Paratha Box in Glasgow City

I went with my family for breakfast and no doubt Paratha with Chana was too good. Recommend 100% Thank you Irram for great service.

Ms Shahla has been very polite and professional. Highly recommend this to the people of Glasgow! I would say Cheese Omlette paratha with desi chai is the best and very filling.

The wait time was outrageous and the price of the food was insane £2.50 for 1 paratha! The paratha was good and the omlette was thin and small and it was freezing cold. The pink chai was alright.

I visited the paratha box with my friends. The food was pretty good and the quantity of the food was quite ample. The service from the kitchen staff was commendable. Considering how busy the place was when we first got in, it didn't take too long for us to get our order. It's a self service setup where you need to first pick-up the order from the counte and then need to bin your trash before leaving. Although it's a self service spot, staff shall try to make sure that the tables are kept clean and tidy for new customers. The seating area has got an overall good ambiance. The interior looks cool especially when lights are on. There are number of small heaters mounted over almost all the tables which make the heating facility at least available. The heating facility can be improved by installing either bigger heaters or doing the ones which are adjustable (not fixed). Overall, Paratha box is a nice place to experience fresh home-made food.

Enjoyed my prota but found edges a bit thick otherwise very tasty 😋

I always recommend Paratha box to everyone as they have women in power and the the hygiene is really good. Prathas are really good cooked nicely less oily and very delicious and crispy. I tried the full menu and my favourite is the kebab pratha. Highly recommended

I am a regular customer,Yesterday visited them, the staff at reception was very rude - this is the first time I got mixed up with my order - but one of a lady inside was very nice she handled the situation- me & my friend noticed front staff made faces -it’s awkward - we waited for our Kashmiri tea for so long even it was infront of her - she was on phone & also dealing with another customer-not well train staff- missing the old staff-this time keema paratha roll was too small & not thick as it used to be

Love this place! Food is always on point. I got the chicken steak and chips with grilled peppers and onions with peppercorn sauce, it was delicious! The staff are always so helpful. My toddler threw my car keys in the bin at paratha box southside and i was searching for them frantically. Ameira came out and helped me look for them and found them. Really appreciated her help. Definitely recommend this place.

this is the second time, I have not received my order. x3 chips is just not acceptable. to be delivered without the x3 wraps. especially since I have 3 kids with autism. only to be repeatedly ignored when I call.

We ordered the cheese paratha and it was delicious, love that the paratha’s are authentic, homemade style, not a Shan paratha. I am not giving 5 stars for only 1 reason, when I went 2-3 weeks ago the chairs were so uncomfortable, would be nice to have better, comfier chairs for sure. Thank you for putting so much love in to your food. The staff you have are lovely, also one more thing, please you need to have a washroom/bathroom, it’s a must. I went to the branch that’s beside a car wash.

The girl on till was quite rude, patronising even (Sun 14/9 around 9.15am). Food was nice though, and the lady who gave me my food was smiley & friendly. However the girl on till ignored me at first when I had said ‘excuse me’ to catch her attention to be served (electronic ordering was down). When I finally caught her attention she seemed quite inconvenienced by me. Then on leaving, as I walked away from my table, she pointed at my table saying “the tray”. When I asked what she meant I was told I should bring my tray to her at the counter before I left. I have no problem with ‘self clearing’ restaurants, but had no idea Paratha Box was such. It was my first time here & I didn’t see a sign for self clearing. It was embarrassing to be spoken to in this way, she was NOT polite about it. I won’t be back again. I usually have a desi breakfast elsewhere locally, where counter staff are much friendlier to be around.

Hidden local gem… love it! a bit off the beaten track but great breakfast/lunch place… please don’t tell anyone coz if too many people find out place will get too busy and start going downhill.

I have visited this place several times it is nice to see woman cooks working at the place… Friendly staff and quick order preparation… One suggestion I can make that they can make the fajita and tikka rolls more better..overall it’s nice desi place to visit with family friends…specially if your craving for parata.

Drove from Edinburgh all the way to try it at first time. 12min waiting to get food ready but omg wow ,totally delicious and super yummy, also got takeaway 🥡 for later. The lady at counter called Izra was fantastic and very friendly. 100% totally recommend 👍🏻✌🏻

Great service from Omeira and our meal was lovely - we come here regularly for the chicken steak and rice with peppercorn sauce and will definitely be back again!

Havnt been here for neatly a year glad to say that the quality of food hasn't changed and great service from a young lady called Irram. I would recommend this place to anyone great variety of food and drinks at very reasonable prices I can't fault it.

Amazing food every time i go to paratha box. Cater well for people with coeliacs disease (gluten free). Service is always good, always friendly to the customers. They also give nhs discount which is nice as not many places do that anymore which is greatly appreciated. 10/10 every time i go. Got the chicken steak with chips, peri sauce and cheese and my friend got an aloo paratha with a side of chips and mango lassi.

I genuinely wish I could down vote this place more. In 2024 we still have places that don’t have a card machine. Amongst that is the non existent service. The staff meander around not asking if you’ve been served. It’s not even just one time this has happened. This is now the third time. I stopped last year but thought I’d give them another shot after a year. Nope. It’s somehow even worse

Love their soup always on point, especially as I’m not well & was craving comfort food. Also got their Chanay with egg & plain paratha👌🏽

Paratha was very good. Halwa was cooked in oil or ghee I’m not sure but had an odd smell. Channa was spicy and tasty if you like the chilli kick

I went here for a quick snack before going to mosque, let me say I was sooo shocked and surprised on how generous the owner was,. The owner gave me and my friend both free soup of the day which can I say was absolutely delicious!!! We waited only 15 minutes due to the place being full of people! We both had to wait for a seat in the mean time, but the owner went out his way to get us a table which we appreciate a lot! He Also came back to us when we were eating and gave us a free keema partha with chutney! Which yet again was sooo yummy 😁 Will definitely be back soon!!! Thank you to all the staff for amazing customer service! We loved how caring and generous the staff were 😁recommended massively!! Shoutout to shahla and chef!

I can hand on heart say this place makes me so excited to eat every single time I come here, I come from hamilton, my friend happened to come across this place whilst working and introduced me to it and I have been absolutely hooked ever since, I don't drive and have to cycle here but it's worth every single bit of the journey the food is all freshly prepared and is made with love! Chicken Fajita paratha rolls are the way forward along with the mango lassi to help wash it down ❤️ the healthy teas they make too are brilliant and it offers something different and whilst I'm not a big tea drinker i do enjoy these. Defo worth a visit! The staff are incredibly friendly and are always smiling 😁 Hopefully we get a Hamilton branch soon keep up the good work 🙏 😆

USED to be great place to eat but now has arrogant staff that has no customer skills, girl at the front eating away while taking my order. wait time for one pratha is 20/25 minutes, when most of the staff at the back just seems to be going round in circles
