Would like to say how lovely Sue was our waitress this morning such a charming and lovely person. Please could you let Sue know to mention the band Big Big Train prog band that her husband might be interested in Kind regards Chris Cain

The coffee was fine, the staff were friendly. The sausages in a roll were awful. The roll had 2 small tasteless sausages on a roll as tough as cardboard. Any greasy Joe cafe or burger van would be hesitant to serve up food as poor as this. Surprisingly disappointing

Excellent service, friendly staff and good quality food. The best store cafe in Aylesbury. Ideal for coffee and cake or a light lunch. Breakfasts of bacon or sausages in a roll or sandwich, porridge and pastries. A hidden gem in Aylesbury for a relaxing coffee, lunch or afternoon tea.

Earlier put off by the limited parking time, 1.5 hours then you get fined! Anyway, gave it another try today, very limited cafe satock, particularly for veg or vegan customers. All cheese sadwiches, for example, had ham in too! Anyway, settled for coffee. Senior staff member, sorry, dont know her name, excellent thougn. Picked up some shopping, but not as much as we wanted as had to rush back to car to avoid parking fine. Just made it with a few mins to spare, won't be rushing back!

Only popped in for coffee//cake. Served by lovely staff member. Made myself and friend very welcome even though quite busy. Have been before on similar time but this time was best.

Light and airy, this is a fairly pleasant supermarket cafe and a nice place to read a newspaper and have a coffee.

Typically of Waitrose, the product is nice but the customer service is poor - no effort to deal with customers with any sense of urgency.

We went in on a Sunday morning when the shop was quite quiet. We only wanted a hot drink on a chilly morning as visiting the area and not too sure where to go. We waited 3rd in the queue for well over 10 minutes as the staff were so slow. No-one acknowledged us or apologised for our wait and in the end we gave up and went to the nearby Waterside theatre café where service was much quicker.

We were moored in the canal basin so popped over for breakfast. Service was very slow. This did not bother us as we had bought our morning paper so were happy to sit and read. However our bacon arrived only lukewarm. No rolls as advertised, so had sourdough bread instead.A single espresso was served in a cup which had not been warmed up (barista’s cardinal sin) so was stone cold. Only saving grace was the chilled, and very excellent, Waitrose orange juice. Not a good experience.

NIce restaurant, pleasant staff and lovely coffee. However, there is usually a 10 minute wait to be served and you have to clear the table yourself.

Long wait to get served, tables being cleared by customers to make tables available, I have a weakness for a bacon roll, a weakness that often goes unsatisfied due to rolls not available, or no bacon or sometimes both, astonishing state of affairs in a modern supermarket. Charming apologetic staff, but staffing levels have been inadequate since the day it opened. But the overriding need is to sort the cafe out,

Not for the first time the cafe did not have basic food items. Astonishing given it is run by a supermarket. Staff continue to be charming but the constant apologies are wearing thin now.

My wife and I typically call in around 6:00 pm so there's not a huge choice of food, but there are usually cakes and pastries. The coffee is good (and it's free if you have Waitrose card!) and the staff are always pleasant - even if it's just a few minutes before the cafe closes. It's definitely a good place for a quick cup of coffee (or tea, I expect, although I rarely drink it myself). One word of caution - this listing shows the closing time as 10:00 pm. The STORE closes at 10:00 pm but the coffee shop normally closes at 7:00 - sometimes a little earlier if they're short staffed or sold out!

We arrived at about 5-30pm to ne told that there was no hot food. Sandwiches and coffee were quite good and the only member of staff was very pleasant (and apologetic). What was very disappointing was the quality of the toilets - very smelly. There appears to be no extractor fans!

Aylesbury Waitrose is a relatively new supermarket that has been well designed. The cafe is clean and staff efficient. We have enjoyed the food we have ordered on various occasions.

The selection of cakes is good and very good value. However the service can be slow and there are often tables that need to be cleared.

Had many a good lunch in the cafe and a free coffee if you are a Waitrose card holder. It can be extremely busy at lunchtime and seating sparse.

Overall this is a good Waitrose café, there is always a wide choice of things to eat, and perhaps more importantly the staff are always helpful and friendly. However the only drawback is the small size of the café area, this is reflected in the tight spacing of tables and chairs, with only a couple of more comfortable armchairs provided. For a quick drink and bite to eat though, worth the visit.

A very nice place to relax after work with a cuppa and cake (although sometimes there is not enough selection of cakes), but at least your tea is served in China Tea pot with a cup that matches. And then you can go shopping afterwards,

The staff in the cafe are excellent, just like the staff in Waitress generally. We usually only have their coffee, which is excellent, and with the loyalty card, almost free!It doesn't take many visits before the staff remember what your order will be and can almost have it ready before you order it!The only downside is the popularity of the cafe in comparison to it's size, which means that at busy times (lunchtime) the cafe can be too full to accommodate it's popularity.

If your husband uses your free coffee and you fancy a cheeky hot chocolate and biccy, the Waitrose Cafe is a fab place after your weekly shop. Staff always friendly - Olivia was a great help sorting my flat white from my skinny latte and I had real eyebrow envy. The best things in life are free, except a Waitrose bacon roll. I like my baps juicy, moist and meaty - just how everyone likes it and the bacon rolls aren't too bad either.

Wifey & I had tea whilst shopping and were served quickly and efficiently. The tea was good and the cakes etc on sale looked delicious ! The tables were clean and the view of the wetland, the Waterside Theatre, Ronnie Barkers statue and the main road makes for a nice distraction.

This is the second time I have visited this Waitrose cafe, both times I have had to wait a long time to be served and both times the tables have been full of dirty dishes. When I visited yesterday there was one lady serving, she was making the drinks, bringing out hot food to customers and clearing tables on her way back to the serving area. No wonder there was a long queue! Mean while another member of staff came out of the kitchen area to replenish the trays and cutlery, completely oblivious to all the dirty dishes on the tables or the queue. This is not what I would expect from Waitrose normal high standards. Saying that the sandwiches we ordered were good, just the service and cleaning of tables needs addressing.

This lovely cafe is set at the opposite end of the store from the entrance. Large glass windows at the front of the stor let in lots of light, and give a view over a small wetland area, and the Aylesbury Waterside theatre. While the wetland area is a little bit sparse, as it newly planted, I'm sure it will grow up very soon. The laté I had was excellent, and very good value at £0 if you have a free MyWaitrose card. Temporary cards are available by the till, so you don't need to wait.I've had some of their pastries on other visits, and they were also very tasty and good value. Recommended for a quiet sit down.Note: purchases in Waitrose are not required for your free coffee. One per day per card holder.

I went there on its first day a few minutes after it had officially opened. It was incredibly disorganized and nobody had a clue. Apparently you don't get butter nor butter if you order scones (the girl was new so , I'll give it the benefit of the doubt). Also, they don't actually make cold coffees it is a pre-made mix (like the ones you can buy at any super market) and just poured over ice. The good thing is that if you have a mywaitrose card you get a free coffee! Also, there isn't a real menu (I thought ot would be like a M&S cafe), it's more of like a Starbucks food menu (but without the nice frapuccinos). I'll go back because of the convenience, but I'd be miles happier if the concession was taken by Starbucks! BTW, just like at any Waitrose service is top notch!
