We were recommended this bakery my a couple of friends and decided to take a drive out from Lincoln to check it out. We arrived quite late in the day around 13:00 on a Saturday which meant the options were limited in terms of the bread but we had reasonable selection still of paninis and rolls. Felt on the expensive side but after eating it was probably worth it.

A couple of friends and I called in for lunch today. We were warmly welcomed by the pleasant lady taking our orders. Unfortunately quite a few items from the lunch menu were not available today. We ordered what turned out to be very substantial sandwiches. These were nicely presented and delicious, and clearly prepared to order. The coffee and tea were also good. We enjoyed our visit to the cafe, which has a cosy atmosphere, and we were made to feel most welcome during our long and chatty lunch. The red velvet cake was apparently very good too. We’d happily recommend this little, friendly place to anyone visiting Navenby and plan a return visit before long.

Previously very good bakery but not what it once was. The quality of many items seems to have lowered a lot since the new owner took over. The sausage rolls aren't very good now and

I’ve been an avid fan of welbournes sausage roll for absolutely years now. Fresh out the oven, just cooled, near enough perfect. In the last few years they’ve frigged about with the sausage mixture and then they bought one of those sweatbox heaters to keep it warm which makes the pastry greasy and soggy. Last week was the final straw, oily, greasy pastry, raw grissly sausage meat for a hefty price tag. Please rehire whoever your baker used to be before you started buying everything in! Ruined a good village institution by cutting corners.

Great service and might be the best pork pie I've ever had!! The girls working there were busy and there was a queue but I was still treated well, served relatively quickly and generally very well catered for. Overall, a great experience!!

Thought we would try out the Welbourne’s tearoom as we noticed the window sign when we were driving past. I have used the bakery and have been happy with my purchases. The tearoom is small with 5 tables that can sit approx 16 people. The surrounding are nice and cosy. Very clean and fresh decor. Nice and warm. There was no other customers for the time we were there which is disappointing for the owners as its a really nice venue. We had coffee and scones. Scones were delicious. Nice coffee. The girl serving was efficient and friendly. We will come back. Hopefully the lack of customers was not the norm for the owners. You can park on the road outside. It is a busy road but there is a good number of possible parking spaces.

Wanted a variety of items for friends. The sausage rolls were over cooked with dark brown bottoms. The Bakewell tarts had little filling. Only the bread was fine. Has gone down hill in the past couple of years .

Superb wholemeal bread. Enjoyed marmite bread also but it is only available on a Saturday. Queues on a Saturday and at lunchtimes. Good to have a village bakery still going. Need to train Saturday staff better with payment cards.

Went on a special trip to buy some bread. Got home and found it either uncooked (straight in the bin) or barely cooked (probably for the birds). This bakery's products are like so many other so called bakery products - basically kits. This is massively wasteful both for us in terms of fuel and money and for the bakery producing inedible products and burning fuel and money in the process. Supermarkets do a better job quite frankly. We won't be going back.

Like others I was a loyal customer of the bakery for 15 years. I cancelled our order some months ago after the loaves changed texture and lost all crustiness. Today I nipped in to get some scones. They were the driest overproduced scones I have ever purchased. A wonderful business ruined by poor management. What a loss.

We have eaten only sourdough bread for years. We bought a sourdough loaf from the shop a week ago. Nothing about the loaf said ‘sourdough’ ! No sourness, no hard crust, no open texture , no weight. Was it wrongly labelled? Try Sourdough from the Hambleton Bakery at Oxton. With respect…the baker ought to give it a visit and taste the real deal.

Thank you so much for making my daughters birthday cake, the comments we had were amazing. She was over the moon with how it looked and it tasted fabulous. Also, the wonderful fresh sandwich selection went down an absolute treat. We'll certainly be back again soon...the quality and customer service were both outstanding! Thankyou!!

Visited the bakery shop in Navenby recently - the focaccia was reasonably good and authentic - however the Sourdough was disappointing - not at all sour, no distinctive chewyness, and lacking the characteristic open crumb that sourdough loaves should display. Really need to look again...

An amazing little shop, we won't get our baked products from anywhere else. Even our children refuse to eat breads from elsewhere. As they can taste the difference in the quality. Will often 'forget' much lunch so I can stop off here on my way...

Real, family run bakery with a selection of savoury and sweet bakes. We’ve tried the sausage rolls and they were so lovely, not greasy with good quality sausage meat. Loved their bread too. Recyclable packaging too, in short a gem of a bakery.

I am allergic to Garlic and often struggle to find things to eat in restaurants. The staff here were so friendly, they checked through ingredients and even offered to tweak the menu to make me something. Even though the pub is a Hungry Horse, the staff made it feel like a local, rather than a franchise.

After a long mornings work from 2am to 1pm I arranged to meet my wife for a chilled drink before heading home. We decided to meet and try out our local pub, The Lincoln Green as we understood it is under new owners and would like to support it.. Sadly on being asked if we were drinking only I was asked if we would go into the bar area. The lady was friendly and I have absolutely no issues with her as this is obviously(in my view) a very misguided policy. I informed her that we would not wish to do that as in the past we have found it cold with wooden floors which when the football is on makes it noisy. I have no issues with this in general as I enjoy watching football and make special trips to do so at pubs for the atmosphere but on this occasion myself and my wife just wanted a quiet, comfortable drink together. I explained this and added that the comfortable restaurant was totally empty. We were offered the chance begrudgingly to sit tucked around the corner as a large table(15 which soon turned to 8) was expected shortly. She declared that on this occasion we could but she had to state she couldn't promise in the future. I told her that we wouldn't waste our time trying in the future. We will just go straight to the CENTURION or HARROWS where we know we can sit in comfort and nice decoration for a quiet drink. Things I don't understand-1) if I was eating I would much prefer some atmosphere with some drinkers as opposed to an empty restaurant. 2) Had it been 11.30 with the possibility of a full restaurant I can understand not wishing to take tables but this was 2pm and totally empty. 3) we were not a noisy group who would be shouting and swearing and could spoil someone's dining experience 4) Surely a pub should be able to cater for diners, sports and football fans AND couples hoping for just a nice drink. Sadly, unless this policy changes we will not be back(unless to watch the football)
