Nudo in Manchester

I didn’t eat in but the establishment looked very clean, nice and tidy! The girl that served me was so so so sweet, I asked her for her suggestion / favourite meal & if she could make it exactly how she would eat it (as a fellow hospo worker, I often hate these questions so I was prepared for any reaction) and she made it with a smile!! I’m sorry I didn’t get your name but you’re a credit to the team! & Thanks for the katsu-teriyaki salmon bowl lol xx

Used to be good but in recent years they keep the sushi too long and the rice is hard and inedible

Honestly depends on what time you go, if you go early in the day/ lunch time it's fresh and pretty good. I would also advise double checking the dates on the boxes as if it has that days date it wont be fresh. On the plus side I think the is the only sushi place I've been to that does reduced prices when it's got a day left on it.

11£ for a microwaved slice of chicken, with a ton of rice and literally 15 edamame beans and a bit of soy sprouts. Very upsetting. I also had a salmon onigiri which was average. The place however is clean and tidy and service was ok.

Food was okay but when I visited at the end of the day, there was very few items to choose from. Atmosphere wasn’t the best as it was dark, quiet and not very welcoming.

£17.24 for a box of sushi and a 1/2 off avocado roll! What a ripoff. Sushi was dry and rice a bit hard. Very disappointed. Sushi should be served at room temperature. Okay this sushi was cold and a bit old perhaps. It wasn’t good. Nice enough environment to eat in but terrible food. There should be a machine that lightly steams sushi to bring it to room temperature and moisturise it just a tiny bit. Then it would’ve been delicious. If I had paid half what I paid it would’ve been okay, but for the price I’ll never be back here again.

I have visited Nudo couple of times already and it was always fresh but sometimes they have limited options and the shelves are empty. I am giving 3 starts as they accept student discount (10%) but only if you pay with cash?! Also be aware which payment method you use as they don’t accept all cards either.

The place was completely empty and now I know why, absolutely awful quality especially considering the price, it’s not fresh whatsoever. I’ve never tasted sushi so bad I had to spit it out. Please save your tastebuds and go to Ikkan across the road for sushi

Flavourful, colourful, and rice was made with the perfect acidity level and sticky texture!

Disappointed in dramatic change here. Prices have gone up but the sushi quality has gone way down. Used to my go to for a decent lunchtime sushi when at work in Manchester but the sushi tastes like it's made the night before at best. Hard, grainy rice that tastes soapy, fish doesn't look too fresh either, the cuts are ragged and falling apart. Used to be so moist and tasty. Wasabi is very weak too. Bought an extra pot and even with the included wasabi can barely taste anything. Shoddy. Won't be back. Pretty sure that doesn't look like konjac salad in that pot either...

I have visited a few nudo sushi and they all offer different options as it depends on the location of the shop. Every nudo that I have visited do offer an a number of different sushi such as chicken, vegetables and others. The is a take out option or a seat in but if you seat in you will pay extra.

Food better quality that other nudos and the staff are always so lovely.

Love their vegetable katsu curry. Would be enough for two people. Price is slightly steep but if you are taking it home then worth the money. I had to throw half of mine as it was for lunch and I was at work :( Would 100% recommend

I got the yakisoba when I was in town by myself. It was delicious with tofu, edamame, bean sprouts, vegetables and noodles. So delicious! Will come back!

Prices have increased by 14% in April and food quality has really deteriorated - Food seems days old, hard rice, rubbery chicken and found 2 hairs in my sushi today

Have been a loyal customer. Food is very good although the recent price rises on April the 1st are ridiculous. Now there are much better places to go for the price.

Horrible sushi. Rice is clumpy and hard. You could just get aldi sushi instead.

Had a wander round China Town and was hungry. Don't like Chinese food though. Found this place n bought a sweet chilli chicken dish to take out. It was very nive and hopefully visit again sometime

I orderesd online for a bretter selection. My food was bagged and ready in a separate fridge when I got there. Prices are very reasonable. It tastes great. Roadside parking if you set your sat nav for the carpark the building is part of.

Sushi was a bit stale and uninteresting compared to other sushi places. Will likely give it another go one day.

The katsu chicken curry was nice, sushi was ok, no wow factor but a convenient and handy takeaway when you don’t want to cook, rice box portion was quite big which can fill you up, price is reasonable, I would definitely buy again. Staff was friendly.

The rice was not fresh, which spoilt the taste of the sushi. Would not recommend.

If you want a quick sushi fix. This the place. Wouldn't happily pay a little more and get top quality sushi on the go.

A place that knows what it is and does it well. A good shop/restaurant to come to for a healthier takeaway lunch with lots of fresh sushi options and even some hot dishes. Plenty of seating too

Perfection. The main Not overly seasoned just right. Will definitely be ordering again in future. The authenticity was impressive. Order Yakisobi with Tofu & Veggie Gyoza set plus Veggie Sushi Set box and Chili oil and extra wasabi came in useful. Very filling fresh and enjoyable. Also, order was delivered on time. Best sushi in town. My favourite place from already 3 years. Never had any problems. Delicious food, nice atmosphere, and always warm welcoming from ppl working there.

We got 2 sushi boxes, green and yellow. Both were delicious and lovely. Satisfied with our sushi bento. The best part was we got free fried soba with each sushi box. Recommended!

The prices are pretty reasonable and the food is decent for the cost. Much nicer than supermarket sushi and there's not much difference in the cost, no brainer. I used to regularly visit before I moved jobs and it was ideal for lunch. Plus there is plenty of choice.

Food is lovely and I have no problems however staff are ignorant, arrogant and rude and I will not be returning again.

Everything is so expensive and I get that, it just didn’t hit a level of taste that I can forgive the cost. If it’s expensive and good I will buy it, it just didn’t hit that good of a level (I had the vegan box that was something like £7 rounded up.)

Lovely small sushi boutique to dine in on a busy day, got sth half price closed to the closing time as well. Two days in a row this week. Love the sushi sandwich.

Amazinggg sushi! Definitely recommend.

Great variety of sushi, noodles and rice at a reasonable price. They do have a few different types of bubble milk tea which taste surprisingly good. It has a busy canteen-like atmosphere with lots of students and office workers visiting the place for a quick lunch.

Not the best sushi but for the price given it’s quite decent.

If you're craving for Sushi or Sashimi but do not have the time to sit in a fancy restaurant, then this is the place for you. This is a better option than the abomination offered by the likes of Tesco, M&S or any other supermarket chain.

I’m a huuuge sushi fan ❤️ It’s absolutely delicious and this place is a must to visit! The staff were lovely and I though the decor was sweet. I like that food is all out in the fridges across from the till, you can see properly what you’re going to be eating. Only problem with that though is I couldn’t make up my mind and spent ages stood there 🤦🏼‍♀️ The tuna sashimi was my favourite, it was beautiful and fresh. I know where I will be coming to again the next time I’m in Manchester.

The food is - well, okay here. It doesn't feel a whole lot more authentic than supermarket sushi though... the vegan option is pretty delicious though. Recommended for a quick lunch. Watch the prices though, they'll bite.

Visited here for a meal and was surprised when my food got put into microwave oven! Clearly not that fresh, also very overpriced, around £2 for 3 fortune cookies! What a joke!

Huge selection of authentic tasting sushi, there are also rice dishes available like Katsu curry which is warmed up after you pay if you decide to eat in. The eat-in prices for the sushi are quite a bit higher than the takeaway ones. Also a small selection of bubble teas, the pearls were not the chewy time. Nice clean seating area, the staff were pleasant and friendly. Would visit again.

E' stata un'alternativa al pranzo fai da te, vicino a dove studiavo, e sinceramente me ne sono poi pentita. Era dicembre, presi questa scatoletta dal frigo, e mi misi comoda a mangiare. Il locale è davvero carino, ma appena messo il primo sushi-boccone in bocca, anche se costava poco, mi sono sentita un pò presa in giro! Il riso era semi-crudo, come quando devi rosicchiarlo bene per mandarlo giù (non avevo alternative) e non aveva nessun sapore seppure aggiunto la salsa di soia compresa nel pacchetto. Per chi cerca QUALITA', oltre al prezzo basso e la comodità nell'aver qualcosa pronto subito, QUESTO non è il posto giusto dove mangiare. Girate al largo, fidatevi!!

Get here before half 12 for lunch so you have maximum choice. The food is amazing. Everything is fresh and looks incredible. They have a meal deal which includes food, snack and a hot drink. Sit in or take away. Plenty of tables inside. Staff are so friendly and helpful too Skip the McDonalds and try here, you won't regret it!

It's my personal favourite sushi place. Despite being a take out setup, it's choices are fresh in comparison to the likes of yo sushi and are more authentic in comparison despite its lack of choices. Prices are also reasonable compared to going to yo sushi.

There are a variety of Asian cuisines in the Manchester area that I wanted to try, fortunately for me a lot of my colleagues are big on their food and enjoy a mega nosh from time to time. My colleague Higbot (we're calling her Higbot to keep her identity anonymous) has been with us for a few months, the rest of the team had started to notice her sushi boxes, it has left the rest of P&M purring. So, one day when it was our lunch hour I jumped at the idea of going down to Nudo to give it a try. There was so much variety, different types of sushi and curries which looked to die for. In the end, I couldn't make a decision and had to pick one of each. It came to over £13 which was a tad expensive but a big boy like me needs feeding. Higbot bought two boxes of sushi as usual, legend. We got back to the office and started to dig into our banquet, the food was exceptional, by the end I had to remove a button on my shirt because my stomach was a ticking time bomb. Higbot smashed hers off with ease, made me look like an amateur. To anyone which hasn't been and wants to try, I would definitely recommend, no doubt I will be going again in the future. Maybe I could take the ex-wife, what am I thinking, now that the restraining order has kicked in there is no chance. There is Crash (my son), but I need to blag him back from the social services first. God, I’m so lonely.

Sushi was delicious albeit not freshly made, reasonable prices.

I've popped in here for a takeaway sushi lunch previously but we ate in here after visiting the Xmas market and enjoyed our selections. I had a box of salmon sushi with a miso soup and a really good cup of japanese green tea. My partner had the plate of Japanese dumplings and enjoyed these. The restaurant was very quiet but very clean and the food was very good, very fresh and best of all not too expensive.

Quiet and relaxing, with enough background music to be subtle and not overpowering. The food is pricey, but high quality, and sushi is always steep. Don't order the tofu salad as a side dish as it claims to be. It's almost solid tofu protein and you won't want anything else for the rest of the day!

Fell in love with the salmon sashimi rice with sweet vinegar. Amazing taste. Also, the staff were really friendly in helping me to find the type of sushi I was looking for.

my favourite place to get food anywhere. there's so much choice and having tried quite a few of the options they're all very tasty and reasonably priced. Towards the end of the day there's less available but that shows how popular it is

Me encanta el salmón, así que tuve la caja de salmón sashimi y el salmón especial cuando fui allí la primera vez (septiembre de 2018). Fue muy, muy bueno. No puedes equivocarte con el salmón fresco.

There aren't many decent sushi places in Manchester. This is a decent sushi place. Like all UK sushi offerings it ain't cheap.

Finally an affordable place to eat Japanese food in Manchester. Both sushi and hot dishes are delicious.

Had such high hopes for this place so decided to give it two goes... Both of which, i was heavily disappointing by the quality of fish. I tried the salmon nigiri set, handroll and roll set both times and the smell was such a let down.

Just got the tuna and salmon sushi box. It seems Friday evening is a bad time to go. The tuna was brown and had a smell, the salmon sushis were falling apart and smelt too. £7 down the drain.

Found this place opposite the training centre I'm at this week. Love It! Lots of choice of boxed sushi or order fresh.

this was recommended to me and being a lover of sushi I expected high quality. Think I just chose the wrong item as all my friends enjoyed theirs..... obviously busy at lunch but will be worth another visit

Not a sushi place for someone who wants authentic sushi and a wide range, but decent for a chain sushi restaurant. Nice selection even including sashimi. Hot food and crunchy snacks with over priced but luxurious selection of drinks. However, if you get here near the end of the day your options can be very limited and they are unwilling to make you sushi to order.

J'ai été super bien accueilli par June qui m'a expliqué comment prendre ma commande. Elle m'a aussi indiqué des endroits à visiter dans Manchester et me l'a marqué sur un papier, vraiment gentil de sa part ! Les sushis étaient super bon et j'y retournerai volontier pour en goûter d'autres!
