A spacious cafe serving excellent Cortado, a fine Hot Chocolate, and superb Cherry Bakewell. And many other delicious offerings. Plenty of space and some gorgeous comfy armchairs which are very difficult to get out of! Heavenly... Hayling Seagoon

Have been to this Waterstones cafe twice recently. It's a nice place to sit and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The cafe is on the third floor, so you feel like a drink by the time you get there! (There is a lift, though, I believe.) Take your Waterstones card, if you have one. If you are unfamiliar with Brighton, you might want to buy a fold out map here. I bought one for £4.00.

Fantastic experience, even in comparison to other Waterstones bookshops. Floor after floor of books from every genre and category imaginable (including a well stocked LGBTQ+ area). On top of that: great food, elevator access, a great view from the top floor, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and a peaceful escape from the busy streets of Brighton. Overall a fantastic place, in particular the atmosphere in contrast to the turbulence of the city.

It covers quite a large space spread over five floors yet still feels cosy. I particularly like the third floor with its cafe, sporting bright and occasionally quite sexy screenprints from the local Tidy Press (this is Brighton after all). After a lunchtime concert and a splendid fish lunch where better to relax with a camomile tea and charge my I-phone (plenty of sockets available). Overall this Brighton branch is one of my all-time favourites outside London, the others being Guildford with an elegant glass walkway to a first floor cafe and Deansgate Manchester for its much grander spaces and cafe.

You will find all the books you are looking for. Staff is extremely polite and will look for the books you are searching. Nice coffee place where you can read or work with enough place. Highly recommended.

Staff are always lovely, good tea selection at affordable prices. Great place to study or read with lots of seats, charging sockets around the outside of the cafe.

This has to be the biggest Waterstones I have ever been to. Its over 5 floors or so. 2 Cafes and with every possible book sold, new and old. You will find something you like there. Offers are aplenty and I would recommend finding a book you may want to buy (or a few) and go and get a coffee from the higher floors and have a read. Its a great place to have a bit of R&R (read and reminisce). Its a great place to go for reading, coffee drinking of gazing at the pure abundance of reading material.

This was the first time I had visited the coffee shop in Waterstones in Brighton. It is situated over 2 floors (there is a lift). It was about lunch time, so it was quite busy. But service was excellent - really friendly & smiley. My coffee was nice - not too strong or bitter (which is my biggest complaint with Brighton coffee). The millionaire's shortbread was delicious, not too hard & crumbly - just right & with a bit of glitter on top! I love Waterstones, so it was great to sit amongst all the fabulous books & eat & drink. A hidden gem!

We had really good coffee served by lovely people. It was busy and spacious with the added bonus of being surrounded by wonderful art books. We will go back.

Whilst visiting Brighton we spotted this Waterstones store which has several floors and went in. The first cafe is more family friendly and they suggest that if you want a quiet place that you go upstairs to the cafe which is more suitable for adults and business people. We went up to the higher floor, there is a lift as well as stairs. It was quite busy for a Tuesday mid afternoon but we found a table. You have to order at the counter and they make your order and bring it to you, the man serving seemed a bit harassed and said he would deal with the orders and bring them over but it might take a while. We ordered breakfast tea, Earl Grey tea and a piece of cake which came to £5.20 and seemed pretty reasonable. The tea arrived and the staff member apologised again for the delay. Everything was good and the teapots yielded plenty of tea and the cake was nice and moist. You can look at books whilst you sit in the cafe and the whole place has a pretty relaxed atmosphere.

The Classic Breakfast was really good. The food was cooked fresh, hot, and very well presented. Fresh orange juice and lovely coffee & tea. The staff were very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The rest of the menu looks very interesting with a long list of available sandwiches and baguettes. Would very much recommend this cafe and will definitely return when visiting Brighton again. Thanks very much !!
