I’ve tried this place a few times now. Best I can say is that food is poorly presented- my egg looked like it was frazzled ( I was quite surprised they served it) and service in the cafe at best is unfriendly. It feels like you’re doing them a favour . Service in the shop can be ok but it depends who is on the till as to whether they are friendly or not. It’s pretty expensive as well . I’m going to give it a miss and go somewhere that makes me feel welcome in future.

The 2 stars are for the farm shop and the service in the cafe. The guy who works in the shop and the guy in the cafe are both nice and give great service. The let down is the food I am afraid. Though I wanted to say something whilst there I felt quite awkward to complain in front of the rest of tea rooms. Our food was awful and we paid over £16.00 for it. 2 family members went at the weekend too and had the same experience. The quiche is small soggy and greasy, I scraped a teaspoon of margarine out of the sandwich. The coleslaw was so wet as well that liquid filled half the jar. You get about 5 crisps per plate and pay over £8.00 for it. It’s a shame because the tearooms aren’t nice and good before has been good. A few of my friends go there for breakfast, and say that this is quite good so I’m only speaking for the lunch. Sorry to the guy who served us, the review doesn’t reflect your service!

Visited Wayside Cafe today and had a really excellent afternoon tea. The service couldn’t have been better. We were able to choose sandwiches and homemade cakes to go with fruit scones, cream jam and strawberries. We were able to choose cappuccino instead of tea. As always the coffee was really good. Great value for money and will definitely return very soon. Thank you x

Called in for snack. Food very good and not expensive. Let down by condition of sauce bottles on all the tables, where the tops of bottles were caked in dried on sauce around rim area. Evidently had not been cleaned for some time. Not at all pleasant to look at. Wish now that I had made comment at the time.

Great fruit and veg and lots of interesting things on the farm shop. Has plant based milk and dairy free spread but only vegan option on menu was jacket pot with beans. It was a nice jacket pot though! Would be good to have a sandwich option and maybe soup? Staff friendly, dog friendly in cafe only. Loo on site. The cutest tea services!

Having called here several times in the past and been very satisfied with everything we thought we would call for a mid week lunch. Parsnip and apple soup sounded perfect. Sadley this was not a soup but a puree. Much too thick and glutinous. In our opinion this needed more stock. This hasn't put us off and we will call again. Maybe not for soup.

There's been a roadside stall, or farm stand or shop of some description, on this spot for nearly a century now. It's obviously changed a lot over that time, generally for the better in recent decades. I turned up last year (I used to live very close by) and ate in the splendid outdoor back bench area twice; it's nicely away from the main road and therefore quiet. The tea and food and cake were excellent, after which I had a wander around the farmshop which sells a formidably wide range of foods and food products. It was pleasing to see that many traditional foods, fruits and vegetables, from pickles and honey and jams through to various apples and plums, were still available, and often locally produced. This is the only permanent roadside stand on this stretch of the road (it peaked in the 1970s and 80s with around 9 roadside stalls and farmshops, and many more temporary places when the victoria plums were ripe). It's good to see that there is one high quality fruit and vegetable place still operating, and long may it do so.

Just a lovely friendly place. From Lucy who served us and to Tom who was standing in as “chef/cook” threatening me with “it’ll be the best breakfast I ever had”. Loved it! Breakfast was delicious along with my Gluten Free bread which arrived by another lovely lady out of nowhere. Thank guys, you have it so right. We had paid more money for a truly lousy breakfast at the local shopping garden centre, yet here we paid less and walked out with 2 truly lovely slices of homemade cake. DONT hesitate just go and find out.

Does not look great from outside, but if you are thirsty or hungry the café gives quite simply fantastic meals and sandwiches. They are made fresh and locally sourced. The sandwiches are a meal in themselves, the tea and scones are fresh, tasty and large. The speciality appeared to be their « bubble and squeak » because everyone who came in ordered it and one couple recommended it to us as we entered. Well worth popping into if you are near Broadway.

We discovered this tea room on the way back from Broadway. The room is spacious and enables you to have a private conversation without the worry of eavesdroppers. Staff were friendly. There are a good selection of teas reasonable priced, I had a standard pot of breakfast tea which was £1.99. We had china cups in prestige condition ie no chips and stains. There is a good selection of home made cakes but we did not have any of these. Attached to the tea room is a farm shop with cakes similar to ones sold in the ta room. We purchased some fruit. I would definitely recommend and return if in the area.

We discovered this delightful tea room when taking a much needed break from filming for the BBC in the Cotswolds. We have been back several times since, always to taste the delicious cakes which seem to be different every time! Whoever makes those cakes is really creative. They aren't your standard carrot or chocolate cakes. Well actually, there are those but in addition there is always something innovative, like lemon & blueberry cake, banana and nutella cake, cherry and almond cake (but with plain cherries, not glacé ones.)The service is good. You are sitting in pleasant surroundings which are not cramped. Your tea is served in good, old-fashioned china cups and saucers. There is no irritating music playing over speakers and, even better, there is a well-stocked farm shop attached with an exhaustive range of foods.

The place was adorable, mismatched furniture and plates added to the charm, multiple home made cakes under domes just ready to be served, warm scones with jam and cream, delicious sandwiches! The tea pots were also very quaint! Wished we were able to come here more than once on our trip. Stopped in next door to peek around the veggie stand and ended up buying some local cider to drink later and some soaps to take home. We also got some sandwiches to go for later and they were very tasty. Can't recommend enough :)

I am not local but on every trip to the Cotswolds, I can recall having stopped here for at least the last 20 years. Initially, it was to buy local plums in September then it became a tradition to stop, whatever the time of year. In more recent times, the farm shop has added a cafe and I have sampled this two or three times too. Last week when we stopped there, the cafe was packed out. I noticed a couple of men holding a business meeting, a few older people having lunch and quite a big group of men eating too. We had seen lots of cars coming and going as we arrived, some staying only a few minutes and we assumed these people were using the farm shop as opposed to eating.

We stopped on impulse on our way from London to mid-Wales - it's right on the A44 near Evesham - and we're happy to have found this little gem. Food is not fancy, but good honest homemade stuff: soups, quiches, sandwiches and jacket potatoes plus a wide range of cakes. Portions are generous, the very tasty broccoli and Stilton quiche came with a fresh and crunchy side salad, co,estas and crisps - although the quiche had been warmed in a microwave making the pastry soft and I'd have preferred it cold if I'd know that's how they did it. Homemade soup was served with thick chunks of fresh brown bread. Coffee walnut cake is very nice,y coffee flavoured, the buttercream not too sugary, would beeven nicerfrom walnuts in the sponge not just the filling/topping. Good coffee is Fairtrade and organic from a roaster in Bristol.

Lovely little tea rooms behind fruit and veg shop in Wickhamford. I took my Mum for afternoon tea and we enjoyed the yummy homemade cakes. Popular with locals which is always a good sign.

I was driving a group of friends down through the Cotswolds and wanted to find a place for a coffee break, rather than stop at a service station, or the like. We came across this little tea-room and stopped on the off-chance. Lovely welcome - not fazed by the fact that there were 12 of us. Served a lovely cup of coffee. The cakes looked tempting, but they will have to wait for our next visit. Had a look around the farm shop and bought some really good strawberries. Will definitely stop here again

I visit this tea room with a colleague on a regular basis. The welcome is always warm. The staff are happy to chat and take into account any personal preferences. The food is perfectly fresh and home cooked. The homemade pate is a particular favourite as is the utterly delicious blue cheese and mushrooms on toast. However the real highlight is the cake selection. I'm usually too full to eat there and then but too greedy to walk away so generally take a couple of slices back to London - the lemon and orange curd cake is about 8 inches tall and the stuff of dreams. There is also a lovely farm shop selling local veg, cheeses, chocolates and pies. Whether you are a local or in the area for a visit, this tea room is worth a stop.

I have driven past here on the way to Broadway many a time and today we decided to stop and have lunch and see what was on offer. A lovely tea room, very welcoming and as soon as you walk through the door, are met by an array of cakes and bakes well presented. There are menus on the tables and specials on the board. I like the fact that you are waited on at the table and you don't have to juggle tea and coffee yourself. My husband had the special from the board, bubble and squeak, crispy bacon and a poached egg. I had broccoli and blue cheese soup with brown bread and butter. All homemade and the soup was also available to buy in the freezer section of the farmshop. We had apple pie for afters, and although custard wasn't on the board with it, we asked if it was available. It certainly was, and as soon as I tasted it, I knew it was homemade, it was lovely and creamy. Another touch I liked was that I had hot milk with my coffee as it should be. There was fresh good quality produce in the shop, along with cakes bread and eggs.I will certainly stop off here again. Oh, a quick mention about the toilets, spotlessly clean!Thank you very much.

Delightful owners make the most fantastic, thick and hearty bread pudding (1.25 L for a good size chunk) made in the traditional British style; no eggs. Rich and fruity, we stopped in and bought a few pieces every day we traveled. Bought some to take home, too, but none of the pieces survived the 40 minute drive to the airport! The tea room has a wonderful atmosphere and its location in the beautiful fruited hills of the Cotswalds combine with a fantastic fruit stand to make this a must stop for any Cotswald traveler.
