Waters Edge in Nottingham

I took my aged disabled parents for lunch here. We were trying to find a suitable table and Amanda one of the staff members, jumped in, sorted a table, got an umbrella, made sure we knew where to go with the works they were having done. The 5 star review is due to the impeccable customer service, kindness and professionalism shown by Amanda. She should be used as a bench mark, it's not often nowadays that you encounter that level of customer service. Thank you Amanda.

It was very busy due to hot weather and they appeared a bit flustered. Well positioned and accessible by foot along the canal. It was easy to order via the app at the table. The food took a long time to arrive and was OK. However, the table was so sticky that our arms stuck to it. Cutlery and some glasses were dirty so that a glass of water tasted of fruit juice.

Not gourmet food, but it doesn't pretend to be that kind of pub. Instead, you get typical pub grub such as fish and chips, burgers, beef lasagne, and so on. But well cooked, served quickly, and decent-sized helpings. Service very friendly. The kids shared a massive chocolate dessert that was meant for two but could have fed the adults as well. A good choice by us when staying at the neighbouring Premier Inn and not wanting to travel too far to eat.

Great special offers, reasonably priced. I don’t rate the food was poor quality. You place order at counter and grab a seat. Wasn’t overly clean

Tuvimos desayunos (actualmente abre a las 10 am) que eran muy sabrosos y una gama de comidas de noche que estaban bien presentados y cocinados. El personal es todo amable, alegre y enfocado al cliente, el propietario ha construido un muy buen equipo. Todo esto con buenas ofertas para niños, un área separada para adultos y un gran entorno en el canal y tienes un ganador.

While staying at a premier inn across from this pub, we met with family for an evening meal. We picked the quiz night to visit, and although we didn't take part, we enjoyed answering the questions within our group. Anyway our reason for using this pub was for its food. We all agreed that the meals we had were enjoyable. My only complaint is that No Cask ales available.

Came in as was passing and thought we'd give the place a go haven't been for well over 3 years but was pleasently surprised lovely food and staff were so friendly. Can see the place has definitely improved massively and would definitely recommend will 100% be coming back. Thanks to Laura who made us feel very welcome.

Had the Christmas dinner , lovely food each course was brought out quickly and the staff were brilliant especially the older gentleman who really couldn’t do enough for us it was a lovely afternoon and will definitely do it again soon 😬😬

Popped in for a breakfast after being at the QMC for a MRI ( couldn't eat or drink anything other than water until MRI done ) 1 traditional, 1 super both breakfast. Eggs done to a T, Hash browns not greasy, bacon not burnt over all excellent. Service was given with a smile . Taken a festive 2 or 3 course Christmas run up menu which looked amazing and will more than likely be going back before Christmas day to try the Christmas dinner around lunch time. Big round of applause Waters Edge our visit left us leaving with a smile😉👍

I visit here for a drink once or twice a week. The service and atmosphere is always very good and friendly, especially Chelsea who is excellent and the manager. It's a good place to watch sport as well.

Estábamos aquí para almorzar con mis primos. Era un buen día, así que nos sentamos en una mesa afuera junto al canal. Fue encantador ver el tráfico en el canal. La comida estaba bien, solo comida estándar del pub.

Vinimos aquí para almorzar para variar como no hemos estado en un tiempo. Fue un cambio muy agradable a nuestro lugar habitual y la comida era deliciosa. Me atendió una señora llamada Laura que no podía hacer lo suficiente por nosotros, vino y me preguntó si habíamos estado antes, preguntó si necesitábamos algo, nos mostró dónde pedir y fue muy educado. Después de que le pedimos que entregara nuestra comida tan rápido que todavía estaba humeante que estaba tan caliente. Ella volvió a preguntar si teníamos todo lo que necesitábamos y se ofreció a conseguir todo lo que habíamos olvidado (en esta ocasión solo necesitábamos mayonesa). Solo quería dejar una reseña ya que todo el tiempo nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos y atendidos : )

We came here for Father's day, a big group, meal was great and the service was brilliant. Affordable and fast to say it was a busy day. A reminder to suggest that if you drive and park in the car park, make sure that you pop your reg into the tablet on the bar to avoid a fine! A big thank you to the fantastic staff that were working today when I revisited and helped me with this issue!!

Great choice of food, fantastic service by the bar staff. Food arrived quickly and well cooked. Good choice of drinks and children menus with activities to keep the children entertained. Good little park areas for them to play on which is enclosed. Sean arrived to clean the empty plates as soon as we were finished. Great service. Good location, free parking.

We visited the Waters Edge Hungry Horse on a Tuesday afternoon just to use up some Tesco vouchers. What a pleasant surprise. Expecting the normal mass-produced restaurant food for the low prices we were paying. The food was great, good quality, hot and tasty. Well priced drinks also, and a very friendly helpful member of staff. The Pub was clean, well maintained and has a lovely ambience. We will be back.

This restaurant is a great place to venture out! whether it’s a for a business meeting, a family outing, or just a treat by yourself! I loved coming here it felt like such a nice place, the staff are amazing and so friendly!

Chose to come here for Christmas day dinner whilst staying in the area. Lovely hardworking staff members who were so efficient and helpful and really did go above and beyond especially the lovely young lady who was expecting. The food was cooked really nicely and the portions were impressive. We went to the Sherwood Hungry horse in Nottingham the year before and that was also just as good. Nice location by the water. John Smiths ale was nice on draught but a little disappointed they did not have the standard Greene King IPA as I would expect in GK house. Apparently most of their target audience is the local students who would much rather hit the lager. Nice to see a good range of draught cider though, We were so impressed we gave each member of staff a cash tip at the end ! Very understanding of my wifes additional needs and the assistance dog. 2 friends and I was asked by manager if we would like to come to the watersedge for a free Christmas diñner which was very thoughtful as we all live alone presentation was lovely and the meal was lovely I would recommend it highly thank you to the manager and staff for there kind thoughts

Party of 14 booked for Christmas day & I was a little apprehensive as I've only had a burger here a few years ago! But I must say the food was really tasty, 3 courses very nice, served hot...including a huge turkey roast! The food came out at the same time & drinks served together.(doesn't always happen when you're a large table) Our host was extremely attentive & friendly. (I think his name was Andy) the restaurant was decorated lovely & had a really festive atmosphere. I thought this was really good value for money compared to other restaurants in the area. Highly recommend 👌 Thank you, we are going to book again for next year!

Went in on a Friday evening 18.00ish very busy with only 1 seving behind the bar!!!! Orderd food which we were informed about the wait, no issue. Well worth the wait mixed grill was amazing.... That good went back on the Saturday for the breakfast again amazing food.

Filthy sticky tables welcome you when you enter this establishment. I ordered the gammon which was burnt to a cinder as was the accompanying egg. The toilets are an absolute disgrace and a no go zone.
