I genuinely can’t recommend Waterloo Fish and Chicks enough! My partner had initially ordered via Just Eat for delivery and after the order showed as delivered (and our food was missing) we checked Just Eat. To our shock we had put our address down but forgot the all important house number. To make matters worse her contact number was out of date as well. After a mad panic and scramble (and hungry stomachs) I called Waterloo F&C and was told the driver tried calling us and the food had been returned and was sitting in a bag with the hopes we would be in touch. Since we had already inconvenienced the staff, I said I would drive down and collect our food feeling bad about the ordeal. Expecting a bit of awkwardness given the circumstances, I couldn’t have been more wrong. I was greeted by a huge warm smile and to my absolute shock our order being completely remade as they didn’t want us to reheat the food/ receive food that wasn’t fresh. I’m near enough certain I’ve never ushered the words ‘thank you’ more in my life. They really went above and beyond and didn’t need to (given it was our fault), to top it all off they didn’t ask for anything in return, we even got fresh drinks as the previous ones had been in the bag with the hot food. It’s not the first time we’ve ordered from here, personally we find it to be the best chippy in the area and after this experience I will not hesitate in my go-to chippy in the future. When I got home the food was just fantastic, the fish was fresh and crispy, the chips were light and fluffy and the sauces and sides were just brilliant. I don’t often leave reviews unless I’m really impressed but this experience has really topped my leaderboard of overall service and exceeding expectation. Many thanks once again!

Visited this afternoon and was instantly welcomed with a smile , ordered the lunch time meal deal burger chips , drink & dip for £5!!! The burger was chunky and good quality and the chips was absolutely perfect golden & crispy! The food was outstanding !!! & for £5 you cannot even get a decent coffee for that nowadays never mind a hot meal and a drink , 10/10 highly recommend !!!

The best chips. Cooked in veg oil so great for me as a vegetarian. Plus they do potato scallops - massive, crunchy, greasy delights. We got lunch from there. Huge portions, friendly service and a good price. Definitely worth a visit.

Ordered online....I was in the mood for fish and chips and it's not so easy to order that for delivery however it is now. I went for the large haddock with chips and mushy peas. It was ordered via just eat app easily and arrived when stated. It was lovely. I the chips are proper chippy chips and the fish was great. If you are in the mood for a Great British traditional supper you can't go wrong here.

What fabulous food, fresh made and tasty, absolute spotlessly clean. I will not eat food from anywhere but spotless. And this place is just that. Staff were friendly and served me with a smile. I would one hundred percent recommend this chip shop, and I will be back even though I live a few miles away.

Good quality and great amount of food for just £5-ish! Taste so good to go with their Chinese salt and the house vinegar, oh so nice! So filling, so big even with “small box” I can hardly finish all in one go! Good packaging, nice and friendly shopkeepers. Can’t complain about anything! Must buy again!

Absolutely superb food, which has a wide selection which is cooked to perfection. Sundry items and sides are plentiful. Drinks are varied and are always cold. The chef and all staff are extremely polite and professional Delivery is always on time and the food is always hot and is carefully packaged All in all you simply can't go wrong.

First time visiting and I would definitely come back, the service and food were amazing, the portion sizes are great and the mushy peas were the best I've ever had from anywhere so definitely give those a try.

Highly recommended, very good food and huge portions for the price. It's one of my choices as I live in Almondsbury every time when I'm crossing Wakefield Road. That time, i had to order as I was going on a trip back in my home country. Thanks to that kind woman, I asked her for some scraps, salt, and cutlery as I didn't want to wash mine again before leaving my home! Edit: I've tried chicken bites too. Very good portion for the price, absolutely VFM! Thanks again, definitely I'm going to order again as this place is one of my regulars when I want some good fish and chips or a chicken burger!

Just ordered large fish n chips wi bits with a large tub of mushy peas, large tub of yummy coleslaw, large gravy and a buttered tea cake delivered. All came piping hot and all delicious. Big portions. More than enough for two. Fish and chips were gorgeous, white fish and light and crispy batter. Swift delivery. Definitely recommend 👍🏽 10/10

Food was gorgeous, staff were very polite and accommodating. Shop was also very clean. Amazing value for money! Had a large battered cod with chips and it could’ve easily fed two of us. My mother had a southern fried chicken wrap and it was stunning! Definitely recommend!!

Staff were great and very helpful but the fish and chips were pretty disappointing. We ordered 2 large haddocks and chips, there was far more batter than fish, the chips were soggy and everything seemed greasy. Very unlikely we will be ordering again.

The most delicious fish and chips ever!!! Honestly, you can taste the uniqueness of the batter on the fish. So light and crispy. All home made batter and you can tell. Amazing meal, the whole family loved it. Don't look any further if you're wanting local grub. Great job Ahmed with the frying tonight 💚💚💚

Wow! I rarely write reviews but had to say something about this place. Came here as Spring Grove fisheries was unexpectedly closed. Minimal expectations, but massively exceeded. Very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fish and chips. The fish batter was light and fluffy and the fish was beautifully feathery soft with no fishy taste at all. The chips were also perfectly done, possibly twice fried, crispy and delicious. Very highly recommend. 10/10.

A super high quality fish, chicken and chip shop that cooks to order with vegetable oil. Fabulously dry and crisp batter, beautifully cooked and the portions are really generous at a very competitive price. Cannot recommend highly enough. The team working there are really friendly and provide an excellent service. Delivery is for cooked to order food so it should arrive hot and fresh and ready to eat whether collected or delivered. These guys deserve to be successful as they have really thought through their product offering. Well done guys - will visit again soon.

Delivery and service was great but was let down by the food, cheesy chips was very dry and what seem to be chesse slices. The fish and chicken very dry. The sausage was great though. First time trying but unfortunately the last time

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food, we can fault the service via our order on just eat but the fish on the better was soggy, the curry sauce was more like curry water, very thin that I couldn't use, my partners mushy peas were also get thin and wasted, first and last time using these, a lot better before changing hands. I hate leaving negative reviews but this is my honest opinion. It may of just been a one off because their reviews are very positive on just eat.
