We went for coffee and a snack mid week. The coffee was good and hot although the large wasn't that large but no more expensive than similar places. The staff are young and friendly but the coffee did take some time to come i.e after the food which was delivered quickly. We ordered Avocado on toast which was tasty and generously spread and not unreasonable at about £8 for 2 slices as avocados are expensive. There is piped music which added to the acoustics of fellow patrons produces a noise level of about 90 db which is not good for a quiet conversation or reading. So if you like busy bustling cafes and don't mind paying full price for food go to Walnuts. They have a loyalty card but only give you one stamp per visit not per drink which seems a bit mean. There are quieter and better value cafes in Petts Wood. It depends what you want.

Out to go to the shops and park and popped in here with a 2year old. Coffee and croissants for me and my granddaughter. We sat outside as it was sunny and easier as had a buggy. The service and staff were excellent and attentive to my granddaughter offering a high chair but she likes to sit on a chair at the table. Overall a good experience and would return with her again as a warm welcome for her as some eateries are not as welcoming. Thank you.

Another lunch with my daughter in walnuts. She had an excellent chicken salad with lovely dressing, croutons and parmesan. I had my fav prawn and crushed avocado sandwich on brown bread. Yummy.

Been here a few times in second half of 2020 (when permitted to be open). I’ve had some of the light bites (paninis), but by far my favourite is the fully loaded English! I’ve had some great full ‘Englishes’ in hotels and restaurants over the years, and this is up there with the best...and a great value too! Others in my family love their brioche too. Great place to have locally.

Visited for brunch on Sunday and the Turkish breakfast feast was absolutely delicious and plentiful for 4 adults and a 3 year old. Highly recommended. While we were there, there was a small film production shoot going on which was wonderful to observe and my daughter was invited to be a part of since it is her area of study. A unique and pleasant place to to visit and have some lovely food. We will definitely be visiting again for a delicious breakfast/lunch.

Such a wonderful dining evening we had ! The food was so excellent, fresh and good sizes. We had a perfect half Lobster with delicious sauce and huge yummy Dover Soles with garlic butter, was so surprising good. And don’t forget the King Prawns as main course. Everything for reasonable prices. We loved it especially because we had Tam as a waiter. He was so charming and recommend the best for us. Thanks for that awesome Dinner !

Real authentic seafood, we absolutely demolished our garlic oysters probably the best I have eaten. The monk fish was to die for and live the old school decor really adds to the atmosphere. Friendly staff and compliments to the chefs. Thank you. We will be back.

Pros - Nice ambience. - As we were the only family, they accepted our request to change the songs playing. - I had got my own cake for my Uncle as he doesn't eat sugar. they decorated the cake well. and got it with candles. CONs - We went here to celebrate on a Monday, I am a vegetarian , and Indian. We ordered Paneer Shashlik, and Gujrati Veg biryani for dinner. The food was horrible. It has no flavours , no salt. I assumed it would be a marinated Paneer. They served us 3 thin slices of paneer, with one piece of tomato, pepper and onion. Nothing was marinated. It was just grilled with oil. Then Biryani was another disaster. It was the worst Biryani I have ever had. It had no flavour, just salt, though they said it was medium spicy. They had put big big pieces of Ginger, unfortunately first 3 bytes I had the 3 pieces. We literally went hungry home. Chips we ordered for my daughter was the only good dish. Some family members ordered non veg food, it was equally horrible. No taste at all. If you are an Indian, avoid this place. You will be disappointed as its all catered for British taste. and it has no flavours.
