Always have great food from here, we always collect and it is ready quickly, is hot and absolutely delicious

The worst service and food tonight. Ordered 1/4 duck along with other items and waited ages for it , to get home for it to be all burnt , fatty with no meat. Rang them to ask what was going on for them to tell us they have had a problem with the duck but no one had complained yet, apparently no one speaks English yet when we were sat in the shop waiting , the girl that served us was fluent English. Disgusting service, disgusting food and a compleat let down when you have been looking forward to it all day! Picture of the duck or whatever it is!

We tried salt n chilli chicken which I think they poured the full tub of salt on it , thought the whole meal was tasteless. We’ve tried it before and didn’t think much of the meal , thought after a time to try again . Yuk . Will never go there again .

When you ring always answered by (can you just hold on 2 seconds) a friend recommended hong kong to me , but I've ordered 2 take a way's now. The 1st was ok but tonight, beef in black bean sauce was very bland and didn't see any black beans plus meal looked enemic. Never a gain

Last two weeks we have ordered food. Order arrives missing items or incorrect Ring to ask and say wait another 20 minute for missing items No sorry or refund. Never again

When I ordered, was told would be approx 30 mins, rang after 45 mins and told still in the kitchen but would go out on next run. Rang again 40 mins later, was told driver left 30 mins ago, couldn’t check where he was as he’d left his phone behind. Turned up after nearly 1.5 hrs wait. Food was absolutely disgusting, made us feel sick, so chucked most of it away, after wasting £21.60. How are they still in business!!!

Mega, easily the best Chinese around. We have one at least once a fortnight and it's never been disappointing. Not sure I'm believing the bad reviews on here.

First time trying this Chinese takeaway as usually use a nearer takeaway. Was amazing and will definitely be our go to Chinese in the future. Crispy chilli beef was best ever tasted

Really bad. everything we ordered was a dingy grey shade (6 dishes) so assume cooked in the same dirty pan. Really rude uninviting staff at front of house who prioritise phone orders over you even mid order as she put her hand up to me telling me to wait it out as she deviated away from me to the ringing as I was telling her the mains I wanted!! Never again, proper rubbish no quality, flavour or attention to detail at all.. this after being so good for near 20 years when Anthony and Esther ran it, hang your heads you have ruined the best chinese in the area within 2 years of ownership!

Delivery arrive wrong order, called to notify lady was completely unsympathetic told next it will be right. Also rice was mushy and cold chips refried!

Best chinese in Leicester hands down always arrives hot so tasty.

All 3 meals were terrible, Singapore Chow Mein was greasy, noodles over cooked, soggy vegetables and very little meat/prawns. Beef in black bean sauce swimming in oil, soggy peppers etc. Fried chicken with lemon sauce, dry/over cooked. Chips ok ..... never again!!!!

although anthony and esther have departed recently after many years this take away remains consistent and serves high quality tasty food that will keep you coming back for years, i've tried various places in the area, but have been coming back here for almost 20 years on a weekly basis and always been pleased. good value and all the other take away options in blaby, chinese, indian, pizza etc fluctuate between 1-3 stars on scores on the doors for hygiene etc. hong kong has always been 4 or 5 stars, something i take very seriously when ordering a take out and have never been ill or has so much as a tummy ache whatever i've ordered, the same cannot be said for most other options in blaby and whetstone.

I had a great chow mein and fried rice from here. The service was quick as well. I would have preferred a boiled prawn dim sum instead of the deep fried prawn wonton but the former wasn’t available on the menu unfortunately. Nevertherless, I will definitely order from here again as it seems to be the best Chinese in the area.

We use Hong Kong takeaway as out first choice for Chinese takeaway food, however the phone is constantly engaged when ever I ring. This has happened at least 5 times with me giving up re dialling again and again forcing us to use an alternative restaurant. Food is fantastic especially the salt and chilli chips, they are amazing.

We have used Hong Kong for over 15 years now, food is always good, reasonable delivery times, tried other chinese take aways but not as good as Hong Kong

Nice fresh food but the duck starter needs improvement. It is cut up so cold when it arrives and is not the best cut of meat.

Nice food quick service reasonably priced and lots for the money. Maybe get another person to answer the phone as it is very busy. But the wait is worth it.

Iv been to Hong Kong since I was a child/teen and the meals have been good but very recently I got a meal from there and the next day after eating my meal I got really bad food poisoning the other meal I ordered with it was barely cooked will never go back to this place again 😤😤

Absolutely the worst Chinese we have ever had prawn crackers greasy, duck fatty and asked for shredded but was just sliced but minimal duck meat, disgusting chicken in sweet and sour, no egg in egg fried rice and salty and chicken chow mein was flavourless! Waste of £20

In my experience (of a good many years now) consistently good food and service.

Hong kong take away is probably the best take away option in Blaby, the food has that little bit more flavour than the alternatives. Only thing that really lets them down is the fact you still have to pay cash.

the crispy chicken with salt and chilli is a recommendation of mine as it has to be one of the best chicken dishes i have had i would personally like to give the owner a big smooch for such great chicken

The very best Chinese food in Leicester, amazing standard maintained with all of the dishes that I have tried. I have been ordering from them for several years now and tried most of their dishes, all of them 5 stars.
