Had a kids birthday meal here, and Rebecca was fantastic, she provided wonderful service.

the perfect location as a half way point for us coming from Manchester and family travelling from North London and Beaconsfield. Accommodated 12 of us and the staff were brilliant. Food hot and quick, mixture of carveries and off the menu items ordered as well as the odd pud! Would definitely recommend

We were served by Rebecca and her service was exceptional and really couldn’t do much more. Food here is a 4/5 as some of the carvery items are a bit bland in flavour. Lovely pub that we will keep coming back to.

Went to Gynsills for a birthday lunch. As a group we were all so pleased to be served by Rebecca. She was so lovely and provided us with extra bits and bobs to make the birthday that bit more special. Carvery was lovely and drinks were too.

We came to Gynsills on Saturday afternoon. The food and gentleman at carvery was lovely. Rebecca was the most attentive and friendly member of staff we have ever met. She was great with my daughter and really helped her needs with eating as she doesn't eat a wide selection at carvery. She couldn't do enough for us and was always smiling.

I feel compelled to share my recent experience at this restaurant so others can avoid the same mistake. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted not with a warm welcome, but with an overwhelmingly stale, musty smell that lingered throughout the entire dining area. It was immediately off-putting and made us question the cleanliness and freshness of the place. Unfortunately, things only went downhill from there. We were begrudgingly acknowledged by the staff, who seemed more annoyed than interested in actually serving us. Not a smile or a polite word – just a cold, indifferent attitude that made us feel like we were inconveniencing them by simply being there. When we asked for a table, there was no attempt at customer service or hospitality, just a vague wave and a muttered instruction. We also asked for ice and lemon for our drinks, which we were told they "don't have any." No explanation, no alternative – just a dismissive tone, as if we were being unreasonable for even asking. What truly stunned us, however, was what we learned afterward. We were staying at a nearby Premier Inn, and when we mentioned to the manager that we had dinner plans at this particular restaurant, she and her staff strongly advised us not to eat there. Apparently, they’ve had multiple complaints from previous guests about poor service, and overall unpleasant experiences. I only wish we’d spoken to them before we went, as it would have saved us time, money, and a thoroughly unpleasant evening. There was nothing about our visit that could redeem the experience. Between the foul smell, the rude and uninterested staff, the unhygienic conditions, and the lack of even basic service offerings like ice or lemon, I honestly cannot think of a single reason to return. It’s rare to find a place where everything goes wrong, but this restaurant managed to hit every low note. If you're considering dining here – don't. There are plenty of other places nearby where your business will be appreciated and your basic expectations met.

Helpful and friendly staff. Carvery delicious flavours. Sirloin steak tasty. Unfortunately they could not find a corkscrew for the 19 crimes red wine. Luckily we carry one everywher we go!😂

First time visit today for a 60th birthday meal and we all had the carvery. Standard plates quite big and you get a slice of each of the meats, ham, beef and turkey plus a Yorkie pud, for an extra 2 quid you can have pigs in blankets which were divine, bigger than the usual ones you get too and very tasty! Roast potatoes amazing, mash if you want it, parsnips, french beans, carrots, cauliflower, amazing gravy and a choice of sauces, apple sauce, mustard, horseradish and cranberry sauce. The food was fab, service excellent from the staff and the place was clean with a nice atmosphere. Me and the missus both said we will defo be back for another carvery fix, highly recommded ! Oh and even on a Sunday we thought it wasn't overly expensive either.

'waited to be seated' as people walked by and ordered from the bar. Decided to seat myself after a short while. Medium rare steak was butterflied and well done? Grilled tomato was not grilled. Flies constantly buzzing around and landing on me. Ordered a whisky and coke from the app and didn't turn up for 20mins. I asked where it was and they came back 5mins later and said it was bc they were trying to find the whisky I had ordered from the stockroom. Not great

Stayed at the Premier Inn next door. Had two breakfasts as part of my stay plus I opted to visit for a main evening meal and a lighter evening meal. The food was great, wait times very reasonable indeed and all of the staff were lovely. Wish it was nearer to home.

Went today for food. There were 3 of us, mixed grill lovely tikka masala nice but didn't some with poppadom. Carvery was not good. Parsnips like rubber roast potatoes were burnt and couldn't eat , yorkshires also couldn't cut. Noone came to ask if meal OK staff standing around talking to each other. On the whole not impressed Messaged you

We went for a birthday celebration and was greeted by Rebecca our lovely server who led us to a table with a birthday banner, balloons and a card - how awesome. We had 2 carveries - amazing value as always plus a chicken tikka masala which I’m told was delicious. Highly recommended for a good value meal and celebration.

We had very nice carvery on my birthday. The roast was well prepared. Pub ans restaurant service was excellent and very fast. It seems very popular here, there are many groups of guests drinking and dining.

We called in for breakfast everything is a dingie brown giving the place a dark dismal look the guy behind the bar was really interested and moved with the speed of a stunned slug the food while plentiful was cold not even warm sorry the beens were warm if I have been to worse establishments I cannot remember when or where

Firstly I just want to say how welcoming the Gynsills Farm - Dining & Carvery is. I went for tea on the evening of Saturday 4th April. I was served by Rebecca and she was amazing - she went above and beyond. I came on my own with my two children and usually this would be a struggle but Rebecca was offering help, advising on food and she kept checking we had everything we needed. I would certainly return, the atmosphere was lovely. Great place for food and drinks and especially if you have children; there is a small indoor kids play zone and an out door play area. A big thank you to Rebecca! She is a credit to the team!

Food isn't great, carvery seems to be better on a Sunday. Beef was really fatty, roasties were very salty, yorkies were a bit dry and chewy. Veg and gravy was decent though. Service was good 👍🏻

For a carvery we are usually left with a choice of Marston. This was a whole lot better. The taste and quality of the food to the presentation. Superb. Staff were all polite, friendly and helpful. Now a regular visit after hospital appointments

Me and my partner must order a too good to go box weekly, we love the food & usually are allowed to pick what meat we want and help ourselves to what ever trimmings we’d like. But not tonight!! The young boy serving behind the unit had already plated the food in the boxes, the roast potatoes were anemic & I don’t like half the stuff in it, how is that too good to go as half of it’s going in the bin!! Shocking service why not let us choose what we want. I am not happy and will not be coming again to even pay a full price!! Defeating the objective of too good to go if you ask me!!!

Rebecca served us all evening. She was super friendly and approachable. We even had desert and she was super friendly when we asked for a spare spoon with our desert. I had not the best experience at a farm house in Thurmaston last year but today visit has made me want to visit again! I would say the quality and friendliness of the service received was the core of my visit. Thank You Rebecca!

Last night me and my partner visited&would like to say a massive thank you to the staff; becca, jade, marie and ebony, they were extremely friendly, they made sure everything was okay for us, made sure we were happy with our meals, and were quick to clear up after us, we were made to feel very welcome throughout our visit. The best team of girls you could wish to have around when you go out for a meal, thank you ladies!

Bloke behind the bar is rude, looked like he was a manager as well judging by being in his own shirt unlike others in uniform, ask for a clean glass and you get a dirty look overall his customer service skills are slim to none. Grabber machine for kids on the right looked like it had mouse poop in the bottom of it. Toilets look like they are falling apart with flush buttons missing. Kids play area has wallpaper coming off the wall, you stick to the tables. Food all over the floor under tables. Not a bad price for food though and reasonable quality.
