We have eaten here a few times now and it's definitely become our favourite Chinese takeaway now. Last time we ordered online and it was ready super quick and piping hot ready for collection. The food is fresh and really tasty and we're always met with a big smile and friendly face when we collect. Go try it, you'll love it!

If I could give more stars I would. Had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor—definitely one of the best Chinese takeaways I’ve had in a while. What really stood out, though, was the excellent customer service. The young man at the till was incredibly helpful, both in person and over the phone. He was polite, patient, and made sure everything was perfect with my order. It’s always great to see such friendly and attentive service. Will definitely be coming back!

First time trying WANS House since 2020 and due to the reviews I was apprehensive. We normally go to Dunton Bassett arms. I wouldn’t normally write a review, but I feel like I should as the food was delicious. I had the wandering dragon. My husband had his usual beef curry. Everything was fresh hot and really tasty. Lots of lovely vegetables .. The service was really good too, so this will be our new go to place for our Chinese takeaways from now on. I believe that they are under new ownership and trying to make their business work and I would definitely recommend you give it a try!

Tonight we were forgotten, 15mins turned into 25min then had to ask if it was ready, so by the time got the food home it was warm

Placed an order by telephone, on collecting order was told cash only by a young guy on the counter, this was not his fault so felt sorry for him, so I had to walk to cash machine to get some cash, most annoying as this should have been explained on telephone at time of ordering, cash only always rings a bell as something fishy to me so won’t be using this Chinese in future, food was at best ordinary, no where near as good as good as Double Dragon nearby which I usually use

Just had our 1st take away from here delivery within the hour, food nice,hot, and tasty.

So I ordered the salt and pepper box you get quite a lot of food so was worth the £14 the best parts for me were the ribs soo much flavour and the meat just fell off the bone with one bite the wings were good too chicken balls were abit to oily for me and the salt chilli chicken was a little too chewy I'd like to see shredded carrot and abit more onion and chilli in there too. Definitely the start of the show was those ribs

Ordered a meal from here last night when it came we received spare ribs instead of spring rolls and we was told we could swap the spare ribs for the spring rolls or next time we ordered we could have a free spare ribs poor customer service. The noodles was the worse noodles I had ever tried we all said that , the chips were like little thin. Chips not normal standard Chinese chips , the chicken was thin and looked not as nice we normally get . I tried it once and would not go back when the driver passed me the food it fell on the floor . It was £36 with delivery £10 over what we normally pay when we go to good chai, will be going back there as the customer service there is lovely , food is lovely and reasonably priced.

Please think before ordering. Waited 1 hour 50 min to receive ston cold food .when rang up to complain got a snotty attitude. Iv been a chef for 25 years and this is the most bland Chinese I have ever had .plus was over price under delivered on the quality. Tesco Chinese has more flavour.

Our first takeaway from New Wans on 13.12.24, very disappointed, food was cold, not very tasty, delivery woman tried to charge us again and to add insult we were charged £2 delivery. We’ll be going back to double Dragon, food always tasty and hot and free delivery in Blaby

Our favourite Chinese. Delivery is always pretty quick and the food is always hot. The food is also really good. I recommend the beef chow mein and the salt and pepper chicken.

Long time since we had a chinese takeaway and if this one was anything to go by it will be a long time again. What a waste of money. Food was disgusting

Had a delivery about 30 mins ago. Tbf was on time but that’s where it ends. Rice was greasy, spring rolls had hardly anything in but batter. Chilli n salt chips were just chips. Crispy shredded beef was soggy. Spare ribs omg came chopped up when laid out together there were approx 2 spare ribs, they were old meat too. Really poor quality. Will be giving this place a miss!

I will never order from here again. I ordered from here putting in that I wanted it at 7:30 and it arrived at 6:30

Salt and chilli chicken wings and yung chow chow mein lovely and I didn't have to wait ages for it

I ordered special curry and when they came they took my cat he's never been seen again. Everytime they deliver now I hide the parrot and my dog hides under the bed. I'm sure I've eaten my own cat as now I cough up hair balls so please think of biscuits my poor cat when ordering from these barbarians. told 45 mins for delivery a hour and a half the order turns up wrong and cold avoid this place seriously used to be nice now I wouldnt let my dog eat ot

I ordered crispy shredded chilli chicken, on a recommendation, although there were conserns about the hygiene standards. At £8.20 with rice, not cheap. When I got home close by, it needed rewarming. It wasn't crispy, it wasn't shredded,and it wasn't chilli, as for the chicken, I cannot comment. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, with the hygiene standards being very suspect, I would steer clear if I were you. JohnB

Decent Chinese takeaway but are quite fast serving but not to good seating

My favourite Chinese place. Always insanely fast and gets here hot. The food is really tasty. Chicken balls are the right balance between bread and chicken.

Shithole, have just complained to Jo at Wans House that my order was no good and she could not care less! I advise to avoid this takeaway..

Best Chinese in Blaby (tasted which makes a change from most local chineses)

I think this place is owned and ran by a slave driver people say staff have put the phone down " well I rang to speak to manager and he put the phone down on me without speaking

Long wait for food 40 mins egg fried rixe

Unfortunately i was told to wait a second on the phone, and was left for 6 minutesm while hearing customers being served and staffs talking.

We waited 2 hours for our food!! Terrible customer service!

The secret menu is divine, highly recommended to me by a friend.

At one point wans was the choice of our Chinese take aways how ever the standards started to slip and flavours became a bit more bland, you can still get a decent take away from here but its pretty standard.

Their house special chow mein is really good and they're a friendly bunch in there too.

Ordered tonight and when delivered we were missing the noodles. No big issue so we rang ! The staff on the phone were very rude and even put the phone down on me twice ! The third time I rang I spoke to a man who more or less threatened me ! Will never use this takeaway again ! Good customer service is obviously not required anymore. And still no noodles
