I always come to this chippy when I'm in the area and the food & service is always good. However todays experience was not the usual nice experience. This is not a review about the food as this was 10/10 as per usual, the service is what has let this visit down. It was very busy when we visited and I understand that given the noise level when you ordering things can be missed, we are all human. When I pointed out a missing item I was told by the lady that took my order that "you didn't order one " in a really rude manner, now there is a big difference in someone not hearing something and someone not ordering something. It felt like the lady wanted to have an argument about it. Yes this is a popular chippy and a very good one but I think the owner needs to train her staff in customer service. The correct answer should have been "I'm sorry I didn't hear you ask for a buttered muffin, let me sort that out for you". Instead I was left stood there in disbelief being made to feel like I was lying. What made it worse was that the owner was stood right there let her staff member treat a customer in that way, she just stood there letting her staff member go back and forth over a buttered muffin!!!!

I came for a few drinks and the service was absolutely amazing. Emma was an absolute star making all our orders fast and efficiently. She made sure that we was all accommodated with an amazing timely manner. The tables were also cleared in an effectively timely manner too. She made us all feel so warm and welcome. We all left with a great big smile on our faces with the amazing customer service we received. Thanks to Emma we will definitely be coming back but with more people this time round.

145 Simister Lane Prestwich ManchesterNice polite staff and good priced food. Lovely view across the fields on a clear nice day. Nice environment all together. Update.. Although its still a good place to visit, the food menu has become disappointing, and there is a lack of choice. The atmosphere appears to have changed a little, we visited twice in the past month , April 2025. Just to see if it was a one-off.. I'm not sure if the management has changed.

237 Bolton RoadOnly call in here if I'm passing. Just got a lightly battered fish & chips but they were excellent. Nice chunky fish & tasty. Might call more often.
