Shoryu Ramen in Manchester

Had the express lunch - a char sui pork bun, shoryu ganso tonkotsu and bottle of asahi super dry - a lovely location sitting outside by Picadilly Gardens in the sunshine

We visited the restaurant in Manchester and we were very impressed by the food and service. Gianluca; our waiter was very attentive and knowledgable in describing the menu and making recommendations. The broth in the ramen was exceptional.

The food was amazing and came out piping hot which I usually enjoy. The service was perfect and flawless and the atmosphere relaxed and laid back with black pink on the stereo. Think we’ll be back maybe for my daughter’s birthday!

The Ramen is very flavourful - I had the Tan Tan Ramen, and the broth was spicy and satisfying, but without burning your mouth. The pork was also juicy and well-seasoned. I liked that you can customize your bowl and the noodle thickness. Great mocktails, too. The service was nice. I only deducted points on the atmosphere for 2 reasons: 1. The space is small, and we were sat on the tall bar stool style table, which is not the most convenient. 2. I hate that the location is in Picadilly Gardens.

Came to meet my partner from work and we decided to get dinner and try Shoryu out! The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food is to die for, pictured is the Dracula Ramen dish and I will be getting it again!

My first ramen. I didnt know how i could eat it 😂 but i did it. Im not sure if it was hot or spicy. My mouth burnt! My friends were so excited they love hot and spice food specially ramen. This restaurant is really nice place to visit in the centre with kind staff and its always great choice.

Came down for a birthday celebration, great cuisine! Staff were superb from the moment I walked in. Great atmosphere. Got a dessert at the end as a freebie because it was a birthday. Great all round.

Fantastic ramen spot for families! We had a very wonderful dining experience at Shoryu Ramen tonight! The staff were incredibly friendly and exceptionally patient with our little one, which made us feel very welcome. The service was top-notch—attentive, quick, and thoughtful. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the signature ramens, and they were amazing—rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. We also really appreciated the kids’ menu—it was perfect for our child, with a well-balanced meal that included edamame, a small dish of chicken karaage with rice, and a scoop of ice cream for dessert. They even gave him a crayon and coloring sheet to keep him busy while we waited. Shoryu Ramen is a great spot for a comforting meal, whether you’re dining with kids or just looking for a great bowl of ramen. We’ll definitely be back!

Massive fan of the ramen here, with a good number of options for a range of flavours; a clear specialty. Service is punctual and friendly. Everyone clearly works very hard. A family favourite spot of ours.

I’ve been to Shoryu Ramen in Manchester around 3 or 4 times now, usually every month or 2. The ramen here is always solid. This time I had the Shoryu Ganso Tonkotsu again. The broth was rich and tasty, and the noodles were cooked just right. One of the staff, K (from Japan), was really friendly — he came over and asked if I was enjoying the food, which was a nice.👍🏻 It’s a bit of a shame that the early bird ramen offer wasn’t on today (Saturday), but I still really enjoyed my meal.🤭 I’ll definitely be back again like usual.

This place is an absolutely amazing restaurant, with the best customer services and really good Japanese cuisine. I am in literal aww. From the food to the interior, to the people who serve and the services. You would definitely not stop smiling you vist here. I have never reviewed any other place before. But I am reviewing now fortis place so that one day when I come back, I can just find this place without any hassle because of this review.

They offer really delicious authentic Japanese ramen and food. The ramen broth, bun and matcha tea are excellent. Quite many vegetarian options. Their staff are friendly and polite, and provide excellent service. I especially would like to thank the Chef Yuki and manager John for bringing an fabulous dining experience to me and my wife. I must say the food in Shoryu are very tasty and well worth the price. Last but not the least: the restaurant’s background Japanese music has enhanced the enjoyment. Highly recommended when you visit Manchester.

Amazing place for ramen and brilliant staff!! Highly recommend if you have any allergens as they were taken seriously and treated thoroughly. The food is absolutely delicious and served fresh with full body broth and lots of options. I couldn't resist getting extra noodles for the end of the broth which is such a great option to have when both are delicious. Couldn't recommend more - a must stop for Manchester!

Lovely experience from the beginning to the end. Ramen was delicious and definitely would go again. Our 5-year old is super picky but she ate the curry really well.

Food good no complaints HOWEVER only one female toilet that happens to be also the only disabled toilet and only baby change. The mens toilet is just for men. Couldn't even fit a wheelchair in the disabled/women/baby change cubicle if it came down to it. Restaurant good otherwise

Ordered from the express lunch menu and a kids menu for my daughter, found it good value; the char siu bun bao could do with some improvements, otherwise our ramen and karaage chicken rice tasted good! Our server Amelia was friendly, enthusiastic, warm and made our visit so much more pleasant - she noticed my little one drawing on a tissue paper so quickly handed her some crayons and the kids menu for colouring. Amelia also was kind enough to offer to take a photo for our family. Visited previously and would visit again!

A good Ramen spot for a good quality service and meal, the Ramen was nice and enjoyed the noodles but the true star was the amazing Takoyaki was the first place that I tried it and fell in love with the dish, also special mention to the customs cocktails they offer.

After all, the quality is probably the best in Manchester. The soup, chashu, and gyoza are satisfying. There may be a limit to the noodles overseas, but you can choose the hardness according to your preference, and we do our best. It's a charm that even if you order hard noodles, they won't turn out to be hard noodles😺

Both the pork and mushroom broths are amazing, well balanced and so flavourful 🤩 Great fresh noodles and toppings, such a good idea to have the garlic 🧄 press at the table for garlic lovers. But on that note, dont waste your time with the Dracula garlic ramen though if you live for garlic, it barely makes an appearance.

Shoryu Ganso Tonkotsu Ramen—their signature dish—is my go-to! I always make sure to visit when I’m in town. P.S. Please be more mindful of the washrooms.
