We always stop here on our way to the coast. Beautiful little tea shop with quirky loos! Food is excellent as is the coffee. Lots of greeting cards for sale too, all lovely quality. Plants for sale outside. Well worth a visit.

Great menu. Highly recommend the smoothies. As a party of 8 we all chose something different to eat and all were enjoyed.

Called in on Thursday when visiting gardens. Very nice ambience, very clean and tidy. Limited range of hot dishes (specials on the board, jacket potatoes etc) but two soups and a good range of sandwiches, panini, etc. I had a ploughman's which was excellent and I thought very good value. (I think about £7). Pot of just about the best tea I've had away from home! The cakes looked very nice but I had no room for one. The gentleman serving was very polite and helpful. Prices perhaps a little expensive but worth it. Overall, couldn't fault it. Will definitely visit again.

Visited today to see the gardens and found their tea shop. Excellent surroundings , friendly staff , very good value and great gluten free options too. Had the homemade elderflower cordial which was lovely and sandwiches with home made bread , salad and crisp. All freshly prepared and very good value. Returned later for tea and cake again home made Apple cakes, orange cake and scones. We will be back.

After reading some very good trip adviser reviews we decided to try this place out. The drinks are quite nice. Other than that, this place is completely over priced. My brother ordered a warm chicken salad. It arrived and it was slices of chicken on iceberg lettuce with a few halves of cherry tomatoes, some cubes of pepper and a bit of onion. This cost £7.20! There was hardly any colour and it was very small. I had a jacket potato and tuna with salad and it was fine. Very basic. The staff were friendly but I would definitely not visit again. Its not worth the money.

You don't have to be a garden buff to enjoy the delights of this Teashop. Access is available without entry to the wonderful gardens. Everything from cakes and snacks to full meals is available and the Aubergine tajine went down particularly well with my companion, while I thoroughly enjoyed a more traditional panini. Delicious homemade cakes and a large range of drinks are also on offer. Don't miss the homemade elderflower cordial in sparkling water. The perfect refresher on a warm day. Service was genuinely friendly and professional.

We visited a while back with a large group of students and teachers on an exchange and we wanted to bring them somewhere quintessentially British - and so we thought it would be appropriate to bring them here! They have a very good range of hot and cold food, and fresh, homemade assortments of cakes and biscuits. The tea was very nice as were the scones, with the clotted cream and jam the icing on the cake! Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys a relaxing setting with helpful staff.

Staying in Lincolnshire for the weekend. Searched the web for easy to get to gardens with a tea room. Goltho Gardens near Market Rasen was the destination. From the minute we drove you just knew it was somewhere to relax. We settled for coffees in the tea room. I think it was separate from the gardens. Coffee was perfect. The cakes looked tempting but it was before 11.00pm so a bit early. The next treat were the gardens. Despite the dying down of some plants due to lack of rain. The gardens were a joy to walk around. Most especially the large pond and the magnificent water lilies. Probably the nicest coffee and garden walk for a long time.

We have often driven past but this was our first time we stopped and called in. We should have done this earlier! It is an interesting collection of buildings and even though winter time, was still showing signs of care and attention. We started off in the Tea Room, where there was a good choice of food. It was tasty and served with graciousness and hospitality. The coffee was lovely, we had seconds! The toilets "The Potting Shed" were clean and freshly painted. So lovely for these rooms not to be 'add ons', again this just reflected on the attention to detail given to this place. We only had a few minutes to walk around the gardens, but were not disappointed. The leaflet had a clear hand drawn map to guide you around, and enhanced the experience. I will try to attach a few photos of the winter gardens. The garden access is suitable for disabled and those with walking limitations, so can be enjoyed by all! We appreciated our brief visit, and will be back again!

Al volver de nuestra escapada de 4 días en Skegness, nos detuvimos en estas salas de té para preguntar si es posible si mi hija de dos años podría usar el baño. Evidentemente es un negocio, pero para ser hablado con el camino que estaba...

This place is a secret, a real hidden gem. My friend and I have been going for a couple of years now and have never, ever been disappointed. I took my Mother and Mother-in-Law for Mothers Day last year and will do so again. The staff are friendly and attentive - there are only two, so you have to accept a little wait during busy times. Ho cares though, they never rush you and you could stay for hours just liking at the garden! As for the food, it's simply wonderful. All freshly made and home made on the premises. I I always have the soup rolled by sweet. This is because it's always fresh from the garden and in season. It also comes with freshly baked, warm bread - to die for- and plenty of butter. Portions are generous and there is a great selection, without being fussy. I've always, always found the desserts to be of high quality. I'm at a loss as to how the other reviewer wasn't impressed by the 'deconstructed' crumble. I can only say that you will not find microwaved, stodge at Goltho, ever. They offer gluten free and, I'm pleased to report, a good selection of caffeine free - including Roobush (Redbush). A firm favourite for our 'ladies' afternoons out.

Just had the cheesiest scone in Lincolnshire followed by a divine, if unusual, gooseberry crumble. My friend had the choccy nutty brownie with roasted plum sorbet. wow. Conversation stopped for a full five minutes punctuated only by mmmmm's. We've been going the Goltho Gardens for a few years now and the food is always spot on. Its always a pleasure talking to all the staff in the café or garden. The new(ish) tea room has a great view of the plants on sale, we nearly never leave without one. Go on... treat yourself! ;-)

I took my mum as a treat this afternoon. She ordered gooseberry and elderflower crumble and a filter coffee. I ordered a cheese scone and a dandelion coffee. When the order arrived we could not detect which coffee was which- both equally tasteless. The crumble was a joke more like an oatcake sitting in juice and cost £4. We wont be back. Doddington Hall café is so so much better.

I called here Yesterday on my way to Sutton on sea, I've done a review on the Goltho Gardens site and then found this one. I found the tea rooms very nice and clean, the owner was pleasant and helpful, and the coffee and home made cheese scone most enjoyable and tasty, Nice to have a hot and nice flavour coffee, as unbelievable as it seems lots of places cant even get this right. The tea rooms are in a very nice location, and there is plenty of parking. I've past the sign many times for this place, but its the first visit for me. I will return and visit the gardens in the near future, these can be seen on the very good website.

The tea shop is an excellent place for good home made, beautifully cooked food. What a gem of a chef, I could take her home with me, I don't know how she does it all. I will be making a return visit as soon as possible.

The Tea shop provides great home cooked food making full use of home grown produce. The bread and cakes are home made and the sticky toffee pudding is the best I have tasted.

Had lunch there with my husband today and we both had the Wolds platter which was substantial and very tasty. Beautifully presented and using local cheeses and meats. Highly recommended and we will return to sample more of their varied menu in the near future.

One of the best restaurant meals I’ve had in many months. We went on impulse to celebrate my partner’s birthday yesterday evening, having had a very bad experience there in the past when it was owned by someone different. The food was superb and the service was efficient and friendly. Highly recommended and we’ll most definitely be going again
