It’s a great place but probably not for me as I find the proportional of rice it way too much to the portion of the fish or meat. And having to pay extra for sashimi is such a misleading concept of a buffet sushi. It would be a great place to eat if you like rice a lot but for me it wasn’t as enjoyable as all I could taste was rice. Also bring your own wasabi was it was probably very old and all the favour had left to heaven.

Excellent. Great food and great service. The decor is lovely, they've really made an effort. The order at your table via a tablet is a wonderful (and dangerous) method. Certainly the best all you can eat buffet I've been to. Update: With the cost of energy sky rocketing it can be seen in the increase in price and the much thinner cut fish, the tuna in particular was not cut well, I had nigri that was 4 shavings of tuna on a mound of rice. They now have a robot server Update: which now seems to access much of the ground floor area. It signs happy birthday too. It's quite adorable. Update: My rating drop from 5 to 4 is due to major disappointment when I ordered the tea. It used to be loose-leaf in a pot but now is a teabag in a cup. I appreciate that costs of things affect what they can serve but this quality drop is a shame, I think it would have been better to add an option so the customer can choose the cheap tea cup or the superior loose leaf teapot. I'll never drink jasmine tea from a teabag.

Went here for dinner on a Friday night. Was really busy at 8:30 but we were able to get a table for 3. The decor was bright and eye-catching. The seating in the booth area feels outdated. We were allowed to start with a drink and 5 dishes per person. Cocktails and some dishes are additional charges. The dessert bar was buffet style. So you could go up at any time and self-serve. Food came out as they were prepared. So, once you place an order. Be mindful that all of it isn't coming out in one go. Some of the dishes were hit/ missed. High points for sushi rolls. Low points for squid rings (salty). Also, be mindful of additional charges for food wastage.

My partner and I ate hear last night and had an amazing time, the food was fantastic, served to you using little robots which was a cool experience. The choices on offer were great and would cater to near all diets, even the pickiest of eaters could find value there. The staff were all super friendly and the total bill was really reasonable. They add a 10% optional service charge but they earned it without a doubt. The food is ordered via app so you can get 5 plates, per person, every 10 minutes. Food came out really quickly so there was hardly ever a time we had to wait for more goodies to arrive. I really wouldn't be able to find a fault with our trip last night. We'll definitely be coming back in future to try some things we didn't get a chance too this time! Highly recommended!!

The experience was quite interesting, having a robot get the food to the table, the food came out pretty quick. However, the food is quite distinctive, some items on the menu are better than others, you just need to try a bit of everything to see what you like. The only downside I had was with the service, the waiters / hosts were friendly but it’s the system. Upon entering you are given a tablet to order your food / call the waiter etc, there is a button which requests for table to be cleaned, now we did click it after we had finished our starters but there was no one coming up to our table around 10 minutes later one of the members of staff came up to our table with a long list of papers that had printed which said we called the waiter multiple times, although we clicked the button once.

We were greeted promptly by the gentleman host who sat us down and explained very straightforwardly how the ordering system works. The robot waiters delivered our food quickly, all of the many dishes we ordered were tasty and the hot dishes arrived still hot. (Human) staff kept on top of clearing the tables and were super friendly. The gent on the bar was fast serving drinks to the table with a smile. The host who first greeted us also saw us out, he was really friendly too and had good banter :) My mum and I have both had a really positive experience and enjoyed every minute even if we did stuff our faces until we couldn’t eat anymore and now we’re double in size haha. We’ll definitely be back and will tell our friends about this place

Came here with a large group of friends for lunch. The restaurant was not prepared to serve a party of 9 people and had to serve most of the dishes via the staff too. The food was OK but I wasn't expecting exceptional food for a robot buffet. Not all the food I ordered turned up so I didn't get to try everything I wanted. When it came to paying, the service was rubbish. A lady with short curly hair (didn't get her name) started taking payments as we were paying individually, then she disappeared knowing that she hadn't taken everybody's payments. She was hanging out at the bar and I approached her, asked her if she could take the other payments. She looked annoyed and said that I had to add up my own bill which she could have easily helped with as I had only ordered 2 soft drinks with the meals for me and my daughter. I asked her if she knew the prices of the soft drinks, she said "no". So I added it up and told her how much I needed to pay. She said that there would be a service charge. I told her to take it off. She was a shocking waitress and definitely wasn't happy to be there! 2 star because the decor is lovely.

Food was delicious. Small selection on pudding side but I went for food not sweets. Service and timing from staff are excellent. Only noticed change's since last time I visited Shakira the cleaning side needed more attention, in general are clean but corners and wals need good wiping, stars are sticking to your shoes then you going up to toilets. In the toilet hand dryer was out of order but there was no alternative to dry your hand, you needed to go back to the toilet cabinet and dry hands with toilet paper.

I absolutely love Sakura. I am from America and have traveled extensively to different parts of the world and this is my favorite spot of every place I’ve ever been. Rachel and the other staff has always been so amazing and wonderful to us. Even though I’m from the US, they have always known who I am when I come in. Every time I visit the UK, it is always my top priority to come here. Today we are running late due to numerous problems that happened and they accommodated us and stayed open late for us with no complaints. Thank you Sakura for endless perfect service. 💕

Went to this restaurant for my birthday and was absolutely disgusted, you could get better sushi from Tesco and wish I had done as it would have been a lot cheaper. The robot service was the only good thing about this restaurant thought I think it may have just been done so you can’t complain as easily. Food tasted old, artificial, over processed and honestly don’t even know how to describe how bad it was. Left feeling sick and throwing up and didn’t even bother with deserts. I wouldn’t recommend coming here to anyone no wonder I was recommended to go to m8 hotpot next door and not here!!!

Food came out almost instantaniously after ordering through a tablet, the robot waiters were cute but thats about all that is good here. Seaweed on the sushi is clearly some plastic alternative, ordered a cheese and salmon sushi that came woth burnt american style cheese, most food was either undercooked or overcooked, my girlfriend has thrown up after eating food possibly from the taste alone. Meat was chewy and processed, rice was clearly microwaved or reheated, the only reason i ate as much as i could was due to the clause about food being wasted and charged for. Toilets were filthy and clearly not cleaned. Due to the standard i have reported them to the council asking for a health and safety review. Absolutely awful despite apperences. All reviews are 5 stars or 1 stars clearly suggesting they are buying or faking reviews on google as well. DO NOT EAT HERE you will be dissapointed and possibly unwell after doing so.

Went here for my birthday meal on entrance we was stood there for a while (it was empty and then the waiter didn’t really say much after waiting for so long and took us to the table) all the staff looked really sad except for the robot waiters (this was the best part). The best sushi was the spicy chicken one as it was the only one with flavour. The soup was absolutely awful and smelt really bad. The tempura chicken wasn’t really tempura and was just boiled chicken that smelt awful. The waiter that came to clear the table had a strange atmosphere and seemed really moody and it made us feel a little weird to order more. We were there for under an hour and left. The desserts were really dry they looked like they could have been good otherwise. The ice cream tubs were really good though. We don’t drink alcohol and got a 1/2 pint pineapple juice which was like water and syrup really don’t recommend the juice. The bill was £71 for 2 people and 2 1/2 pint pineapple juice. Which is really not worth it. The place looks so nice and the robots are really cool but the smell in there, the drinks and the taste and quality of food as well as the staff needs to be improved as there are similar places nearby which have better quality and are cheaper. If it wasn’t for the robots and the scenery then I don’t think people would come here. The sushi is not flavoured or fresh and there are no sauces except soy. Pros: - all you can eat - Bubblegum ice cream -robot waiters -beautiful scenery -fast service -minimal interaction with humans Cons: -smelly -expensive -quality of food -drinks -dry desserts -no sauces

Really friendly, welcoming atmosphere with attentive staff and an all you can eat menu for a 2 hour window from arrival. There are several cute robot servers too, which ferry trays of food and drinks back and forth. They add some real charm and fun to the experience, and although they do not always come to your table, you do get to see them regularly moving around the restaurant. The food and drink all arrived quickly and were of a very high standard, well presented and tasty. The only complaint would be that some items are not included on the all you can eat menu, but weren't clearly marked as such on the menu, so we had a surprise when the bill came. All in all I would recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back again. Thank you for looking after us Sakura!

The fish fillets in all the sushi are too thin, and diners can only expect to be filled with sushi rice. Both the warship and the hand-rolled seaweed were too moist, not to mention brittle and impossible to bite. The meat quality of duck, chicken, beef, shrimp, cuttlefish, etc. is not bad, at least they are all biteable and swallowable, and the portion size of each plate is acceptable, but the taste is not delicious. It's not that it tastes bad, it just doesn't taste good, and it's acceptable enough not to turn against Taiwan and leave. The soup and udon were bland and not up to standard. The only desserts available are puffs and Japanese cheesecake, which are pretty good; cup ice cream is acceptable... canned pears/peaches/pineapples are normal... The fruity honeydew melons are bland and tasteless, and the rinds are cut too thin, causing them to be old every time. The flesh of the melon is so hard that it can cause stomach ache. It is common to charge extra for drinks. We entered as a family of three (only adding one drink for our daughter). At a price of £34.5 per person, it is definitely not worth it for the quality of the food and the extra charge for fish and fish. The Japanese food we had in London was cheaper and of much higher quality than this one. Don’t forget, the rent in London is much higher than here. *Staff service attitude is good *Environment and place are quite clean and managed by management *It’s just that the food quality is poor

Food quality and quantity has definitely gone downhill since its opening a few years ago. We used to go every year and it's been worse as time went on. Food used to be served pretty quickly and the plates were definitely bigger back then. I understand that there's inflation but to charge us alot more than it used to be and giving us a lot less that what it used to be is a joke. The salt and pepper prawns image on the ordering ipad looked big but when it came there were only 2 prawns. Took them 10 minutes to put 2 prawns into a bowl and came out cold showed that they had been sitting there for ages before it was served. The desserts were presented looking like they're supposed to be tasty, but don't be fooled, they are very dry and plastic and artifical like. Seems very cheap and been put out for days. Very disappointed with the experience so will probably avoid from now on... £100 for 2 adults and 2 children is absurd for the quality of food you get. Only good side is the interior design which looks very Japanese and toilets were clean.

A nice fusion of Japanese style restaurants with some halal options as well. Booking in advance is not required but ensures you don't have to wait too much to get seated. There is plenty of parking outside the restaurant and it is free as well. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere from the entrance to the upper level building where toilets are located it is very well decorated with Japanese themed buildings. The food is amazing although the sizes of the portions are small. The sushi is of a nice quality and the teppenyaki items are served hot. You have a tablet where you can order 10 items at the beginning and then a round of 5 items each time. The maximum number of items you can order is 5 , and there is a gap of 300/400 seconds between one round and another. This combination makes the menu a la carte rather than a buffet, especially when there is a round count on the number of how many rounds you can order. The size of the plates/dishes make it quite easy to come to order even 3/4 rounds per person. The selection of the food seems to be limited and after a quick skim the number of items to be ordered are easy to remember. The chicken teppenyaki wasn't really good , cold and of a strong tangy smell, beside this item all the others were really good. The drinks are not included in the price, and are slightly more expensive than the market , but they are nice, there is a limited selection of the mocktails as well. The toilet is on the first floor and I think there are adjustments for accessibility needs as well. The service is great, especially the robots make the whole experience better, and you don't need to wait too much to be served once placed an order.

Interior of the shop is welcoming, the staff are friendly and will guide you to your seat and explain to you how the place operates, it is very simple and not hard to understand. I came here with 3 others and was seated swiftly, the food was amazing and the server robot is so cool. Overall I would come here again, you can tell the dishes are made with high quality ingredients, and cooked with care as all the dishes were delicious. Definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area.

She loves the sushi from here so much!❤️ They played ( the cute robot) a song on the system and brought out a cute little plate with a piece of dessert with a candle and "happy birthday" written on the plate. Our experience was excellent and we can't wait to return. Great place, the staff is very friendly and helpful, free parking, tables are well spaced so you are dining with some privacy. The food is good, but rather than the all-you-can-eat buffet, I'd rather try the menu, it might prove a better option.

A pretty interesting and fun experience, my daughter loved the robot with the cat face delivering the food that you ordered straight to your table. At first, it was pretty daunting as we were given instructions how to used the tablet to order the food , I couldn't hear half of the Information given to me bit it was easy enough to figure out and then start ordering. The food was really good and you can order as much as you like ( as long as you finish it and do not waste it , so we were kept being told ) my only negative is that the selection of food for a buffet was a bit limited and the dessert station was limited compared to their direct competitors ( no ice cream machine , no jelly , no chocolate fountain etc , all the things that kids love the most. Anyway I loved it despite of what I said , food was tasty but maybe a bit pricey ( £29.95 on a Saturday) for what it is But hey this is just my opinion

Very poor quality food. The sashimi that you need to pay for per order left an oily layer on the tongue with each bite. The quality of the sushi was overall very poor. I would not recommend. We spent £80 and barely ate anything because everything was so oily. I also left with a lingering aftertaste of old fried oil.

I've changed my review after my second visit. The waiter gave us strict instructions we must finish all the food .Otherwise we will be charged extra for food waste. Then proceed to lecture us on the environment impact of waste. It's obviously because its all you can eat and a cost issue. On the second visit I found the food bland,under cooked and cold. The atmosphere also had changed for the worst. Almost not welcomed.

Visited sakura before and our family loved it, visited it today again and it was total disappointment. The first 25 minutes went great when food was being dispensed quickly and after that we waited 30 minutes and ordered 3 times to have food sent out but nothing was sent, kids and me lost our appetite after so long wait. When we spoke to the manager, instead of doing something about it or even atleast trying to compensate for it(specially when it was my son's birthday) he was adamant that your order was sent 😂 😂 we told him million times that the order went but nothing came out. No food was dispensed. Anyway since he was not willing to understand, we left heart broken and my birthday boy very unhappy.

On arrival no one was there to greet us (party of two). Walked in a little bit further and was ushered to a booth table. Place was decorated incredibly, so we had high hopes. We were sat and handed a tablet. Man advised us how to use it in a cold “can’t be bothered” manner. He reiterated at least 5 times that food wastage would be charged. This made it feel as though we were doing wrong before even beginning to eat. He walked away and no one ever once came to check on our table. Plates were not being cleared so we ended up putting our dirty dishes back on the robot to clear our table. The food was disgusting. Main focus on “deep fried dishes”. Hardly any fresh food. The sushi was stingy with the fish. Weird smell. Fried dishes were dry and oil 100% needed changing. Teppanyaki was odd. Stale prawns, chewy meet, lamb chop dry, and the duck breast mainly fat (please see picture below). Honestly would not come back here. Very expensive for what it is. Our bill for 2 came to 66.something (2 for eating and 1 drink each). The bill was brought over and the full total was 77.something. Meaning they added an 18% service charge. Honestly unsure why this was added given you have minimal contact with human staff and a robot brings your food. I requested that this is to be taken off as I refuse to pay for poor service and food. Watch out for that extra charge. Not even 10% and whole 18%. This is not America. You cannot add money onto a bill whereby the service is poor and the food is frozen from Iceland. Would not recommend.

Hands down our favorite resturant. Food is amazing. Raj takes good care of us every time. A bit pricey but worth it, especially if you are celebrating. We had had quite a few birthdays here. Could do with an upholstery update on the couches as they are wearing off and tiramisu can be dry sometimes. Overall a must visit. Absolutely love it.

Food quality not up to a good standard. The technology and all is great but if the food doesn’t match up, what’s the point. I think quality of the food needs to be raised. Lack of flavour. Lack of quality meats. Dessert and other menu options need to keep up with the times. Some outdated stuff. Work on temperature do the food because a lot of food was barely warm. Good atmosphere.

We have been here many times before and always happy with food and service. I'm giving 4 starts only on the base of previous experience otherwise it would be 2. Yesterday was shocking. I understand was busy as was Mothers Day, but waiting for sushi 1 hour from first order wasn't what we expected. If this was my first visit I wouldn't come back. All you can eat turned to wait till it's ready as, that's what we have been told, when we asked after 40min how long more it will take, by the senior weitre who works there for very long time, probably manager. We had time slot 2 hours, but no food came out first hour just one soup and chicken wings. When sushi came it didn't really look nice at all. But luckily tasted nice and at the end we left not hungry. Suggestion, if you are expecting busy day hire more kitchen staff or let customers know they will be waiting for food longer than ussual and don't give 2 hours slot. Mothers Day experience wasn't worth the money we spend.

The food is outstanding. There's a great selection for difference tastes. I'm not a seafood eater but there's still plenty on offer, even for kids. This place is ideal for a big family gathering or even a work event. The service is quick - everything comes out piping hot and well put together. We always look forward your going. My only issue is the value for children under 10. The price is £15 for 4-10 year olds. So with a couple of drinks you're looking at £40 for 2 young children. My 2 kids (4 & 8) love their food but there is just no way they are eating enough just justify that cost. Consider in comparison to Bem Brasil where kids under 9 eat free (£15 for 9-11yr olds) and adults are paying £35. I think a pricing structure more in line with this would be more inviting to families with young children.

The girl that served me was so so so sweet, I asked her for her suggestion / favourite meal & if she could make it exactly how she would eat it (as a fellow hospo worker, I often hate these questions so I was prepared for any reaction) and she made it with a smile!!
