The bouncers were not friendly and seemed to have a problem with my friend for no reason at all. There were lots of single men leering and trying to touch us or make us drink their drink. I feel it would be safer if people weren’t allowed to attend as singles

VERY RUDE BARTENDERS to my girlfriend, venue wasn't that busy and when my girlfriend and her friends came to the bar counter to ask for drinks, the bartenders didn't seem pleased that we interrupted them. The females in our group felt they were sneering at them throughout the night. I can understand some customers can be difficult but we are absolutely no trouble to anyone. Drinks were reasonably priced. We won't be coming here again when our other uni friends return, just to be glared at by insecure bartenders that obviously feel just as bitter as the drinks they serve.

I came to walkabout on saturday night with my friends, we went to order drinks at the bar and was greeted by a tall brunette/pink haired girl with glasses. She was so funny, kind and made the whole expierence better. We will definitely come back thanks to her! She created a great and fun atmosphere for us while making sure she served us quickly! Shes an asset to walkabout!

Great experience, Ryan behind the bar was very friendly and was actually pleasant to have a conversation with. A great place for friends to go to for pre drinks on a night out, really cheap and if you enjoy playing darts and watching sport it’s the place to be

Venue is large and has ample screens but let down by the food and management . Ordered a Njuda Nachos so was expecting it to be meaty but received what I thought was regular nachos with salsa. Showed this to the waiter who couldn’t see any Sausage in it. The manager eventually came out stating it is mixed through the sauce but can’t be seen. There was hardly any sauce meaning that less than a bite of a small sausage might have been present. I was refunded 2/3rds of the cost . They brought out cash and I didn’t count it initially but when I did it was short a £2. I didn’t challenge this, having realised they just don’t have much of a clue here and that I’d rather watch the sport I was there for than kick up any more if a fuss. Bottom line - just remove that dish from the menu if that is the actual dish. And when you say sorry and refund a customer - just refund the whole dish why skimp on the last £2? There was plenty of attitude also so these guys just don’t really care. Shame because potential is there with size of the venue and screens everywhere. Perfect for drink and watching sport only just leave the food alone .

My friends and I visited Walkabout Leicester a couple of months ago and it was great!! I had never been before so my friends decided to introduce me to the bar. I was really impressed with how friendly and polite the staff and doormen were and they made us all feel very safe. I loved it so much that we are going again this coming weekend.

I just wanted to say a huge thanks to the staff at walkabout who have made our last few visits there throughly enjoyed. Especially Hannah and Hayleigh last Sunday. The customer service provided has been second to none. Actually far better than some 'high end' establishments. They've accommodated both the F1 and Wimbledon tennis on their screens for us. Nothing too much effort. Food has been OK too. So huge thank you.

I recommend this bar to anybody that visits leicester or lives in Leicester it does fantastic food and all the staff are very kind friendly and very welcoming and the atmosphere is fantastic

My go to bar, big screen and plenty of TVs for sporting events, great selection of beers and friendly staff.

Came here Friday and Sunday enjoyed the meal deal on friday which was lovely and was served quick friendly staff on both occasions just had drinks on the sun which were served by a lovely lady ordered on the app which didn't go thorough to the bar but was soon sorted would return again

The two bouncers on the door tonight 7th may 2022. Decided appropriate to search me and my possessions which is fine. But only target white males with their searches. The Asian and black doorman let other Asians and women in with no checks. They were rude and aggressive with their checks. Won’t be coming back after the way he aggressively searched my crotch region which he assured me was normal. And their personal hygiene left a lot to be desired.

Staff friendly, food not very nice. Fish was processed fish (fish finger style), not freshly battered. The chicken was rubbery in the chicken burger. Overall food not great

Very loud, but it is a sports bar. Short of staff! Had to wait 45 mins for two wraps! The food was appalling when it did arrive. We wanted sub rolls, but these were off the menu even though it was match day. The wraps were cold and stuffed with a good deal of green leaves.

Great sports bar. Went for the six nations and they had this banging six nations burger. Highly recommend it for sport..

Went to Walkabout to have a few drinks with some friends and was stopped by the bouncers on the way in. They had a charity box on the outside and we were going to donate a bit of money on the way in anyway. However, whilst checking our ID’s the main bouncer came out of the club and said that we had to pay at least £2 into the charity box to gain entry to the place. What made this worse (despite the fact that charity contributions shouldn’t be compulsory and we were going to contribute anyway) was the fact that the group of ladies who walked in before us didn’t have to pay any money upon entry. A group of lads, just wanting to have a few drinks at 8.18pm on Saturday 29th were targeted by 3 bouncers wanting to have a laugh. Absolute joke!

The vibes are always good in there, staff are lovely and helpful. Love it here when I come up to Leicester, always have to make the trip!

Our waitress Emily was the nicest and most approachable person who accommodated our mostly intoxicated and probably quite annoying group with a consistent smile on her face (even through her mask). Will defo be returning as she was lovely and made us all feel welcome.

For a Monday it was pretty busy in the place the staff were very pleasant and there was a good selection of beers on offer. The menu is pretty much pub grub but we found it very nice and good value for money.

This place is definitely top draw for sports came in here for every England game during the World Cup and the atmosphere was electric they had a DJ on playing songs when England won playing all the England songs which made all the more fun....

Good night out and cheap drinks, good music. Good place to start on any night out really, you can then go elsewhere later on.

The music is great, something you can have a dance to. The drinks are fine a little pricey, but can't complain. The bouncers even smiled. Overall a good night.

Went in Walkabout for food on a Sunday afternoon and decided on the Aussie All Dayer Cooked Breakfast. This was well presented on a large rectangular plate, and comprised of chips, 2 sausages. 2 fried eggs, baked beans, 3 bacon slices, grilled tomato and deep fried corn on the cob. The eggs could have done with a minute longer frying, and the corn didn't look appealing, but overall, the food was tasty and filling, and plenty of it. I chose vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce as dessert and it arrived nicely presented as 3 scoops, drizzled with the sauce and a chocolate flake on top. The staff were very friendly, and asked if everything was OK a couple of times, which it was. The decor was a chilled out, laid back Aussie graffiti style, and felt comfortable and relaxing. Even the toilets were decorated in the same colourful unusual style. Photo attached. Would definitely return for food, and also just for drinks. Paid £7.95 for main food and £2.95 for dessert. Really enjoyed it!

Walkabout is the place for sport in leicester giving great drinks offers at selected times and games. Sadly thats as good as it gets for me. Twice I've been in for huge games ( I've been in for more) and twice its been understaffed leaving customers an average wait of 30 mins for a drink. Had food for the 1st time and 1 was ok'ish the Aussie all dayer had a brick fritter instead of a sweetcorn fritter. The steak in the wrap was way too chewy for my friend so lost half the steak. After food was brought out there was no check back and plates are still in front of me as i write and we finished 45 mins ago and only a handful of customers are in so its not exactly too busy to collect our plates. If they get more staff on during the big matches then this place goes 2 4 stars if food improves then 5 star.

Great atmosphere and music - always a fun night out for drinks and dancing - have always enjoyed it there and the staff are friendly

Went for a group meal a few of days back and thought we would give Walkabout try as we used to always go there when it was Yates and its the same company.

I have always been a fan of Walkabout Bars. They are generally cheap and friendly and this one is no exception. It is the old Yates pub and it hasn't changed all that much. A few more tv's and a huge screen behind the bar showing images of Australia were the only major changes I could see

Came here to watch the football it’s beautiful inside the beer was cheap and they about 20 TVs to watch the game on

Since opening, Walkabout has become my favourite place to go in Leicester.
