Great coffee and homemade cakes are fantastic. Everything is reasonably priced too. Would recommend.

Stopped off on a Motorcycle Ride and grabbed a Takeaway Coffee, Decaf Americano, Extra Shot, with Hot Milk.. Absolutely Delicious..!!

Today we took a trip half an hour away from us to The Flower Pot Coffee shop in Long Crenden, Google Maps said it would only take 24 mins to get from door to door but it took much longer than that. We drove round the middle of nowhere listening to our Richard on Popmaster we even got a shoutout I fist pumped the air and everything 😂😃. Dad had been to this coffee shop before pre Covid in 2014 but said it hadn’t changed, 5 tables in the whole cafe, staff not particularly friendly and the toilet 🚻 facilities very basic. I struggle with holding a cup so prefer a mug which the staff said ‘yes sure that’s no problem’ we were presented with a cup. The decor in the cafe is very basic a bit run down and needs a woman’s touch I think to just freshen things up a bit. Overall, we wouldn’t go back there unfortunately only rating it 3/5 Beautiful view from the window 🪟 on this lovely sunny ☀️ day

Arrived at good 20 minutes before they were due to close on a Saturday, out of courtesy I asked, are are still open, and was shocked to hear in a miserable tone "depends what you're having, we can do takeaway coffee". We had two young children with us and had promised a quick cake after visiting the playground. There were still people sitting eating and drinking so we we were really shocked at this response. We are local but will not be coming back that's for sure. Compared to the service we received from another local cafe just before closing this is a shocking way to run a business.

Easily the most passive aggressive service for miles around! Was left feeling like my custom was a complete inconvenience. 👌 Was going to go back for lunch but just went to Base cafe along the road instead.

I went in to this on a Thursday morning with my daughter. I said “hello” and was told “ there are no seats you can have a take away” I didn't find this any sort of service at all. I wasn't asked what I might be looking for, eat in or take away? No suggestion that if I waited a seat might come available soon. It was a cold and raw day so had no desire for a take away, I left and went to Long Crendon Manor cafe. Plenty of seats, excellent service and good tea and cake.

While the rocky roads are delicious, the service and attitude in this cafe is so disappointing. Have had a particularly rude experience when asking politely for extras I was prepared to pay for I hope to never have to return. Zero charm or customer service. It such a shame this village cafe can’t be a friendlier place to hang out.

Maybe I'm being picky but I didn't enjoy my visit to the Flower Pot cafe, which is located on the main road through Long Crendon, on Saturday 9/7. We visited there during a bike ride. The coffee lacked any depth of flavour and the milk was far too hot (it would have burnt my mouth had I drunk it straight away). The carrot cake was 'heavy' - I regretted eating it once I started cycling again. Service wasn't engaging or particularly helpful - there were no smiles nor an upbeat mood and it wasn't clear whether they'd bring the drinks to the table or not. When I asked, they simply replied with, "where are you sat?". (extra information added following a response from the owner)

Lovely place, staff friendly enjoy are visits on the way to Oxford.

We had lunch here today. The food was lovely and the service was really friendly as well. We're looking forward to going back.

Love the Flower Pot. Great food (try the BLT or the cous cous salad - I have many times!) and quality coffee. Staff always friendly and time for a chat. Free WiFi and Aircon for those two weeks of the summer when you need it in the UK.

Lovely friendly cafe with freshly made cakes, sandwiches hot and cold drinks. Takes its covid precautions seriously so be prepared to wait a moment for your table to be thoroughly cleaned. Happy to adjust menu items within reason to accommodate your diet restrictions.

We had been told about this place by a local in the Village that we were staying at, thanks Paul and Alfie, so decided to take a ride out to try it. The shop was quite empty, but then it was a Wednesday in the middle of the half term, so to be expected I guess. We both had a sandwich. I had the Brie, Cranberry Toastie and my wife had a Cheese and Onion Sarnie. Both were really nice and I forced down a large slice of Carrot cake too.. Nummy. We had the pot of tea between us and the staff were happy to top the pot up with water. This was a perfect place to go as it was only just down the road from where we were staying, but lovely food and Staff.

Really fantastic cake and coffee at every visit. Friendly service. Simply a great coffee shop.

When my sis and I are in UK from Australia The flower pot is our home from home, Helen and her team never fail in their enthusiasm to look after us. Helen makes the best cakes and coffee. Her Brie and cranberry sandwich is to die for. The cafe is small, unique, but the atmosphere is of family. We love it there, can't wait to get back. Thanks guys.

5 of us arrived and queued at the counter to order our food and drink only to be ignored by both the young girl on the till and the lady preparing the food, whilst they may have been busy a quick acknowledgement would have helped. Once ordered the service was slow and lacked and pleasantries. The food was fine, we ate and left, all agreeing it was one not worth visiting again.

Absolutely love the idea of vegware! All compostable takeaway cups, bags, etc. Food was good and hot chocolate tasty. Would go again were I in the area.

It is a smallish place on the main road in a little village, so I wasn't expecting too much. Very pleasantly surprised; beautiful sandwich, cake and coffee and the best milkshake I have ever had in the UK. Very reasonable prices, varied seating arrangements eg tables and chairs, comfy lounge type chairs and outside seating- what more can you want! Congratulations to a great place

Small menu but yummy, nice coffee and very friendly

It is quite a small building but adequate for a smallish group of cyclists with some outside seating. I was welcomed warmly. The latte and pastry that I ordered were taken to my table outside promptly and both were very good. This was my first visit, but I will be leading a group ride via this location quite soon!

Excellent food, plenty of choice, the best staff, so friendly, that was 3 years ago when I visited family on the Square, for 6 weeks I ate there every other day, my sis and I will be back there in 14 days (from western Australia) Save us a comfy sofa we will be back.

This is a nice place for food and drink also a good place within the village for a chat, great bacon sandwich

We stopped here for lunch after a walk around the area and really enjoyed what we had, a couple of toasties, a panini, a tea and coffees. The food was very good, the tables clean with friendly service. I’ve read some of the previous reviews which aren’t too good but we certain had no complaints. This was our first visit so maybe there’s been a change of ownership since last year but I would definitely stop here again if I were in the area.

We had visited this coffee shop some years ago and had made a mental note that we must return when revisiting Long Crendon. There is a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are welcoming and pleasant. A largish group was leaving as we arrived, and the staff were immediately on hand to clear away used crockery and clean the tables. We enjoyed sitting on the large leather sofas in one part of the seating area. The three of us had pots of tea, which was hot, plentiful and of good quality. Special mention must be made of the homemade cakes and traybakes, as good as we have had anywhere. We shall be delighted to return on future visits to this area.

This cafe never fails to deliver - lovely service, great coffee, even better cakes (all homemade) and, on this occasion, the best homemade hot cross buns ever! Great for hungry cyclists. Lots of loyal clientele and a sunny comfortable seating area. Only downside is the the bathroom had a pipe leak... hopefully mended soon. Will be back

Had the soup of the day. Beef and barley. Was superb. Came with a mini loaf of bread. Tasty and good value.

We quite regularly pop in for a quick coffee ad cake. The place is very small. The cakes are delicious and there is a good range for the size of the place. Always friendly and helpful staff.

Having spent some time previously lookin for the Old Court House we were pleased to discover that there was a café in the village. It only holds about 20 and has a few children's toys available. It is quite quaint as it is fairly modern in an old building.

Para el desayuno el sábado apareció en. "Menú de desayuno" consta de tostadas, pan tostado con más tostadas, y tostadas con pan tostado con tostadas - completamente aburrido. Fuimos a preguntar al personal si había desayunos más grande - recibieron con miembros del personal por teléfono que no me molestó para buscar. No visitar de nuevo.

Fuimos en una tarde de domingo para café y salimos de nuevo. Las mesas estaban sucias y pegajosas, el suelo estaba sucio y la silla fui a usar la comida.

Visitamos el café en un viernes a mediodía para una comida ligera. He conducido el pasado este lugar todos los días y desde fuera se ve muy bien. Sin embargo, cuando llegamos no había ninguna interacción del 2 miembros del personal no 'hola' no 'tome asiento". El café era comida muy sucia estaba por todas partes en el suelo, las mesas, etc. y el alféizar paredes parecía que necesitaba una buena limpieza y pintura! Los bocadillos eran comprados a nosotros estaban bien pero podría haber hecho algunos guarnición para que parezca que pusieron algo de esfuerzo. Todavía no desde el compromiso personal de lo que hubiera esperado a decir 'algo más? '. Cuando nos fuimos no siquiera nosotros o decir adiós estaban demasiado ocupados charlando en el mostrador. Creo que esto es horrible para un pequeño café del pueblo que tiene mucho potencial.

He visitado previamente el Macetero y siempre disfrutamos. Sin embargo visitó esta mañana a las 9 de la mañana cuando se abrió. La mujer que servía era antipático, no sonríe o nos saludan y nos pareció que era una molestia para ella. Tarta de café bueno pero pobre. No me alojaría aquí de nuevo después de esta experiencia.

Although its the only coffee shop in the village, it is actually very good! Home made cakes, soups and light lunches, plus full breakfast over the w/es. Great to sit by the window and watch the people go by! Favourite with every member of the family! The should do some more GF / DF cakes, hopefully that will be the case under the new ownership.

Visited Long Crendon to explore the village and discover its needle making heritage. Walked round the village to delight in all the thatched cottages. Then rested in this small but cheerful café while enjoying freshly prepared food and coffee. Cakes all made fresh on the premises and a good variety of sandwiches and jackets available. Staff pleasant and helpful on my "quest" to discover this idilic village.

I was working nearby on and off for a few months. Every time I went in the person serving was friendly and welcoming. The coffee was great and all cakes and snacks really tasty. Lovely Coffee shop in a lovely village.

Saw the cafe when driving through the village on the way to Waddeson-called in on our return -so glad we did. Home made cakes,ice cream etc just lovely.Really pretty setting and the proprietor so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

Was here over the week end 03 06 2012 and stopped by for a Nice Breakfast, cute countryside coffee , really good fresh food, friendly helpful staff ... and i didn't ask but it look like every was freshly done on site.... really nice place on the main road with plenty of parking on the main square opposite the road!!! 8/10
