Came with partner as we needed a bite to eat. Quick service and helpful staff. Food was really quick to come and was great quality. Will definitely be coming back again

I went to this place for dessert- if you go up the stairs inside there is a room devoted to dessert on your left. I had green tea shaved ice with red beans, mochi and more- I haven't had flavours like that since I used to live in Japan. The quality of everything was excellent and the portion was enormous. The lady serving was really friendly and explained the dishes to me. There are so many things I'd like to go back and try- if I lived in Manchester I think this would be my go-to place for dessert.

I wanted to have a quick meal so i hoped in. The staff was friendly and tentative. The prices are quite good in comparison with other franchise sushi restaurants and the food is really good.

What did I like about the place is reasonable prices and salmon. Udon was nice and flavourful. However, the service there is worse than bad. They overcharged me telling me I ordered 6 plates of sushi (taken from the belt) where in reality I only had 5. I argued with them for a few minutes telling them I don't have a reason to lie, it's only £2 difference. But I guess they don't have a clue about "the client is always right". I ended up paying those £2 just because I didn't want to get into trouble. It also pissed me off how they acted all stupid and innocent and pretended to not speak English well just so they wouldn't have to argue with me. Pathetic. Food is good, but service is terrible. I wouldn't recommend going there unless you wanna pay extra for stuff you didn't even eat :/

Visited alone, plenty of space at the conveyor bar, 2130hrs on St Patricks night.. Wondered how it would be, as previously, it was a little bit dry with not much selection.Had no trouble finding a lovely dish, all 6 of 6, from the array as it passed by. The last I took, a very lovely mackerel piece was worth the visit...delish. My waitress was atttentive and ! every staff member I passed, as I left, said 'goodnight' or 'thankyou'. My first review of this local place here, Wasabi has improved since I was last there!

When I got in, staff just took us to our seat with no emotion and it felt like they hated working there. Went to order the food, we changed our minds on one of the sets we were going to order and the waitress made a huge sigh numerous times which I felt was incredibly rude. Furthermore, I went to order sushi as it wasn't on the conveyor belt, when the sushi came the waiter just placed it on my left without saying anything, it took me a few minutes to realise the sushi was ours as there was no one else sitting near us. Food was okay, for a cheap priced restaurant it is indeed worth it The only person with life was the worker at the till who gave us a smile and was friendly and a different waitress who said thanks as we left the restaurant. Please, fix your waiter's attitudes please, won't be coming here again because the impression the waiters left made me feel unwelcome.

For about £10 you get a hit main with three additional plates of sushi, that's a real good deal! Plus flavours are quite authentic! Tip: go there once they open at 12! Tables fill up real fast.

Before the Wasabi chain made changes last year, I would easily have rated it 5 stars but now they have limited their menu and made it more expensive. I'm not sure if the changes were good but the place still offers good quality Sushi and a la carte menu for a reasonable price compare to other Sushi restaurants out there. I hope they can further adapt their menu asap!

This is part of a small chain (3) restaurants in Manchester serving sushi and other Japanese food. We have visited the Hulme St branch several times at lunchtime and it has always been very busy. The food is particularly good value at lunchtime with a number of special deals on offer. Food is very good if not exceptional. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Booked in with my partner a few days before as we expected it to be busy on a December Friday evening. Took our reservation easily and with no issue. Arrived at our time and a table was set up for us and we were guided. Staff are very helpful and explain the menu system and various options that can be chosen. Variety of dishes is excellent and very comparable to genuine sushi and noodle bars found in Japan. The belt has a constant good variety passing by and the menu food is served quickly and without fuss. Miso soup is excellent and pork katsu curry is portioned perfectly. Atmosphere is very civil and polite with no excessive noise or disturbances, leaving a nice level of sound for talking between each other.

I went there a couple of weeks ago and ordered a Chicken Curry Katsu. I've asked for the Curry sauce to be served separately as I've a 4 year old boy. The waitress said "they don't do that". I've explained that it was for my son who really like Chicken Katsu but cannot eat spicy curry sauce. She then ask to her manager but to my surprise he also refused our reasonable request. Its not as if they cook everything together. I saw the chef pour the curry on top of the food right at the end. That could have easily been poured into separate bowl. Wouldn't be going there again and wouldn't recommend it to family. Inconsiderate and unreasonable.

Wasabi has to be one of the better sushi bars I've eaten in Manchester. The sushis were nicely made, with a good selection of raw and cooked ones. Ramen is also great tasting, and the broth is quite authentic, similar to the other ramen stores...

Selling pork with the logo of a halal restaurant is simply blasphemy to the faithful, even the rice is laced with hair!!!! Why is no one speaking out about this? Allah will punish you.

I didn’t eat in but the establishment looked very clean, nice and tidy! The girl that served me was so so so sweet, I asked her for her suggestion / favourite meal & if she could make it exactly how she would eat it (as a fellow hospo worker, I often hate these questions so I was prepared for any reaction) and she made it with a smile!! I’m sorry I didn’t get your name but you’re a credit to the team! & Thanks for the katsu-teriyaki salmon bowl lol xx
