Great find - lovely coffee and they have gluten free bread for sandwiches/toasties which is delicious. They prep GF things on a separate chopping board to avoid cross contamination too. Lots of veggie/vegan sandwich options as well, and they had a GF vegan soup which was nice.

Great little coffee shop. Stopped here for a pick me up while visiting this delightful little town. Great coffee and tea. Generous portions on lunch, and tasty too! Highly recommended.

We visited yesterday afternoon (Sunday) and were pleasantly surprised to find this cafe still open at 4:30pm. Delicious tea and cakes, relaxed surroundings and a very welcoming vibe. I’ve been so many places recently who turn customers away as it’s getting near closing time and make you feel so unwelcome but this cafe was the complete opposite, welcoming customers to sit in right up until their 5pm closing time. I would highly recommend this cafe.

We were looking for coffee or tea and found this cozy place in the main street of broadway. We ordered coffee and asked if they could serve tea on ice. Although it wasn’t on the menu, a very nice gentleman manning the register said, of course, I’ll bring it to your table. After resting a bit and as they were closing down for the day (5 pm), I started using my USA phone to call a cab to take us back to the hotel. I asked for the gentleman’s recommendation for dinner and for taxi companies. After he realized I couldn’t get through, and after he had closed down the locale, he came out to offer me the use of their local phone. He also taught me how to get the + on my phone. We got through the taxi company and were able to get picked up. I’m guessing the gentleman was the owner of Leaf & Bean, but if he is not, he has “customer service” as his main mantra. I’d encourage everyone to visit Leaf & Bean for coffee, tea, simple food or for the most amazing customer service.

Found these guys on a day out in Broadway. The coffee is lovely - definitely for those who appreciate a good roast, and well made brews. The toasted sandwiches are equally excellent and filling. But best of all is the service. I clumsily spilt coffee all over the place, and the friendly, professional way it was dealt with was brilliant - saved some embarrassment and to top it all, they insisted on re-making my coffee free of charge. Can't fault them, definitely recommend!

Can't say too much because we arrived late in the day and were told they had stopped selling food. Of all the cafes in Broadway it looks like the best, my wife loves their teas and their coffee is fine

Really tasty chicken and coleslaw sandwich on thickly sliced brown bread. Very generously filled. Only £5. Incredible value. Also our dog was welcomed. A bonus!

Every time we have visited Broadway, we go to the Leaf & Bean. They have a cozy indoor restaurant as well as garden opposite. Today (Saturday 1 June) we called in and, once again, we were not disappointed. We both had a “door step” toastie (one ham and one chicken (both) with homemade coleslaw). Partner had a large americano and I had a lovely pot of breakfast tea. Varied menu and a good selection of cakes, pastries etc. Staff are always polite and helpful.

We had coffee and a toastie, which was loaded and very tasty. Great value. The place is compact but worth a visit

Popped in for a quick bite to eat. Staff friendly. Reasonably priced one of the nicest sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Really nice fresh thick bread which proper chicken and great homemade coleslaw. Didn’t try the cakes but they looked amazing.

Recently moving to the area as a dairy free coeliac I was a little sad when coconut milk was not an option on my first visit. However, responsive to customer demand which shows initiative and excellent attention to customer service this offering was there within a week. Add to this traditional and elevated fillings on gluten free sandwiches and toasties that are honestly priced. On a tasty bread. Generally three cake offerings gluten free and an always hot coffee with helpful happy service I have absolutely found my go to cafe. EXCELLENT!!

An unpretentious and basic cafe, but the staff are chipper, the food is decent, the coffee great and the prices very reasonable. It's also dog friendly which was great for us. The place was busy with a constant stream of people in and out, either for takeaways or sit in. We'd be very happy to visit again.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Really great cheese scone! Iced mocha tastes amazing. Coffee roast is full and flavorful. Definitely would return!

Food and cafe itself great but the customers were not very nice. One customer tried to steal one if our chairs that clearly had a coat and bags around it without asking us, and 2 other customers just sat down with us because they though we were leaving??

Amazing little place for great food and drinks. Great selection of teas on offer and good food choices. I haven’t come across ginger scones before. They were excellent and large too. Staff were courteous and helpful and service was quick.

£3.20 for a very small and weak mocha and the toastie was evidently made with relatively cheap, supermarket ingredients. Fine but not worth the money

How long does it take to prep a tomato the lady serving my wife yesterday was rude and should not be let loose on the general public,,,??? Think we will stick to using the cakery

Delicious small dishes, beautifully seasoned, innovative and colourful. The menu is varied and relatively inexpensive. Try the Sangria!

Excellent lunch of tea, coffee and sandwiches. We sat out in their little garden area and enjoyed a chicken and pesto and a chicken and chorizo sandwich. Both very fresh and with a good amount of chicken. Tea and coffee so good that we bought a bag and returned to buy more!

Visited late morning, Bank Holiday Monday, for coffee and cake. The coffee and food was nice enough, it's just a shame that the staff serving couldn't force themselves a smile. Both the girl on the till and the lad clearing tables, I got the feeling that they'd rather not have been there. I suppose, dealing with Joe Public on a busy Bank Holiday would wear anyone down eventually. Oh well.

Delicious pastries and coffee here. We loved that they offered so many vegan pastries - the chocolate cake, hummingbird cake, carrot cake, berry flapjack, and fruit scone were all delicious. They also have multiple outdoor tables in the back. Highly recommend!

Everything was exceptionally delicious. Quality food at a very reasonable price. We both had ‘just’ a sandwich but it was way beyond that. All of the ingredients were generous and so tasty. Drinks were great too. This place stands out in a town that has numerous eating places. The staff were delightful too!

We were travelling in the UK from New Zealand and we stopped here in December to have a hot drink and escape the cold and snow. This cute cafe had the best scones out of our entire trip.... I'm still thinking about them. Lots of good cabinet food and the toasted sandwiches were to die for.

Just love this cafe, we have been 4 times in the last 6 weeks. Being local this is our ‘go-to’ place for a coffee of light lunch.I’ve the selection of teas on offer. Plus the soup is delicious, really generous serving & the cakes. My fav was a pumpkin spiced cake, seasonal and soooo tasty. Highly recommend

Stopped by Broadway enroute to London. We were spoilt for choice on where to have lunch and we chose this cafe. It was a lovely and simple lunch of toasties and soup (all vegan). Would highly recommend sitting in the courtyard when the sun is out (very rare in Autumn)

We nipped in very close to closing time for some cake and a drink. The team were very welcoming and the cake was lovely (lots of vegan and GF options too). They have more teas to choose from that I knew existed! A really lovely little tea shop worth a visit!

The staff was super friendly and the food and tea was very good. The fresh cakes were also very good indeed. No complaints.

We loved it here. My husband and I came here with my mum and we had coffee and toasted sandwiches, all really good. As a tea drinker I was pleased to see an extensive tea menu and the coffee was excellent too. Good choice of options for lunch including a good range of vegan toasties - I had the masala potato one which was very yummy like a toast samosa. The cake menu caught our eye and we returned for more coffee and also cake later in the afternoon. The ginger scones, brownie and crumble cake looked nice. However I don't think you could really have gone wrong with their cake cabinet! While entry is usually through the rear of the shop and does involve a step, the front door was open and I'm sure this would be fine for wheelchair access. All staff very helpful.

Its quite basic for seating, they allow the fabulous coffee, tea and food do the talking for them. I liked the tea so much I brought it home. Try the ginger scones, they're gorgeous!!
