Great food, brilliant service. Thoroughly enjoyed it

We had a family birthday meal for 11 people. The service was superb. RAJ went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic time. He gave the birthday girl a nice dessert with a candle and arranged for us all to sing happy birthday. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. I always use this Indian restaurant and I've never been disappointed. Most of the people attending were from out of town so had never visited the restaurant before and they were all very impressed with the service and the food. We will use the restaurant again for family celebrations. Thanks again RAJ.

We ordered starters, and it was amazing. There are no pictures as we were all hungry.

Although we cane here unannounced as a group of 11, they were able to accommodate us without much wait. The staff were very friendly and the food was superb. I had a King Prawn Moonga as a main, which was very tasty and moreish. It's the best curry I've had in quite a while. Thoroughly recommend.

Many work trips and used to happily eating on my own in restaurants. Somehow the idea that seating me right on top of the toilet door with me eating solo as an entire half empty restaurant troops in and out past me enjoying India Quay's food has the chance to be a fine dining experience...was a sensitivity that escaped the staff. So in the end idea what the food is like. Was scoping IQ for a works team night out. Other venues are available, and that after a brief minute sitting next to a swinging toilet door contemplating IQ's value of my business, is exactly where I went!

Thank you to Raj and team for really looking after us, he even brought out his best prosecco glasses! Food was fantastic, couple of us had the 'staff curry' which had an amazing warmth to it. The day we went the staff curry was chicken on the bone and the chicken was cooked to perfection and the sauce was incredible. For anyone staying near the SECC/Hydro a short walk to this place will not disappoint.

First time visit to this very good Indian establishment facing Glasgow's Squinty Bridge on the Clyde Quayside.We had booked a table for 3.The attention and service was terrific. Poppadums were crisp and dry so we were off to a good start. ⁸Lamb Patia Butter Chicken and Chicken Bhuna were all very tasty,Lamb was a tad chewy could have been more tender but it was perfectly palatable. The Paratha and chapatis, always a highlight were excellent. Flavoured Ice cream and coffee finished the meal beautifully.Several Kingfisher beers were quaffed which brought the bill to a reasonable £105 for 3 including a tip. The restaurant is modern and spacious on 2 floors.Toilets are upstairs🥺 There is no traditional indian murals or decoration but ambiance is bright and comfortable.Quite a walking distance to our intended destination "The Ferry" venue for those with any mobility issues. Very pleasant evening's Asian dining experience.

Close to SEC so a sitting target for the unsuspecting. Quite the most disgusting slop ever to try and pass itself off as Indian food - not cheap either! AVOID

Plain decor which might appeal to some. Service too quick despite us asking them to give us time between courses. Food decent enough but not spectacular and given it’s maybe on the pricey side that disappoints. Given it was a quiet night a lot of tables lay uncleared long after the diners left. Pleasant enough visit but we left feeling somewhat underwhelmed.

Apologies for this but was not very good at all. An honest review sorry. Very watery and lack in flavour. Strange flavours in what should have been very well known dishes. Naans were very flat and greasy. Best part was the mixed starter and lime pickle. Probably would not visit again.

After a long road trip, we were starving and searching for a place to eat near our hotel. It was already 10:40 pm, and to make things more challenging, there were no other restaurants open. Desperate, we called this restaurant, even though they were closing at 11:00 pm. To our relief, they graciously offered to stay open until 11:30 pm, as long as we could place our order before 11:00 pm. When we arrived, the restaurant was already empty, but that didn’t affect the quality of service at all. The staff treated us with warmth and hospitality, making us feel so welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, and despite not having our favorite Indian drink (lassi) on hand, they went the extra mile to prepare it for us. We are forever grateful for their kindness and the wonderful experience they gave us that night. We strongly recommend this restaurant! Thank you for saving the day.

Evening business dinner, have eaten here many times before and has always been top class, but this visit was poor. All of food was very average, and my chicken tikka was extremely pale (like a korma) abd had no taste whatsoever, it actually looked like baby food. Such a shame as previous visits have been fantastic.

The food was really tasty, everything seemed fresh and homemade. The service was very friendly and helpful despite the late hour. Gladly again at any time.

This was my second time to India Quay after 7 years (recently moved back to area) and it was just as good as I remembered. My partner and I ordered starters, mains and deserts, and loved them all. We especially recommend the tandori platter, the bhoona, and the gulab jamun. Tasted like coming home. Very good value for money, while bill only came to £75 for two people and three courses each. It was very busy, even on a weeknight so definitely book in advance. The servers took very good care of us, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you very much.

A group of us were in town for a convention and ate here twice. The food was very good and they were quite willing to adjust spice/heat levels. The service was good.

A very nice Indian restaurant that was within walking distance from my hotel. My meal was authentic in taste and portion size was really good. The menu has all of the favorite Indian dishes. I would eat here again.

Fantastic flavour dishes, very friendly staff and very reasonably price, highly recommend this place.

Normally service is very good however it was poor tonight and the attitude of the waiter taking the order was abrupt, bordering on arrogant. Cancelled coffee because againt it was taking too long. Staff should concentrate on customers in restaurants rather than setting empty tables. Desite this we will no doubt be back because the food is always very good.

Went with family of 6 last night before the Hydro. All of us agreed one of the best Indian meals we’ve ever had. Food was amazing both starters and mains and only bettered by the wonderful service from our extremely attentive and professional waiter Raj (thanks Raj) a true asset to the restaurant. Great value for money and would highly recommend if in the area.

Discovered this place by chance after the Stevie Nicks concert. Hadn’t eaten anything all day and was feeling super lightheaded so popped in just as they were closing to grab some mushroom pakora and wait for a taxi. Really quick service. Lovely atmosphere. Food is so good! Come here everytime I have something in the Hydro. Popadoms, mango chutney & spicy onions are a must. Chicken Tikka Chasni is so creamy. Partner had the South Indian and really enjoyed it. Toilets are upstairs where there is also a buffet option.

We spontaneously went to eat here, but from the outside the restaurant doesn't necessarily look Indian. The ambience makes a too modern impression. However, the service is very excellent and the staff was extremely attentive. The food was brought exactly as it was explained to us in advance, there were no negative surprises. Since we come from Germany, we also needed one or two explanations about the dishes; the staff explained to us exactly what was available and how it was prepared. It took a while but they took the time to explain this to the guest. The food was beautifully prepared and overall we were very impressed and can recommend this restaurant.

Woman opened my bottle of beer by accident and then put the lid back on it and sent me on my way. I know she did this bc I saw her open it and come back with another one unopened. The beer which was expensive was flat. How cheap can you be.

We travelled from Dundee for a night. Excellent service from our server Raj as always. Only great things to say about this place. Excellent access for a wheelchair user, immaculate premises with friendly staff. The food is amazing and just never fails for us who love Indian cuisine! Our starters were delicious and asked Raj for a recommendation for main as I like a spicy Lamb dish and always go for the Karahi but I wanted to try something different this time, Raj recommended the Lamb Moonga and it did not disappoint. This paired with a cold, fresh pint of Kingfisher was just fantastic! My boyfriend also highly rated his food and said the South Indian Garlic Chilli Lamb was the best he’d tasted so far! We will be back :)

What a great place to go for a pre show meal. We were greeted warmly and all staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were given their menus and our server Raj gave us some time to look over them and also said that he was happy to recommend anything to us. Our first lovely recommendation was on the drinks menu where Raj had recommend their Brockmen Gin which was a very refreshing gin mix (if you are a gin drinker or not i would highly recommend). Then on to our mains where some people in our party were recommend the moonga with lamb and another with the monic fish which to both people said it was beautiful. We all had a lovely meal and experience. They were very helpful and even phoned a taxi for us for when it was time for us to head to hampden park. Thank you for a lovely time and we will be back.

Returned to this venue after finding it prior to a concert last year. Another trip to the Hydro this week and we booked in and enjoyed our pre event dinner. There is a reasonable choice of traditional meals you would expect to see and some different options. The portion sizes are very good and the service friendly. We were offered time to wait between courses, which we appreciated as we were not in a hurry. I really enjoyed the paneer tikka sizzler and also gobi. The peshawar naan wss delicious

Food was great but for a buffet it was a bit lacking in selection.

Went here before gig at Armadillo. Hadn't been for a couple of years. Seated and then waited 15 mins to be offered a drink. We advisedthat we were ready to order food server stated she would be right back - didn't. Had to signal someone 15 minutes later. Overall we had 4 different servers and for 40 mins all we had was 2 drinks, poppadoms and spiced onions. Our food arrived 50 mins after our arrival and was uninspiring. We also had 20 mins to eat it before the show started. No reason or apologies for delays. Won't be back.

Excellent food & good service at a great location if you're seeing a concert at the Hydro. The nice staff arranged a taxi back to the hotel for us and took the trouble to walk us to it and make sure it was ours.

DELICIOUS!! Across from Hilton Garden Inn and Radisson in Glasgow City Centre. Fabulous alternative we happily accidentally discovered when learning we would have to wait an hour for tour bus groups to be served at the HGI where we stayed. So happy to discover this lovely Indian restaurant with lovely staff, willing to go the extra mile to ensure your dish will be to your "garlic tolerance" or offer you a sample of the "other" draft beer. Can't recommend india Quay more highly.

Great buffet here on Sunday 10/10 for the food and the service

1st time here and absolutely brilliant staff 1st class service food is a lot different from my usual place made totally different highly recommended

Visit this vendor before going to the OVO was really happy with the meal that we had were able to get a table very quickly. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Food and drinks were served within good time. This is only 1 of a few place we eat that day and this was recommended by from other people. Both the curry were lovely just a little different in curry compared to what we normal have here in the midland but husband still have it a go. They place is lovely and spacious would be nice for a bigger group of people

I've downgraded thus to 4 star because there have been issues with my order the last 3 times we have been there. When the order is correct, the food is great but not so good when you don't get exactly what you ask for.

A restaurant where you can indulge in the most delicious traditional Indian dishes. Only honest and freshest ingredients are used. The owners are extremely passionate and are always ready to customize a dish according to your preferences. Highly recommended if you're in the area!

We had a few days away in Glasgow and were recommended the India Quay restaurant by the Crowne Plaza hotel where we were staying. We arrived without a reservation and were given a table quickly, Raj took our orders. He was very professional but chatty and was full of recommendations. I had a Brookmans gin with berries which was lovely and for my main course a chicken moonga which was also delicious. Great service and food and special mention to Raj who looked after us well. Went for the buffet before Simple Minds at the hydro, place was busy but not rammed. Buffet choice was pretty poor. Dull pakora and sauces. Not a great choice of mains and when I went up not a lot of meat in the sauces. Won't be back.

Proper rip off. We had the buffet. I had 4 pieces of chicken in the korma sauce and that was end of all main dishes - plenty of rice, sauce and nan. I politely asked for more, they promised to bring it but never did. Liars and cheats.

Been a few years since we’ve been here but visited before gig at hydro . As usual food was pretty good, not as outstanding as other Indian restaurants we have been too but when your catering for pre concert customers everything is done quickly Would return again pre concert as handy as just across the road from the hydro.

Usually have a nice meal here but recent meal was awful. Basic Bombay potatoes too spicy to eat, husbands meal was full of salt, daughter and boyfriend meals two different meals exact same no difference in taste all, ordered three rice to share between four , they brought four plates with three rice and was told just scrape some from each plate to put on fourth plate 🙈 the service was awful. Attitude of staff when commenting on food was terrible was told “ nobody else has complained “ and told “ we use same curry base for all meals”. Won’t be back , not authentic Indian food at all £100 spent waste of money 😡😡

Hadn't been here in years, had a not so good experience a few (8!) years back Popped in here before "what's love got to do with it" gig at Armadillo, couldn't get a la carte but luckily the buffet was on and it was tremendous As a veggie, plenty good options, from poppadoms to pakora, couple of mains, both great but the butter paneer was particularly good 👌 To top it off, the amazing little dessert of gulab jamun which I've never had before... think sweet syrupy little donut balls .... awesome We'll be back 👍👍🤨

This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. We were staying in a nearby hotel and were attending a show close by as well. The food was delicious and competitively priced. The staff were very friendly and took time to explain how the food was prepared and the ingredients which my partner appreciated as she was not an Indian fan but now can’t wait to go back again 😀

We came to India Quay before heading to the Graeme Souness night at the SECC. Wonderful meal, made more special by our great waiter Raj who recommended the Chicken Tikka Moonga! Wow! We will definitely have that again. Thanks India Quay, see you soon 😊

Lovely meal once again. Had the buffet lots of nice meals good way to do a taster. Dishes were filled up regularly so need waiting for food. All very hot and tasty. Staff very attentive and very nice. Really good prices.

Tonight we had a meal at the lovely India Quay. On arrival we were greeted and seated promptly by a lovely lady. Within a few minutes our waiter Raj was asking if we would like some drinks.. My husband and I already looked at the menu before arrival and we had an idea what we wanted to order. Raj made some recommendations with his vast knowledge against the curries we were originally going to order. We trusted what Raj advised and went with his recommendations. I'm glad we listened because the meal was full of flavour and looked amazing. We definitely left satisfied with full bellies! The bill overall was great value for money and the restaurant was clean and had some lovely decor. We will definitely travel back for a visit! Thank you again.

Stunning food delivered to our hotel! Went to watch the darts in the hydro with my partner we travelled up from South Wales,fancied a takeaway to have at the Hilton afterwards, had the lamb jalfrezi, chicken tikka masala with chips,king prawn starter, mixed kebab starter, all very tasty free sauces and salad, it was located just down the road from the hotel but with the queue coming out of the hydro we pre ordered, would order again if staying in the area

A group of us were struggling to find an Indian restaurant on a very busy Saturday night in Glasgow. India Quay set up an extra table for us upstairs and then provided us with an evening of excellent service and superb food. Many thanks.

Raj provided a great service alongside some newer staff who he supported brilliantly. Food was amazing and came out in good time for us to go to a show after. Wish I could have eaten more but was stuffed!!

Very convenient to SECC Carprk. Had a starter for two and shared a Boona and three Chapatis between us ( we can never finish individual main dish) and there was no problem requesting an extra plate. Quality? - EXCELLENT Service? - EXCELLENT Thoroughly recommend. We shall return.

Friendly and clean, great food, fast service. The curry here is hotter than the norm, probably the hottest for medium dishes I have had anywhere else before, and I have eaten at Indian restaurants worldwide. Maybe they dropped a whole pot of pepper or chillies in the pot, but a mild Biryani left my mouth numb, it was pretty bad, spoilt the whole evening for two of us. The Vegetarian selection is fantastic, just over the top with heat..

This experience is amongst the best we've ever had. The speed and quality for the food was exquisite and the attention, professionalism and general attitide from server Raj, goes down as the most memorable experience. Will be returning in the future.

Great food and amazing service.

Service was good. Food could have been hotter, and portions were on the small side. The whole ambience was spoiled as the restaurant was lacking in heating. They had a wee fan heater beside our table, but it was not large enough to create any impact. The party was very cold with one or two of us keeping our coats on. I mentioned the cold temperature to the waiter with little response. On leaving, we were asked how everything went. The cold was again mentioned, but there were no apologies given. As our party had not been in each others company for some time, we were busy catching up and didn't let this affect our experience too much. It would have been much better had they had their heating on! Overall, 7 out of 10. Note that service charges are already included in your bill!

Having lived in the area for over 15 years I have visited several times. One thing ALWAYS brings me back, whilst the food is exceptional, it is the service that I come for (2 visits in 2 days says it all). Great staff team but having worked in hospitality for over 25 years myself, Raj who has been here for quite a while is the reason I come back. His attention to detail is something that is exceptional. Recommended a dish to my partner that was just perfect. Also had a chat with Cain both nights and just the ethos is awesome. The food is exceptional and so reasonably priced (live very locally so know the usual prices). If you are visiting Glasgow/Hydro gigs defo give them a try. Always go where the locals go. My partner may have wanted to lick the plate it was that good.
