We ordered a coffee with the special of the day which was cheese and onion quiche..I had salad and coleslaw and my other half had his with chips and beans. Coffee arrived tepid warm so I went and got a pot of hot water to top it up to make it hot. Our quiche arrived…crusty round the edges and just warm my salad and coleslaw was ok. The chips were only just warm and beans looked like they had been under a heater all morning. I’m afraid I wouldn’t go there again and I won’t be recommending anyone to go there either.

Went for lunch with family. They have a soft play there that’s £3 and is fairly good. Unfortunately it’s always dirty in there and no one appears to keep on top of the dirty plates. Tables aren’t wiped, seats are dirty. It’s just grim. The cafe itself is cheap food, it takes ages to get served and there were really rude staff members who, I appreciate may have been stressed, but didn’t need to speak to customers so rudely. Wouldn’t go back. I’d suggest if you’re nearby keep driving and find somewhere decent.

Very poor almost an hours wait for food , when it came dried up cheese in the baguette , mushroom and Stilton soup no Stilton at all and the smallest portion I have ever been served . Kids Mac and cheese was so small it was embarrassing ! Left our 4 year old hungry ! Female member of staff rude and unhelpful ! Male members of wait staff friendly and helpful ! But won’t return for food a shame as garden centre is lovely

Not a good experience. Slow wait times on food, good job I didn't order my child any food as he wouldn't have waited over an hour for food. When food did arrive they only brought out 2 meals and then took another 10 minutes for the panini. Fire alarm went off and we couldn't actually get out the fire exit. Overall we will not be returning to the cafe which is a shame as the garden centre is lovely.

Went for lunch with my husband to Cherry Lane today . He had a Senior’s haddock n chips, his usual choice. I chose Beef Pie, chips, peas and red cabbage. Don’t know why they serve red cabbage?? Beef pie must have been the very last offering which had been microwaved time n time again- pastry solid/concrete, begs n seasoned chips Ok. I would not have served the pie in such a state, I would’ve been so embarrassed!! Poor service which is such a shame!!

The last time I went to this garden centre was 25 years ago! It's got a lot bigger. We stopped for coffee and a cake and were pleased to see that there is a combination offer of coffee + cake for £4. Coffee was good, cake was good. The staff were friendly and it was nice to see efforts were made discreetly to keep surfaces clean.

We went here for Sunday Lunch. They do a carvery which looked very nice and very popular. It is situated in a garden centre which has a good selection of goods and well worth a visit. The cafe serves a good selection of meals and sandwiches. The cakes looked very good too. Will visit here again thoroughly enjoyed our meal. There is a large car park.

We have been going here a few years now and it hasn't been the same since it had a refurbishment. The queue just to be served is a 20 minute wait, then another 5 to 10 minute wait for the drinks to be made.

My wife daughter (46) and myself decided to have a run out my daughter lives in Bridgford so it would be easy to stay local so we thought of bradmore garden center it was only for a coffee and light bites on arrival the car park is quite comprehensive carn't remember parking lines which is a plus anyway you have more room, what struck me first was that there appeared to be lots of space which was not really filled with items to its full potential, what is apparent is that the prices on everything are fantastically cheap and i do mean everything which makes a refreshing change because one thing garden centers know how to do and that is charge!!! a great bonus is that they have 200* coffee now i have raved about this coffee when in nottingham (flying horse) its great coffee even the decaff, the cheese scones were also quite nice although at 3pm the scone i had and lost its freshness, the seating areas are extensive loads of room didnt look through the menu but i did notice a table nearby was eating a dinner, the outside plant and flower areas appeared fairly extensive although only had a brief look, carnt really say much more other that if you dont want the hussle and bussle of the larger garden centers then this is the one to head for

Visited on a weekday, not overly busy for a lunchtime. Good coffee with nice portion size. Had the ham, egg and chips which was slightly more pricy than some places but Slightly disappointing. Eggs a little overlooked, chips well cooked but scarce and ham plentiful and handcarved but didn't seem especially fresh. Cake portions not overly generous for price but fresh and tasty. Didn't appear to be any salt on the tables, which when you have chips is probably normal but managed without as couldn't be hassled looking for it. Sat in the conservatory area which is lovely as covered in but airy, so the best of indoors and outdoors. Unfortunately it's right next to the delivery area so frequented by numerous noisy lorries and vans. Didn't notice any vehicle fumes but found the noise invasive. Conservatory is also quite close to the road so a bit of more distant traffic noise if this is annoying for you, sit inside.

Excellent provision for Disabled and Wheelchair ♿ users, with space between tables. The acoustics in one of the rooms with wooden floors may be a handicap to those with Meniere's Disease and Fibromyalgia, but there were quieter areas available. What a great value Breakfast with Santa. We paid just over £20 for a2 adults and 2 children. On arrival just before 9am we were directed to the back part of the restaurant, where we were allocated tables for our breakfast. A magician kept the children entertained for the first 45 minutes. My boys, who are 7 and 5, absolutely loved her show. My youngest was in hysterics and was thrilled to be chosen to be her assistant for one of her tricks. We then had breakfast - the adults had a full breakfast and a drink, and the kids had a sausage cob plus orange or apple juice. Whilst having breakfast, the magician came round each table to make balloon sculptures for each child. Mine chose swords, so Daddy was given one too to flight off the boys! Then it was time for Santa to arrive. He sat on a sofa and asked the children what the names of his reindeer were, and read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas to them. He then called up each child to give them their present, which I thought was a lovely touch. The gifts were chosen to be relevant to their age and gender... mine got a Connect 4 Game and a pirate dressing up set. Wow, great presents! The boys loved them. At 10.15amish, Santa said goodbye and returned to his grotto in the garden centre. It was a lovely Breakfast with Santa - it really good value, and they limited the numbers of children so it felt very personal.A couple of things would have made it even better:- Santa really should know what the names of his reindeer are, without having to refer to a piece of A4 paper!- It would have been nicer for Santa to have read 'Twas the night before Christmas from a book, rather than from a piece of A4 paper- And finally, factor in some time for Santa to personally talk to each child and have their photo taken with him. We asked afterwards if we could have a photo with Santa in his grotto, which they were more than happy for us to do. Despite these, I would happily recommend and book again next Christmas.

My only gripe is that nowadays they only offer butter packs with no alternative of spread.I would highly recommend this very friendly cafe.

At last someone has corrected this location - thanks! We have been two three times to this venue and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience each time. This last time we were greeted by each member of staff we passed, which must be the only location one can experience such excellent customer service. The lady in the restaurant took time to help my wife get exactly what she wanted, which was non-standard. Our breakfast, which arrived very promptly particularly given my wife's order, was excellent and well up to the standard we have experienced before. Well done! Why can't I experience such excellent service in every venue I visit?

We always visit on Saturdays and have found the food, coffee and service to be without fault. The staff are welcoming and Sunday carvery is also good value.

I’ve just ordered a cook breakfast that was served toast without butter had to visit the till to then be told they had ran out of sachets - so past 3 hard chunks of frozen butter in a small pot. Got to the black pudding served raw and semi frozen 🤢 The young guy behind the counter very polite and friendly but the other staff could learn to smile more. Sadly, I won’t be returning came in today after awful surgery and first day out since my operations.

Laurence Henry is now Chef Patron of The Martin’s Arms located on School lane,Colston Basset. We have followed his career since he was at Sat Bains and won Master Chef the Professionals in 2018. It's been a year since he slipped off the radar. As soon an opening date was announced we booked. We were practically the first through the door for lunch. The menu is not quite your typical pub grub. It has the classics and something a bit different. We chose a couple of snacks. The Venison Scotch egg and we had to try the KFP. Kentucky fried pheasant with pine & thyme. A Poached pear Waldorf starter. Spiced port, Colston Basset Stilton, candied walnuts & endive. For mains, a true pub classic Cumberland Sausage, served with Mashed potato, seasonal greens & onion gravy. Nice tasty sausage with a lovely flavoursome gravy. Line caught cod. Creamy mash potato, Sweetcorn 'chowder` with clams, cockles & smoked mussels. A large peice of cod cooked to perfection. We wish Laurence and wife Sera every success and shall return with our doggies to see if they approve too.

Fantastic service here! Heidi held the door open for my relative, showed us to our table and served us our drinks! Food is really delicious and very good value! Highly recommend!

Went to the Gamston Lock for a family meal. The place was decorated nicely for Christmas and from the moment we walked in the service was great. Quickly shown to our table and drinks served. We had Leah to look after us at the table and she was really great and attentive. Highly commend Leah for her hard work and cheerfulness which added to our evening. We all had the festive set menu which everyone thought was amazing. Highly recommend. Will definitely return.

Recently taken over. Called in on a Saturday lunchtime. Wasn't particularly busy. Staff were very friendly and service was great. We only had a drink. The place was spotlessly clean. Will be a real asset to the area. Great outdoor area too
