Good meeting point for post the shopping. Excellent Pain au Raison. Americano a bit generous even as the 'regukar' size, but good flavour. Hayling Seagoon

Well, how could this cafe be so much better? Before the refit the coffee was decidedly average, now it is top rank. Had a baguette with cheese and ham. The bread tasted as though it had just left the oven. The fillings were both fabulous. Forget the shopping, just pop in to sample the cafe. Highly recommended. Hayling Seagoon

Went for coffee and cake in newly refurbished Wait and Rose Cafe with friends. No cakes we fancied on display so took a couple of cakes from glass cabinet display like we were able to do before refurb. We're told at the Coffee counter we could not pay for the cakes there so had to queue at the checkout to pay for them. Only then to be told we could not consume the cakes with our coffee they were only for take away. Please either improve your choice of cakes available in the Cafe or change your ruling. I for one will not be using the cafe again

The cafe at this Waitrose has been attractively refurbished. However several disappointments....very small space now for our trolley to be left, no teacakes available on the three afternoons we called, no plain or cheesy scones available either on those afternoons. The only items we were offered were rather sugary looking cakes - not to our taste. We were sorry - we liked having a cuppa and a teacake or scone after our weekly shop!

I use this facility occasionally and it’s a good standard as one would expect of Waitrose. Usual selections of hot and cold food, cakes etc.

Even though they are supposed to be half price for My Waitrose customers, they were not available. Decided to have plain scone instead and asked whether I could have my free coffee with my scone in the restaurant. Told I could not have a free coffee in the restaurant, and also could not have Half price scone unless I bought a drink too. Seems a bonkers plan. Why upset loyal customers, especially when the restaurant is not full? Come on Waitrose, get yourselves sorted. In the end took my free coffee and drank it in my car.

I shop regularly in another local Waitrose store and the store in Chichester fall way short of that Waitrose store. The lay out is extremely confusing and difficult to find thing. Spent an age looking for Coleslaw which was not with other similar items like hummus etc. Eventually found in the veg and fruit section! Shelves were empty in many parts of the store. Wouldn’t shop in this Waitrose again

I had an unpleasant bowl of vegetable soup today and my husband had a very poor bacon and tomato toast I’ve which contained 2 small rashers of bacon and 2 thin slices of tomato at lunchtime today.Very expensive and disappointingly bad quality for Waitrose.

After walking my feet off doing my Christmas shopping in Chichester I walked to Waitrose (I was meeting my husband there) desperate for a cake, coffee and a sit down. Being Coeliac I needed Gluten Free (GF). The two young ladies serving we absolutely charming but could offer me nothing as they didn't have anything GF. The both said that GF was frequently requested but obviously nothing is done about it. I was told that I could go onto the shop floor and get something and eat it in the cafe but I wanted a piece of cake and didn't want to have to carry a Victoria sandwich, or a defrosting egg custard (which I absolutely adore) in my handbag for the rest of the day.Why can't Waitrose not serve GF cake...it can be served to other customers not just Coeliac especially if it is proper cake such as a carrot cake, or a red velvet cake? They didn't even have the mandatory Brownie (if I eat another Brownie, or am offered one, I might explode. Hate them with passion) or the children's type biscuits.Sadly all I could have was a Latte...despite some wonderful cakes on display but no GF. Waitrose please consider having a GF cake...a grown up cake, not children's biscuits or pre packed Brownie's.

Got your Waitrose card? Good. Then free coffee when you buy a pastry item. Even better when the pastry item is a large slab of coffee cake reduced in late afternoon.

Nice little coffee shop inside Chichester Waitrose. Free coffee, wifi, newspaper, lovely cakes and pastries and happy staff. What's not to like. Thank you Waitrose!

Husband wanted tea and something to eat whilst I did the shopping for our self catering holiday. Not a patch on our home store in Lichfield. Just an area up a corner in the store and plastic cutlery. The cheese and tomato croissant was very sweet and no pot of tea, just a mug. poor for such a premium name as waitrose.

Love the free coffee, staff are lovely. Always welcoming and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Keeping the John Lewis partnership service standards alive.

I like to have a coffee before hitting the shelves in the supermarket. The Waitrose Coffee Shop is small and comfortable. The menu is small, but very adequate for the location. The staff are friendly and polite.

Seriously, who designed these cafes for Waitrose? Sadly none of them seem to be a patch on the cheaper superstores like Sainsurys or Tescos.

This Waitrose cafe is in the Chichester Waitrose store. It opened earlier this year replacing a non Waitrose cafe. It offers the usual drinks (tea & coffee etc), as well as cakes and various sandwiches. There are perhaps a dozen small tables.

Had bad experiences here way back and still sounds like everyone from the staff to the rude manager (Sean) barely know the difference between a tampon and a teabag let alone how to organise smoking to non smoking tables, treat disabled or autistic customers me being one of them or people with various illnesses and similar. I run better pubs and have kept this managers behaviour hot topic which has disgusted everyone I’ve ever worked with. He’s not professional or what the trade looks up to at all… avoid Normally if you see job adverts posted in windows for months on end and no one actually ends up working for you that’s normally because they don’t want to or the manager spends his whole life looking down his nose at the world and won’t find anyone in his toxic mindset. When is it ok to smoke around customers while collecting glasses. Much described all toilets were broken drinks over priced management barely cared to pay customers any attention and are very short tempered with little reason This place ran better when it was called the globe

Un hermoso pub, en un lugar hermoso. El personal era amable y acogedor y la comida era increíble, vivo en Londres, pero sin duda intentaré hacer otra visita, me imagino que sería encantador durante el verano

I was picking up my car from a garage in Kirdford. to think my wife are bringing Me across I decided to stop at the half-moon pub to treat her to lunch as we approach the pub the front door appeared locked however there was no times of opening or closing or no menus we walked around the side to find people inside as we arrived towards the rear of the pub we presented with a beautiful garden and I noticed a rear patio door I opened the patio door and a man said what do you want? I said are you open? His reply was the front door is locked. What does that tell you. I found this to be extremely rude considering they are supposed to be serving the publicyoung lady came up to us and told us sorry sir we’re not opening until midday at this time. It was 1146 whilst the pub was closed. The man’s rudeness has made me realise I never need to visit this pub again. I’m not sure if he’s the owner of the worker chef or just someone in there, but I found his rudeness to be completely and utterly unacceptable on this occasion.
