cream tea I’ve ever tasted served by the loveliest lady called Jade who was very polite and professional. Massive portions of jam and cream. I hate when there’s not enough for the whole scone but we all had some left over in our pots here. Big old teapots so we were never short on tea. The scone was warm with a crispy outside but wasn’t stodgy at all. The atmosphere was wonderful and they have a great outdoor area which i can imagine is fantastic in summer (sadly it was raining when we came). The place was clean, good value and the staff all seemed to really enjoy being there which is always good to see. Jade even gave us all fist bumps on the way out. 10/10, will be visiting every time I’m in the area
