The chicken pakora was really tough but the aubergine pakira was lovely. We irdered 2 lamb dushes and got one of them - lamb garlic which was yum but the other dish, which shoukd have been lamb bhoona was a non descript chicken dish. The paratha tast

I ate Chicken Dopiaza for the first time, and it was gorgeous. I normally avoid eating onions, but I ate these ones because I wanted every milligram of this terrific curry. The Naan had a pool of oil in it, which was a little off putting, but it was nice nonetheless. It did though take the staff quite a few noticeable minutes to give me a menu. But little niggles aside, would definitely go again!

I came here as a friend had recommended Mother India and this is connected and a 2 min walk from the Double Tree hotel where I was staying, with my family. The decor is tasteful and the atmosphere lovely. The food was really excellent, with some really original takes on any curry house staple. The veggie samosas set high expectations that the rest of the meal followed through on. Would recommend in a heart beat - a real hidden gem.

Food was brilliant. I ordered the chicken tikka couldn't fault it at all. Wife ordered the butter chicken and said very tasty just a little on the spicy side for her. Service very quick and we were in and out within 40 mins.

I come here as often as I can, had a lovely meal last night with my family. Food was stunning as always and staff so polite and attentive. Will be back soon guys! ❤️

Wee gem in the heart of Glasgow! The food was so tasty. We had a chana dal and an Achari chicken. Both delicious. Scooped the fantastic sauces with the large and succulent chapatis!!!! Fried rice was also a killed. Ended the dinner on a sweet note with the Peshwari Naan... what a treat! Prices are soft. Staff very nice!! We will go back!

Han pasado años desde que cualquiera de nosotros había estado, pero siempre tuvo una gran experiencia gastronómica, y esta noche, no decepcionó. Todos comimos del menú vegano, que era extenso. Compartimos un par de entrantes entre nosotros, y cada uno fue una gran opción tradicional, pero se hizo muy bien. Una vez más, la red principal era deliciosa y no decepcionó. En general, buena comida, servicio encantador, y una joya increíble justo fuera de los caminos trillados del centro de la ciudad.

Tasty. Aubergine fritters melt in your mouth. Chapatis a very good accompaniment to chilli garlic chicken. A good meal at a very reasonable price.

The wee curry shop is a fantastic little place. The food was great, maybe not the best of pakora but the lamb was excellent, and all round a great meal, we travelled 5 miles fir it but we will be back next week

The name doesn't lie... The smallest Indian restaurant I've ever seen.... Great food, great service.... Prices are with it! (Ok, they have expanded into the shop next door but hasn't lost it's wee charm!)

He visto este restaurante durante meses ya que mis hijos viven a la vuelta de la esquina, finalmente pude probarlo. ¡Wow! Muy buena comida. Preciosa cocina, gran servicio, ambiente muy agradable. La pakora de pescado y ajo fue un entrante sorprendente y delicioso - 6 piezas y una buena ensalada. Mi principal fue un derretimiento - en - el - boca methi fantasma con una salsa gloriosa, untuosa y un ajo naan bellamente cocinado que acompañaba el plato en lugar de abrumar la mesa. El cordero saag era igualmente encantador. El lugar es pequeño, así que reserve. ¡Odiarías que te rechazaran!

I had lunch with a friend using itison voucher. Nice clean place with courteous service . we had 5 tapas with our voucher which gave us good selection of dishes, food was plenty for two (we topped up with naan bread) , so good value for money. we had Chicken tikka chasni , chicken qourma and Macchi masala but all three of them came with almost identical creamy sauces! I had totally different expectations for fish masala and qourma, it didn't represent authentic flavours, hence two stars. Vegetable biryani and Dal was nice. so overall a mixed experience.

Excellent food. Definitely one of the best Currys in Glasgow. Our whole group had great food and the pricefor the quality is very good. Service was good as well as the staff provided recommendations and advised on what we needed for the table. Will definitely be back.

Great food but rubbery popadoms

This is a hidden gem, got traditional curry, garlic chilli chicken and extra garlic , tastes are amazing the chapatis and food were still warm when we got it. Defo recommend trying here and also the lunch time sit in menu,

Actually perfect. This place is genuinely probably one of the best restaurants I've been to in Glasgow. It is a little expensive but that price is so worth what you're paying for. I personally had the vegetable biryani with peshwari naan. 100% would recommend there's so much flavour in these dishes, I also managed to convince the party I was with on peshwari lol. However, It's not just food that was good but also the service and the plating too. Even the more typical dishes, like the chicken tikka masala and the traditional chicken breast curry that two of the people in our group ordered came out looking really quite spectacular. The woman who was working in front of house there that night was also really great. Really great place for Indian food.

It was a quiet Wednesday evening we popped in on a recommendation. We didn't need to book and we were apprehensive as it's not as smart as some other places. BUT the service and the food was fantastic; really good authentic Indian food, good veggie options and lovely service. Really lovely evening 😊

Went for lunch for two - but bill was £43 which I thought expensive. Ordered popadoms and a nan - which were extras - plus one glass wine and one beer. Food was OK- but won't rush back!

Bit of a disappointing experience. Firstly food took over 20 mins to to the table and then when tasting, unacceptable considering the only other table was a table of one. The dish however was spiced nicely but did not have any heat to it whatsoever. I had asked for the biryani and the waitress did not know it was on the menu until I literally pointed it out. It was a bland bowl of rice but in fairness the lamb was tender. In the grand scheme of things Glasgow has many great Indian restaurants but this place was very disappointing

Loved having dinner at the Wee Curry shop. The food was delicious, flavourful with just the right amount of spices. The samosas were authentic and very tasty.

I have eaten Indian food in India, the UK, and the USA. This place was definitely in the top 5%. I loved the chicken Jalfrezi especially. Brought to our table piping hot.

Small out of the way Place. Quick service but crowded inside so I waited outside and the manager brought out my take away order. Had the aloo gobi which was flavourful and a aloo Paratha which was good as well. Drop in and try some of the dishes.

This is my second visit to this fabulous little restaurant, food is fantastic, the fish pakora is the best I’ve had, honestly if you haven’t tried it you must, staff are so lovely, it’s just a little gem of a find ❤️

Absolutely fantastic curry house that beats everything I've had in this space in ~35 years - including Rusholme and the West Midlands - great atmosphere and the food was extraordinary, not a bad merlot either - definitely worth the journey, remarkable.

Visited with friends and had a wonderful meal. Shared starters of ginger fish cakes (quite spicy) and vegetable pakora , also popadoms. Then I had lamb saag which was absolutely delicious. Generous portions. We shared chapatis and rice. Very full, no dessert required! Coffee machine was broken which was shame… The BYOB policy is only for midweek and not at weekends (Fri/Sat) - but we had a very palatable bottle of Pinot Grigot and glasses of red wine. One thing we found weird was that we all smelt VERY strongly of curry when we left the restaurant - so much so that I had to shower when I got home! Wasn’t aware of strong aroma when we were there but we all experienced the same thing when we left! Never had that before… Food great though…

First visit today for lunch. The food was excellent as was the service. All food was freshly made. Lunch menu 2 courses for 12 pounds was great value and the portions were good. Will definitely be back.

Great venue and the food is amazing totally authentic and so good. They even have a separate vegan menu which is a great option also. Fantastic !

Tasteless curry. We were recommended this spot and were v disappointed. The chicken korma was literally chicken in cream - no flavour of almond or coconut. The butter chicken was similar but with wee bits of peppers and onions floating in it. Staff member who took the order was brusk and unfriendly. Wring pakora dish supplied (chicken not veg). The poppadum and onions were decent. A real waste of almost £50

Potentially the best curry I've ever had. Incredibly fresh and delicious. Great veggie ans vegan options but the meal was melt in the mouth too. Very friendly services and relaxed atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend a visit and will be returning as often as I can!

I was out here with my dinner club friends. We try and meet up every two months or so. The place is small so booking is advisable. We had a lovely table in the corner by the window. It was warm and cozy inside. We had 3 starters, popadoms and 4 mains. A few pints and a bottle of red. Total bill for 4 was £38.75pp which included our tip. The food was delicious and the service is great. Nothing not to like, nice atmosphere.

Unfortunately, this place is not what it once was. Service was patchy, and food not as good as other mother India venues.

Second week in a row I have ordered from here after being recommended by a friend. Great food and both deliveries on time with friendly delivery drivers.

8 minutes early and a very polite delivery guy

Food is really flavourfull with very little oil. Spicey chicken pakora, big chunks of chicken is a light batter with fresh herbs. Chicken saag, easily one of the best curries ive had great depth of flavour, personally would have liked it spicier but thats me. Big portions, interior is nice and cosy atmosphere 4*, i was the only person in and it was getting late so hard to judge. Ive been to mother indias cafe and this is just as good.

This was one of the best Indian meals we have ever had. We found the food very fresh and full of varied spices. You could actually taste the fenugreek, cardamom and cumin. Often we find Indian food can be quite stodgy and the sauces rich and over flavoured with Garam masala. But not here. The chicken biryani had fresh cucumber and tomato in it and a separate curry sauce. The Channa with mushroom and tomato was excellent too. Highly recommend.

Wanted a casual restaurant close to Buchanan Bus station. The Wee Curry Shop looked perfect, and as we didn’t want to get caught up in all the “festive menus” which are limited and expensive we booked for 4. The restaurant was warm and welcoming with a cosy atmosphere. Good choice of curries, starters and sundries, with additional information re dishes supplied by the waiter. We ordered popadoms and 3 starters between 4, x2 pakora and x1 fish cake… all good. Variety of curries were ordered, I chose lamb saag which was delicious. Rice and x2 naan breads completed the meal. Positives: great location for us, cosy atmosphere, has a BYOB policy, very tasty food, attentive service. Negatives: spiced onion portion for popadoms for 4 was a bit small, fish pakora a bit greasy (prob oil not quite hot enough).

Major road works just outside do this friendly restaurant with its excellent cooking no favours. Hopefully soon completed, because the chaos outside makes it easy to overlook this small place. We were there twice and only wanted a light meal: all was freshly cooked, with chapati like in India.

A hidden treasure in Glasgow. We were on a shopping W/E from Aberdeen and this was our first visit - certainly not the last. It maybe a small venue but big on taste and service. Staff were excellent as was the food - recommend to all

We had the best tasting vegetarian dishes any of us had tasted. The atmosphere was friendly and the service excellent. We had a takeaway another night. Despite the restaurant having just closed the chef very kindly took our order and gave us our food. I couldn't recommend this restaurant more.

We tried their Chicken on the Bone Curry, Dal Makhani and Garlic Naan, and all the food was too delicious. The flavour and aroma were perfect. The ambience is soothing as well. The prices are pocket friendly and the portion sizes are pretty generous.

I'm torn about this review because I've been eating here since it opened but the change of management hasn't gone well. Tonight we had starters and main course. Starters were excellent no complaints however does anyone know what a curry is there anymore? I'm genuinely concerned that visitors think these reviews from previous management reflect on the current management. They certainly do not. What I was served Tonight was not curry it was a tasteless lamb stew. I complained and the staff tried again to make me a curry but it was just a spicy lamb stew. I don't know why this place has gone so wrong but whatever it is I don't want visitors to think this is a glasgow curry place. It is now a rip off. I won't be back. Considering I've been going since 97 that's sad.

Both curries were watery and didn’t taste as expected. The meat was the only part that was cooked/tasted okay. The nan bread was tough and chewy.

Had a fabulous meal with friends. Food was outstanding . Starters excellent and mains so good.I had the Methi gosht which was absolutely delicious. Each person raved about the meal. Staff were so welcoming and friendly and recognised us from previous visits. We were also given tasters which were also tasty and lovely to experience different dishes.

Ordered at 17.05 and it didn't arrive until 20.20 as just eat couldn't assign a driver which isn't the fault of the restaurant, however, by the time the food got here it was cold. Seems like the restaurant prepped the order prior to a driver being assigned and it just sat there for ages

The food here is amazing. I rarely leave reviews but if you are wanting an excellent Indian with great service then this is the restaurant for you.
