Such a lovely little place with friendly and accommodating staff. We were really hoping for a milkshake and despite the fact it’s not on the menu during the colder months they were more than happy to go out of their way to make two delicious milkshakes, one strawberry and one raspberry and white chocolate. Both were delicious . We will be back again . Thank you

What an absolute gem of a find, such a friendly, welcoming and lovely cafe. I came upon it by chance - coffee & cakes. I was waiting for a meeting so in my own, the welcome and atmosphere is so friendly and the way they treat their regular customer with genuine kindness and thoughtfulness was truly heart warming . I cannot recommend this cafe highly enough.

The food i.e. coronation chicken filling and homemade coleslaw was tasty Service very friendly and efficient. However, the coffees were luke warm.

Nellys were the venue for a business networking event. Such a lovely warm welcome. Delicious coffees and I had a homemade chocolate and mint brownie. Parking outside on the high street (if you are lucky 🍀). If not, loads of parking elsewhere.

Went with a friend today as it was highly recommended. The place was full of children screaming, banging toys and running round. Couldn’t hear ourselves think, let alone talk. We were due to eat there but ended up having the quickest cup of tea ever in order to get out of there fast. Most unrelaxing meet up with a friend ever. Won’t be rushing back there any time soon.

My wife and I visited Droitwich on Saturday February 1. We went to Nelly's for tea and coffee. We both had a piece of chocolate cake. I thought mine was sublime and the best I had ever had. They really do cater for mam and dad with children, with a play corner and excellent toilet facility. A lovely place to spend some time in. Right on trend. And of course on the historic High Street of Drioitwich.

This cafe is well presented with a small menu. Although the menu was small there were several interesting vegetarian options. People with small children will like the play area but those without small children may find the children annoying. We went there on the Saturday of Saltfest and the place was very busy. We waited ten minutes for our coffee. We may have been unlucky and that may not be the usual waiting time. The cafe is clean and sells healthy food and upmarket products. It deserves to succeed but I shall not be back because I like the smoothies at Coffee 1. Try it for yourself because Nelly's Yard has a following of satisfied customers and it might well suit you. Especially if you eat cake because the cakes looked good if you like that sort of thing.I have rated Nelly's Yard as average but it is a good average.

Ive visited Nellys Yard quite a few times now. It has quickly become my favourite place to eat lunch in Droitwich, it has a relaxed friendly atmosphere and a simple healthy menu.I love their baked potato with salad and with a number of gluten free topping options. The food is fresh and has a good healthy selection. It’s child friendly with a large play area with dressing up clothes and toys for kids but is equally a nice place to eat without kids, I’ve eaten here with my husband my mother and mother in law and we all enjoyed our visit each time. I would highly recommend it to people looking for a relaxing, friendly place to get lunch and cake.

Recently visited here with some friends and our children. I don't live in Droitwich so had a short drive to get there, but it was well worth the journey. What a wonderful cafe! Light and airy with a small "kids area." Friendly staff who go the extra mile to try to accommodate requests. Food and drink was delicious and the children's menu (for food and drink) gave some great choices. The fact that children are made so welcome is a big plus for me. All round a great cafe, a real hidden gem and we can't wait to visit again.

Good food at sensible prices (we only tried the 'tea room' fare) The best cup of coffee that I have had anywhere and a proper pot of tea (with loose tea if you chose). They support some of our quality local suppliers.

Been here a few times and when in Droitwich will be our number one spot for coffee and a teacake. There is a lovely little corner for children and our grandson really enjoys playing there. We've found the staff are always friendly and helpful and we've always enjoyed the food and coffee there. If you don't like being around children then its probably not the place for you, but if you enjoy good coffee, nice sandwiches and very nice cake then I would very much recommend this place.

I came here to have a drink with a friend and I ordered one of their milkshakes which looked delicious on their facebook page. I wasn't disappointed; it was beautiful. I loved the metal straw I think it made it that little bit different. The lady who served us was friendly and our drinks arrived promptly. It was very quiet when we came but it was lovely to see the little section for children. The place has a lot of character and charm and I'm sure I will return again soon!

We have a 6 month old baby and have struggled to find places to eat where we can truly relax and with space for our baby to play, so glad we came across this cafe it ticks all the boxes! There is a great designated play area in one corner which has foam floor tiles and a variety of toys and books so is great for babies and toddlers. The food was delicious as was the coffee. Service was good, I think the waitress was new and in training but service was still good and the guy training her ( the owner I think) was very friendly. We will definitely be back and will recommending to friends with children. Two minor suggestions for improvement- the high chairs aren't great in my opinion- ones with a tray for food are much better. Also some of the books in the play area looked a bit tired and over- chewed and could do with replacing.

We visited this cafe when our family were staying with us after Christmas. We were 5 adults and two children. We were given a great welcome and our grandchildren loved the children's play area. We had a variety of drinks and food, coffees, lattes, white hot chocolate, toasted tea cake, millionaire shortbread, scrambled egg on toast. It was all freshly prepared and cheerfully served by one man on his own, which was very impressive. We would recommend this cafe especially to families with young children .

Great place for Mums to meet up - and us pensioners too!!!

Walked in to this cafe with my son not really knowing Droitwich very well or where to go. It was a pleasure and delight to go to a cafe that is family friendly with entertainment for the children. It was also evident that the owners have thought about food and treats for children. The children’s milkshake is a must, accompanied with a selection box for lunch, my son really enjoyed it here.

A handy cafe on Droitwich High Street that also serves lunches & breakfasts. Slightly limited menu, but the baked potato that I had was lovely and crunchy on the outside and soft inside - very nice. Sandwiches were limited to white bread as the brown 'had run out' - this was at 12.45pm. Choose your chairs carefully - the assortment of chairs looks pretty but some are more wobbly than others. A sandwich, a baked potato with fillling and a coffee cost us a bit over £14. There is some parking in the street otherwise there are car parks (pay for) around the town. Find a reason to visit the toilet (which has baby changing facitilies) to admire the striking, textured flamingo wallpaper.

Park4Night recommendation. Daytime barman was chatty and friendly. Food was high quality - ribeye steak cooked perfectly rare as requested, and exceptional chocolate brownie dessert. Evening serving ladies were pleasant and accommodating. Cosy enough bar area, with a roaring fire in one room. You can eat in the bar area but there is also another large room set out in a restaurant style, and I feel that The Chequers is aiming for more of a fine dining experience than a cosy country gastropub. I would prefer the latter, especially since the prices reflect the former.
