Great little tea rooms, with home made cakes, breakfasts & light bites, all made to order. Very friendly staff to us & our dog, with quick service. Had a lovely large pot of tea for one & cherry almond scone. Although struggled to choose a cake, as so much lovely selection. Prices very reasonable. Would go again if passing the area, but currently on holiday.

lovely location, but would anyone call this a "full" English breakfast. One of the stingiest "full english breakfasts" I've ever seen. they said I could have added more items - fair enough, but then don't call that plate a "full" english breakfast which it is not. plus sausage was burnt

It’s such a shame that the British tearoom is being pushed out of our towns and villages by chains serving up over-roasted coffee in outsize vats. It has often been s mystery to me as to whom is able, or indeed desirous to drink do much. Anyway....I often pop into this old-fashioned tearoom that has had to adapt to the world of Covid Hysteria in which we live. Nonetheless, delicious home made cakes as ever. Well-brewer tea and absolutely charming service. My cheese on toast was a real treat too.

we ere quite disappointed with our visit ,food was good, but what totally spoilt it for us was the amount of flies in the tearooms there did not seem to be anything to deal with them, we counted about 20 in a small room, it just made us eat quickly, so we could leave. afraid I will not be returning.we felt theowners could have had something in place to help with the flys.

If you’re travelling west towards Stowmarket on the A1120 you’ll probably miss this gem of a tea room in the village of Peasenhall, so park alongside the dyke on the main street and walk back towards the small village green (just beyond Whincop Coaches). I stopped for an early light lunch and enjoyed scrambled egg on toast (I was there shortly before mid-day and breakfasts are served until 11am.) The tea room seems popular with local people, and the meat products are from the butchers across the road. The staff were friendly and the tea room has a nice atmosphere. I don’t know if there are downstairs toilet facilities as I was directed to one upstairs.

Breakfast, lunch or tea, this is just such a nice place. Simply and charmingly set out, from the bee motif tablecloths, to the book shelf in the cosy and quiet raised side room with a view of the knoll. Seating outside is also a treat. Breakfasts use local ingredients, cooked by Sara and served by her daughter Beth, and great to be able to choose a large or a small full English. Always a good selection of lovely cakes, and the lunch time list of salads and the like makes for a difficult choice. This is a village tea room at its very best. Not twee, just a genuinely nice place. It’s where I head for when in the area.

We were disappointed not to get a proper home cooked lunch anymore. Had been looking forward to choice of soup and cooked dinner but its no longer available which is what made me suspect it had changed hands. Reading the latest reviews i see that it now has new owners. I wish them well but a shame the lunch menu is now just the usual old baguettes and quiches. Scone was expensive and very crumbly too. I didnt try the cAkes but they looked fine. I think a tearoom is an asset to the village, and tbh it always seemed incredible hard work for the previous owners. So with such a small team i can see why the new owners would do simpler food. And perhaps thats what most people want anyway. The waitress was very nice but we dont see ourselves making a special trip here for lunch anymore.

However the menu is very varied and we were tempted by a Yorkshire pudding filled with mushrooms in a stilton sauce with side salad. Very large portion and we were both full up. However we managed to fit in a very large and lovely fruit scone with butter, clotted cream and raspberry jam. Other jams are available as there is a choice of around 4 to choose from. We also had a smashing, large hot chocolate. Again there is a choice of different blends of hot chocolate. Great value for money. The menu is, as stated before very good ranging from cakes, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, salads and a variety of hot meals as standard. There is also a blackboard with daily specials. Service was good and friendly. They have a small outside seating area for good weather days. Please note, those with mobility problems the toilets are upstairs.

Because of an enforced layoff I from the day job I had to spend a week recuperating with friends in Suffolk and one lunchtime I was taken to Weavers Tea Room - a place not unknown to me from my past, but which I hadn't been to for years. Well what a surprise - two three course lunches for a tad over £15 - where can yo get that these days??? I chose the steak pie which had proper meat in it - not the mush that some places fob you off with as meat. The vegetables were cooked just right and the Bakewell tart was one of the best I've had with the custard thick and creamy. My mate's chicken looked good to and he didn't complain about the bread and butter pudding.Highly recommended as a lunch venue - especially if you are going to or coming back from the coast where the prices for the equivalent will be much higher. If you do decide to go I would suggest that you book to guarantee a table. Also if you are on the hunt for original cards or small presents you can buy those here too. Bon appetit!

Very pleasant staff and surroundings. I had a fruit scone which was fresh and warm with a choice of Tiptree jams. Very nice.

We were staying in the area and having tried the cafe for a delicious cappucino decided to try their special deal of a three course lunch for £7.95 (Tuesdays and Thursdays). The cafe is located in a charming village and is nicely decorated with pleasant service and the food was good and of excellent value. I enjoyed their soup and pud deal - which had an excellent choice of soups and desserts. The only observation I would make is that it would not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues given that there are stairs up to the cafe and also stairs up to the customer toilets. Other than that, recommended!

I didn't enjoy my Sunday roast very much. The meat was over cooked and the gravy tasted like gravy granules or something like that. The potatoes were a bit undercooked but the vegetables were ok. The place was nice and the staff were good but I was disappointed.

If you want smashed avocado on sourdough with pea shoots and other unnecessary greenery then this cafe is not for you. But if you want the best quality full English, fresh unfussy honestly presented British and local food then you’re in the right place. Always a warm welcome, seriously tasty local food, simply cooked and unpretentiously presented. Today’s special were some seriously big juicy scallops which I had with my full English and they were an inspired combination and very popular. Thanks Sean for another outstanding breakfast. Keeping consistent standards like this is a real labour of love but it shines through in the food. Lovely breakfast and not an avocado in sight. PS a ‘greasy spoon’ this is not!

We decided to pop in for a drink ,my partner went to the bar and I went to the toilet ,10 mins later my partner still at the bar not been acknowledged woman sat behind the bar not looking at him and what looked like the manager talking to some people ,fair enough if you can't serve say so or if your talking just say you will be a minute. They were so rude and ignorant maybe if we had been stuck up people he may have looked at us ,but we are just normal. One to avoid

Authentic Pie, Mash n' liquor in Felixstowe - I popped in here after a couple of beers on the front - lovely pies, good old mash and proper liquor - knife, fork and spoon for the liquor, with vinegar, just like in London SE1 - interesting photos of England football stars and a bit of banter with the owner. All in all a great lunch and long may they thrive in Felixstowe.

The best sourdough bread we've tasted, ever! Chewy, crispy, delicious! This quality will be hard to beat. It's definitely worth a visit here if you're in the vicinity and we'll definitely be back, next time we're in - or near - lovely 'Fram'.
