Friendly pub, good beer and the food is lovely. Prices are extremely reasonable too. Alan the landlord will give you a full history of the pub, which is quite extensive. Locals are very friendly and welcoming.

Absolutely fantastic quality food, By far the best mixed grill I have had anywhere in Milton Keynes/ leighton buzzard The char-grilled Meat flavours tasted like heaven 😋 And the price is the Cheapest out of 30 different pubs /restaurants for the mixed grill that I have tried. An absolute must try for anyone after great food at a great price. Thank you Ben Rous.

Was a nice little pub in a quite little village but we waited to be served and was ignored by staff who were chatting away with others. Then rudely asked if we were waiting while in the queue. The garden was lovely tho.

We held a wake here and were very happy with the service everyone provided at the pub. We were worried we wouldn't have enough food for all the people who came but it worked out perfectly and the staff were very pleasant when we had questions or requests. They even opened half an hour earlier for us to help us accommodate the time we would be arriving. The food was all served nicely and delicious and tea and coffee was provided which wasn't even mentioned but a nice surprise and the pub has lots of nice cozy areas to mingle with people you know, perfect for what we needed.

Nice Sizzling food, using a Groupon voucher, good value. No atmosphere, toilets seemed dirty, staff ok.

Sorry but it was awful staff were helpful but food was very slow to appear and cold and place was not even busy so that was no excuse .had 3 mixed grills medium to rare steak so over cooked knife struggled to go through it .sizzler chicken plate I could have picked that up by hand no cloth needed and vegetables had gone mushy been on it so long we were compensated by refund of price of some of the meals but my sons birthday meal was ruined by them .previously food was excellent that's why we chose to go there but never again

We stopped for a burger and chips which were delicious. It was the coldest day of the year and the pub would have benefitted from the welcome of a roaring fire. The food was delicious, and promptly and charmingly served. We enjoyed the meal and noted that it represented good value for money. More fastidious patrons might expect a more up-to-date decor.

We went to the pub for a charity Gingerbread Man decorating, for the kids last Sunday and it was lovely for the kids to meet other kids in the village and they played nicely after too, allowing the adults to have a chat too.

Visited today for Breakfast with Santa! What an incredible experience. Beautiful set up and all of the kids were having the best time. Food was great and the whole experience just added to the magic of Christmas! Thank you!

Reserved the lovely "Cottage" area at The Cock for family and friends to celebrate our daughter's 21st. Pre-ordered off the buffet menu. Food hot and very tasty. Was only going to buy the first drinks for our 15 guests but the bill was much cheaper than anticipated so bought an extra round quite happily! Much less stress than entertaining at home. No clearing up either! Staff very helpful. As the family departed later, all her friends then arrived for the evening and had a great space to drink and chat. Would definitely go back for another celebration.

First visit tonight great service from the bar staff very friendly and quick service, the food was just amazing can’t fault the way it was cooked perfect, the only negative was the time we waited for the food to arrive but for the quality of food I will take that.

I went with friends last Saturday as the pub was advertising live music "Rockin' at The Cock Inn" - didn't know what to expect but when we arrived there was a great set up in the pub garden and the 2 acts that performed were amazing! The first was Destiny, a solo soul act, and what a voice she had! She was absolutely brilliant, covering a great range of soul covers. The second act was Solarzone, they did their own versions of 80's synth pop (Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears, Soft Cell to name a few) and they got the crowd absolutely rocking! Despite how busy the night was (there was easily 150 people there), the bar staff were incredible, always serving with a smile and never got flustered. This pub is pushing live music and long may it continue!

We absolutely love this pub! The landlord is such a great business owner and makes you feel so welcome. The food is great, service is quick and they have some really good events like regular live bands which are all local talent. Solarzone in particular are absolutely amazing! They also have karaoke and disco nights. The only thing that really needs TLC are the toilets.

Our visit to The Cock Inn was planned at short notice. My friend & I had planned a day out in West Wycombe but due to my belatedly finding out that our destination did'nt open until the afternoon I made a quick decision to visit Ascott House in Wing. We wanted to have a pub lunch & a pint so I quickly checked out the nearest pub & came up with the Cock Inn. We turned up not long after mid day with no preconception of what we might find. What we saw initially was a very long building , obviously quite old, sitting on the main drag in Wing. A narrow passage at the end of the pub ( easily missed ) just wide enough for a car leads to a big car park at the rear & also a small pub garden. Very large interior. I noted a bar with a pool table. We went into a large main bar, not very busy , just a few locals. The pub has been modernised to a degree but not spoiled. You can still see old , wooden beams. Plenty of T. V. screens so I imagine it would be a good place for sports watching. Good choice of ales & lagers. My Guinness was the best I've enjoyed for some years & as for the price of our round - exceptionally competitive! Thought I'd travelled back in time. The menu was very well priced , too. Choice for Vegetarians & Vegans plus usual fare. A well run , local pub that deserves to do well.

Nice pub with its own off-street carpark. It is a good size pub either lots of seating to eat. There is a pool table, restaurant and normal bar area. Staff were all friendly and food decent for the price.

Lovely family run pub. All workers are so polite. Very accommodating. Food is cheap and cheerful. My boys love the ice cream sundaes. Dart board and pool table. Live sports playing. Alcohol very well priced too! Definitely would recommend.

The food was lovely and came quickly . The staff were great and polite . The only problem was the locals that were all drunk and swearing . Not a major issue but bit of a dampener . Would not visit again on this basis as it was a little intimidating .

Website states kids eat for £1 between 1500-1900. Table booked online and was told by staff over the phone the discount doesn’t apply until 1700. Spent some time in the car park waiting… As we arrived, staff told us kids eat for £1 finishes at 1500. It was confusing but we clarified it in the end; we COULD use it - it was 1700 then. Just wanted to be crystal clear, we asked if the ‘kids eat for £1’ would cover drinks, as a meal deal, we were told - yeah I think so. We started with drinks from the kids meal deals, as that’s what people would usual order first… as the drinks arrived, we were then told that the ‘kids eat for £1’ deal would only cover food, so we better off forget about the discount, as drinks were £2.20 and it would cost us more to apply the ‘kids eat for £1’ and order the drinks separately… There’s also ‘build your own dish’ option, with a clear step 1 (main) 2 (side) and 3 (veg). We thought it’d be easy enough but apparently the pasta dishes didn’t come with a side and veg, despite being on the same menu… (see photo attached). We dealt with it and decided to move on as all the kids were crying loads at that point… do appreciate staff coming back to tell us that the system had somehow been updated and now we could build our pasta with a side and veg. Throughout the evening, there were a lot of changes in answers, I’m not sure.’, ‘I think so’, ‘I’ll have to check.’ Absolutely nothing wrong with checking, but it’s rather inconvenient and disappointing when you’re out with the whole family with 6 kids moaning. I think anyone with kids could relate to this as sometimes time is money. Frankly speaking, we were there for the convenience and discounts, but we got none.

This morning the children were invited for breakfast to meet santa What an amazing morning I took my 3 Grandchildren So well organised , meeted and greeted at the door , Activities to do whilst waiting for breakfast Then empty plates !!! children tucked in to a superb cooked breakfast and lovely presentation of the meal no time to get bored , after breakfast 2 more activities ,make a reindeer and Christmas card Santa arrived the children were organised into a group so they could all meet him in turn each child was invited by their name and a small gift was given Excellent value for money please do it again next year

First visit to this lovely pub booked a table for my youngest daughters birthday lunch after my elder daughter who lives in wing suggested we give it a visit. What a treat great atmosphere ( typical village pub) food was well presented and very tasty good menu friendly staff allowed to relax and order when we were ready lovely couple of pints of doombar looking forward to eating there again thanks

This was a family get together. Table was booked for 1pm and we ordered our meals which arrived 1.5 hours later. One of our party had totally the wrong meal delivered and we queried the chicken gravy because it tasted like neet chilli sauce. Next minute the chef came marching out of the kitchen holding a box of chicken gravy saying this is what you've been given and being very confrontational and saying she was going to kill herself. Needless to say we will never go back again. It totally spoilt our day.
