Was getting hungry in Southport so went into Waterfield's for a snack. Tried the Lancashire pasty which was ok. Pastry was a bit thick and soft and filling was a bit salty. A bit pricey at close to £2!

This place does the best sandwiches we've had. Chicken and stuffing, fresh white bread, Chinese, onion, salad and mayo. The hot food is great too. Try the flake cakes, we buy some to take home as treat.

Visited again this week, sauasage rolls not up to standard expected a bit over cooked, hisever bread we bought was very nice, cakes looked very nice also but didn’t try them today. Pies looked nicer than sausage rolls but just wanted a quick bite to eat.

Visited last week, ordered sausage rolls, they were piping hot , freshly cooked and tasty at 2 for a pound great value. They also had a variety of pastries for sale all looked good. Just a point for buyers of sausage rolls they were a little peppery!!, but ok Also on sale were cakes, sandwiches, birthday cakes, jacket potatoes with a selection of fillings.

Avoid - Poor customer service & restaurant experiences. Unprofessional, disorganised & disrespectful. 1st visit - Three wrong mains given at a 70th celebration as well as wrongly cooked steaks. Staff were smoking on the viewing platform. 2nd visit - No warning/ communication that restaurant was shut on our Valentine's Day booking. First Valentine's with partner so l booked well in advance, spent a fortune on taxis and took time off work to be there on time; just for us to arrive and it to be shut. Had received a confirmation text 2 days prior but on arrival found out it was shut and the restaurant hadn't had the decency to inform us it would be closed. Ridiculous...how do they expect anyone to get a booking at another restaurant for Valentine's Day at dinner time!? Unfortunately there were other couples arriving in the same predicament. Contacted them numerous times on numerous platforms and have not been contacted back. Absolutely awful way to treat customers and multiple bad experiences.

Went for a family lunch and had quite average food at an above average price. I was very unhappy about being told "I really must sort the track and trace thing" when I asked if they wanted my details.

Was in town from Nottingham to help with some arrangements for an upcoming event. It's unfortunate that there was a mixup with our food as I had high hopes this place would shine. It's a lovely place, wasn't too busy and friendly staff. Ample parking and convient right next to the railway station.
