We are regular attenders at this cafe at brunch time, today we were served with the sandwiches we requested. My complaint relates to observations of staff and other customers. Several customers were disappointed in the lack of appropriate foods available. They were told there was no white bread although this was a confectioners/bakery and only 1.00pm. The same customer then asked for pie and peas only to be told that the staff member would need to check if any pies but certainly no mushy peas. Also lacking choice of condiments Another customer was told there were no jacket potatoes. The lack of provisions was bad enough but when the customers were dealt with by a curt and almost rude young girl who acted similarly with several customers then that was enough to put people off further visits. I have noted the review in July mentioning miserable older staff in the shop. With the best will in the world in the present climate these attitudes do not persuade customers to return or attract new customers by word of mouth. Suggest corrective measures are taken sooner rather than later. Skipton should be providing the best service particularly as parking charges have rocketed to an exorbitant level and people spending less hours there.

Have reviewed previously, my only complaint being that they put peas in their Cornish (sorry ..Yorkshire) pasties. Bought them again today, no idea if there were peas in or not, as we didn't eat enough to find out. I asked if the pasties were hot and was assured they were. I thought the paper bag would be warmer when they were passed over but as it wasn't I asked again if they were hot. The lady who served me said 'Yes that's what you asked for wasn't it? I assumed they must be hot inside the pastry case but they were stone cold so after one bite in the bin they went.

I'm local and have used Walkers Bakeries a few times, mainly the Grassington one for sandwiches, which is fantastic with friendly staff. But I went to the Skipton one last week and bought 2 home-made fruit pies for an evening meal with friends. Didn't have time to make my own so thought I would support local / independent and whilst they were expensive (£4.95 each) I recognise that home-made costs a bit more and they were delicious. However my main gripe was about the pair of miseries behind the counter. Unfriendly and clearly didn't want to be there. Older ladies too....you'd think they would know a thing about customer service. Come along ladies....a smile wouldn't come amiss! Not sure whether I would go back, no matter how strong the urge to support local!

Called here for late breakfast as we haven’t been since before COVID struck! Upstairs cafe is beautifully done out. We we’re greeted by a really friendly lady and shown to a table in the window. The menus provided a good choice of snacks and larger meals. We chose a toasty and scrambled eggs on sour dough toast. Both were absolutely superb. We also had a tea and a coffee which again were excellent. The young lady looking after the restaurant was so friendly to everyone and covered all customers equally well. Nothing was too much trouble. We’ll be heading there again when we’re next in Skipton!

Exactly what we needed for a quick lunch in their cafe upstairs. I had the Pork Pie and Peas, possibly not to everyone’s taste, but the mushy peas were so much better than the ones we’d had in Skegness the previous day, so give it a try

We were staying just round the corner from Walkers Bakery so used it a couple of times. Maybe we were unlucky with our cakes, millionaire’s shortbread and chocolate covered flapjack, but we were both disappointed. The filled rolls on the other hand were good and excellent value. I had so much ham in mine, I took half out and had it in a sandwich the following day.

Would not let me use toilet even though I was buying food from them and pleaded with them to relent! It's just unkind to refuse and its a basic human right. Staff are miserable and seem to take pleasure in being awkward. Unhelpful when asking questions and they literally glare at you like you are a nuisance - been giving them the benefit but this has been my experience last 3 visits. Don't think they like having Customers. Food was average too. So many other places locally where staff have a ready smile and seem like they enjoy their job.

Literally the worst jacket potatoes, I’ve complained about them before as they’re just awful especially for £4.95 yes £4.95!!!!! I visited again hoping there may have been some improvement but they still haven’t changed. I genuinely think they just shove them in the microwave rather than actually putting them in the oven! Very poor wont be going again.

It was our wedding anniversary ... nowhere open in Skipton for a nice takeaway milky hot chocolate on a wet and cold May morning- or so I thought. Just driving home when we spotted Walkers was open. So observing two people only in the shop notice, I went in and ordered two large hot chocolates. They duly arrived and for £3.70 - the best tasting hot chocolate I’ve had in AGES!!! Fab selection of lunch goods, nice bread, cakes etc - I’ve never been in here before. Staff were very friendly. Tough being in a frontline position right now. Utter respect for the staff at Walkers.

My mum had been given some vouchers for her birthday, so went there yesterday. Phoned up to ask if we could reserve a table, and we could. This had been done for us as requested, and upon arrival, were directed to a lovely table in front of the window. We were undecided what to choose from the menu having seen all this wonderful food coming from the kitchen, however, we eventually decided on the afternoon tea. Words cannot describe how we both felt when this arrived. The overall presentation was amazing, and the food outstanding. Care and attention had been considered for every part of it. We were both unable to finish all of it, so were presented with some lovely boxes in which to bring home the food we were unable to eat. The lady who served us was extremely obliging, and nothing was too much trouble. Neither of us had been there before, but it will be a place that we now frequent when we are in Skipton. A must place to visit as it is just brilliant! Thank you for providing such wonderful food and an overall fantastic experience.

Having visited this bakery several times we have been left feeling absolutely appalled. We recently spent 17.00 on sandwiches and 2 slices of toast. After we had finished our food my Grandson wanted a caramel slice. Having paid to sit at a table we were dumbfounded to be asked to pay an additional 1.00 for him to have a treat. We left after owner refused to allow us to remain at our table. She insisted we must pay the extra. It is not a question of the monetary amount but of the fact that we had already paid to eat in.We will never return to this establishment!!!

Always pop in here when in Skipton. Clean, decent foods, pleasant staff. Yesterday however female server couldnt give a hoot. Long unkept hair, hand either on hip, in pocket or arms crossed. Looked at everyone like we were all dirt. Spoke appallingly. I waited in line, then she said 'back in a minute' and vanished. 5 mins later came nack and simply said 'yeah?'. Good grief, shockingly bad. Is this the era of a Mike Ashley owned business?

The largest portions I've ever experienced! How do some folk put it all away! 😂
