Fantastic experience, good quality food and great staff. Elfin was a fantastic waitress and couldn’t do enough for us. She was knowledgeable of the menu and was super friendly - Our drinks were topped up frequently and the service was speedy. Bottomless brunch was great and I’d come again - Thank you! My partner and I go out for lunch / dinner a few times a week and notice that staff can be quite quiet and miserable, all the staff here are so lovely and friendly. Feedback if I was being REALLY fussy 😜 would be the brownie coming with some cream or ice cream so it wasn’t as dry (great flavour though) and the calories on the menu were all wrong. Thanks team!

There was 7 of us for tea, when we got there, we were accommodated with an extra table so we all had room. Then it was 1 thing after another and the disappointments just kept coming….firstly they didn’t have enough cups and saucers for our tea, my friend who’s birthday it was had a sugar bowl to drink out of with a small side plate underneath. Then we had no teaspoons, we then had a different pot of tea that had tea leaves but wasn’t given a tea strainer had to get up and find someone to get one, then one of us asked for a glass of Pimms that came out in a small glass no fruit!! So asked for fruit to be added which was a slice of orange and dried pineapple. Then she tasted it, well it was horrible and sent it back. Then 1 staff came over and told us that it was a pimms cup, not what we asked for, so then was asked if we wanted something else, so we asked if they could make a pina colada? Was told yes. Well! We saw them make it and leave on bar!! 10 minutes later we fetched the drinks ourselves as didn’t wanna wait any longer, then that drink got sent back too as it just tasted of pineapple juice. we complained and asked all the drinks to be taken off the bill as they are not drinkable. So then we asked for a vodka with lemonade and fresh lime….but they had no lime!!!! As a named hotel brand you’d think they would have enough crockery and trained bar staff. So as for the afternoon tea most of it was edible but not worth £32……. Don’t waste you money here went there are so many great places to eat and drink in Brighton

Over 10% service charge added to bar bill even though I went to bar and buy the drinks. My colleague didn't get the same experience. Only noticed when submitting for expenses. The only 'service' was pouring the drinks. Really poor and underhand.

I have been in many bars around the world, but this was a special experience. I ordered the Old Fashioned OTR and my friend ordered the smokey Old Fashioned. Samrit, our server was spectacular. She was friendly, personable, knowledgable, courteous and accommodating. We had such a wonderful experience talking to her and enjoying our cocktails, we ordered a second. We really loved the glass ware so we inquired as the maker. Smart went out of her way, above and beyond, to locate the website so we could peruse at our leisure. All in all the drinks were incredible and the service was a 5 star. I will be back and will look for Samrit. She is an asset to your operation.

Jorge at the bar went above and beyond to make sure my child and I had a comfortable stay. We accidentally missed breakfast but he went out of his way to find us a little something to eat, and was so kind. Underwhelming and overpriced Felt like a pop up, novel idea but just gimmicky Basic set menu, we had vegetarian. Starter - a cut up tomato, 2 very dry croutons and 2 very thin slithers of manchego and a drizzle of pesto Second course was good, mushroom ravioli but small portion Third course - a tiny piece of celeriac, 6 chips and chimichurri Dessert- matcha something which was honestly horrible and by the looks of other diner’s faces and uneaten puds, it was mutual! Very basic drinks list ( no beers, sprits)which were all extra on top of £160 for 2 people!! It was just all felt like quite a flat experience maybe more aimed at kids? Much rather spend total of £180 somewhere with authentic regional cuisines and a good atmosphere Sorry Le Petit Chef, not for us

We were attending a show at Brighton Centre and wanted to have dinner before and as the weather was so bad having dinner next door to the event was a great idea. We had seen some pictures of the online, but seeing it in person did not disappoint! It was in-keeping with the age of the building whist also being modern. We were greeted by Barbara and Jorge and they were a joy. We ordered some great food which was very tasty! I would totally recommend this bar for food and they make some great cocktails here!

1890 at the Met - le petit Chef. This is an unusual event which may appear expensive but it is an immersive experience of entertainment and food which makes it good value for money. A great way to celebrate a birthday or special occasion. This would be a fine gift for someone looking for something rather different. Food was excellently cooked and served by a friendly and very competent team.

I recently attended a drag bottomless brunch at the doubletree Hilton hotel in brighton. The food was exquisite and served by the friendliest staff. The bar manager Valentina was friendly and tentative and also ensured my glass was never empty 😊 The drag show there was fantastic, highly entertaining with friendly, approachable performers. They really got everyone involved and was such a positive experience for all! I would definitely come here again!

What an awful experience! So we were staying at the hotel, and we had pre-booked dinner for 7 pm in the Metropole. We had received email confirmation and all looked great! Got dressed up ready for a date night and went downstairs to the restaurant. Firstly, we waited 10 minutes for anyone to come over to us. When they eventually did, I advise them that we had got a table booked for 7 pm. The girl looked really confused and said you can sit anywhere…… so I repeated, we have a table booked at 7 pm, obviously fully expecting our dinner table to be ready. However, nothing, and she again signalled to us to sit, wherever we wanted. So we found the only table with a view. The table was covered in dirty, glasses and crumbs. Nobody came over to clear the table. There was no table set for dinner, it was just a dirty table. Nobody came and brought us a menu or asked if we wanted to order drinks. We had to go and ask for a menu. We then sat there for another 10 minutes with no member of staff coming over to us, no table being set and no drinks offered. This was a very special date night! I think what finished it off, was then huge family party coming in with two children who were both riding scooters inside the restaurant! At that point, we just stood up and walked out! I don’t think anybody even noticed, or asked us why. Honestly shocked! To have paid so much money for the hotel for a special occasion, the reason we booked the restaurant was so we could have a drink and still be in the hotel. We had to end up walking along the seafront to find a nice restaurant to eat. Honestly, absolutely awful service cannot believe the filth on the table. Cannot believe they allow you to book dinner and don’t even know.

I ordered the Angus beef burger with skin on fries and a diet coke at the bar. The total came to £21.34 and I did not realize until I was back home that they had added a 10% service charge. I would not have objected as much to the service charge if my order had been taken at the table (we waited for 15 minutes but none of the waiters seemed interested in taking our order). The food arrived quickly but was far below the standard I expected. I have ordered similar meals at other hotel bars and the quality has been far better. It was a tired dry thin burger. It would have been a far superior experience to order a quarter pounder at McDonald's. The fries are not fries but chips (about three times the size of standard fries for American readers) and that was disappointing too as I am not a fan of chips. I would not recommend visiting the Waterhouse Bar & Terrace as it is a rip off to charge a service charge when ordering at the bar.

the interior and the overall setting is very nice and an inspiration for a drink or twoAs a guest at the hotel, I have used the bar a couple of times this week. I must admit I am disappointed. The quality of classic cocktails does simply not live up to standards and the bar staff is simply not paying attention. Yesterday I left the bar after I tried to order another drink, today, it took me 10 minutes to order and I literally needed to stand in front of the bartender to get attention. I would expect better - the layout and prices indicate a better service

I ate from the bar menu we 3 friends down from London a week last Saturday and have to say visually the bar looks great; spacious, cosy and inviting but the food was very disappointing. I had cheese burger and chips which I asked to be cooked as medium yet got well done, this I didn't mind too much but for the cost at £16 it looked very basic on the plate, no salad garnish or coleslaw etc, and tasted dry and uninteresting. My friends said their meals were equally unappetising and I was embarrassed that one on Brighton's iconic hotels could serve such mediocre food. Shame on you Hilton for bringing down such a land mark hotel.

This is a lovely hotel bar with spacious banquettes and regular tables. The atmosphere is very calm and it is a lovely spot to have a night cap. The only down side is the cost - over £8 for a 175ml white wine, although it was of good quality.

I was having a couple of days in Brighton with a friend, who has taken tea in many different venues, it was my first time, but having looked at their delicious and inviting menu, we booked for "tea by the sea" which apparently included - Shoreham crab, coriander and chilli filo parcel,Mini Hailsham lamb burger with tomato salsa,Roast forerib of beef with fresh horesradish cream on white bread, Slipcote cheese, cucumber on granary bread, Wild mushroom, parmesan and truffle oil quiche, and a selection of cakes. We booked with reception for 3.30 the following day. On arrival at 3.30 we had to search out a member of staff, and were shown to a reserved table by a waitress who was confused and giggly, and asked if we would "like our tea now" we'd booked for 3.30, so I would have thought that was obvious? tea arrived, but by 3.50 there was still no sign of the delicious sandwich/ cake selection, and the silly glass teapots meant that the tea was now cold.... managed to flag down a waiter, as the waitress had disappeared, he was very apologetic, and offered us a glass of Prosecco by way of apology, this became a glass of champagne, as the Prosecco was flat. The Afternoon Tea arrived 5 minutes later - well what a disappointment. It was presented on a GRUBBY (smear marks all over it) and OLD (veneer was starting to lift, you could see white edges) melamine pidgeon hole structure... and the sandwiches were 2 x triangles beef and horseradish, and 2 x triangles of cream cheese and cucumber. No other savouries, and hardly the selection in the menu! We assumed we had accidentally been given a cheaper item on the menu, probably due to the dopey waitress that had been our initial contact. The cakes were fresh and delicious and as per the menu, minus one. The waiter came over to ask if all was ok, and we had to say Not really, due to the boring sandwiches, he again apologised, and did offer us more sandwiches, but by this time we had nearly finished, and didn't want more to eat. We were given 10% off our bill at the end, but all in all this was a very disappointing experience, and not what you would expect from the Hilton brand. This would put me off eating in the restaurant, and I would NOT recommend their afternoon tea to anyone. From reading other reviews, I see I am not the only one to have had this experience.

We were walking along Kings Road looking for a bar and surprisingly there were very few. So we stopped here, and were glad we did. Inside was a typical hotel nice bar, quiet, posh, good service and slightly overpriced. We sat outside and stared at the sea. Beautiful! It suddenly started raining heavily with thunder and lightening so we huddled round a heater that had a parasol over it. So even if it is raining the terrace is a really nice place to sit. It's also further away from the pier than some other bars so a bit quieter, which was nice. The terrace isn't huge, but we were there about 3 and there was no problem getting a seat

Went with crowd from work for Xmas party. Felt like cattle herded into the ballroom come dining room. Food was bland and tto my mind not enough for the price paid. Waiting for taxis to take us home after our night we were rudely told by a bouncer to "[--] off out of the hotel as we were not paying guests". He even forcibly pushed a female colleague who admittedly did not hold her tongue back after bring treated so appallingly. This ape wanted and expected us to stand outside in sub zero temperatures whilst wearing party dresses. We had no choice but to do so and should have complained to the manager more vociferously but we all genuinely felt intimidated Never ever again.

Sharon was downright rude and is clearly in the wrong job. The rest of the staff were more interested in chatting to each other. oh dear - could easily be so much better with some proper supervision.

THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS ON THE SOUTH COAST easily . Been using these for over a year . And you think a seaside town would have loads of good fish and chips , wrong , lived here for 20 years . Good chippie is hard to find , but wow guys and gals try this anything on the menu is banging and the chips are so nice you won’t be disappointed . It’s like a closely guarded secret for locals only . Great value as well , and always delivered hot . The box meals great value , large chips is enough for me and my wife , the fish is just epic :) Thanks fillets chippie ,( it’s Jon from heron court )

Tenga mucho cuidado con este servicio de catering. Reservamos esto para una despedida de soltera, que posteriormente fue cancelada por el anfitrión (debido a causas ajenas a ella). El reembolso se ofreció inicialmente, pero en cambio acordamos que lo reorganizaríamos para el año siguiente (debido a la pandemia de covid 19) y ella se quedaría con el dinero hasta entonces.Intentamos reorganizarlo en cuatro ocasiones distintas, pero no pudimos reservar con ella ya que estaba completamente reservada para 2021.Pagamos el 50% del depósito final (500), y nos ofrecieron la mitad de esto, ¡aunque ni siquiera había una fecha reservada y NO se proporcionó servicio! ! El recibo dice "no reembolsable", pero tenga en cuenta que no hay términos y condiciones adjuntos que sean sospechosos. Después de unas semanas extremadamente estresantes, logramos recuperar el 85%. Entonces, el 15% de nuestro dinero se gastó literalmente en nada. Los correos electrónicos que recibimos fueron extremadamente groseros, argumentativos y hostiles. Tenga cuidado al reservar con esta empresa.

I was at this venue for a friends wedding and I immediately saw why they chose it. The venue has some fantastic views overlooking the harbour. The food was exquisite and the bar staff were excellent, very down to earth and had a bit of banter where appropriate. Sasha who was making the cocktails knows her stuff... Every cocktail I had was delicious and it was always service with a smile. Highly recommend.

Easy tiger serves Indian food within the Hampton pub . It is a good sized pub , the menu is very limited however the food is really good . I had beef biriyani and my friend had chicken curry . All lovely . Good sized portions . Would recommend . Fast service and friendly place
