Waggy's Coffee Shop in Test Valley

Tucked away in the heart of Hampshire, The George Inn is a quintessential English pub that feels like a warm embrace on a chilly evening. The staff here are nothing short of wonderful, striking the perfect balance between friendly and professional, making you feel like a regular even on your first visit. All locally sourced meats from local farmers and roasts are 10/10. I recommend the steak sandwich to dip in the gravy. A proper old school freehouse!

Thank you Simon, David and the team. I visited twice over the weekend and everything was superb. I had to rush for a train on the first visit, so was offered the chance to have the remainder of my drink to takeaway. Today my brunch was delicious and the menu was plentiful. It was hard to decide what to have! I’m looking forward to the next monthly Sunday Roast in December!

Lovely evening in the Crook & Shears last night. Great choice of food and well presented. The staff are wonderful and brilliant choice of ales.

Looks and feels like a pub, with comfy seating and fireplace, but the food was amazing and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Had a great meal here.

We booked here as a Birthday Meal and pre warned when booking that in the party we had a Gluten Free Allergy requirement. When booking in at the Restaurant we asked for a Gluten Free Menu. Our order was taken and within the 5 for £20 starters requested 2 lots of GF Garlic Bread. When the starters came out all were on one platter and not separated and after a couple of minutes waiting requested plates to be able to eat/share the food and at this point was told 'by the way the Garlic Bread is not Gluten Free, we didn't have any'. Thankfully my son had not started to eat!!! We then asked for the Food to be taken away and was brought back 10 minutes later as 2 no Gluten Free Buns toasted with Garlic Butter. The main meal of a Burger and Chips came out with the same bun, which was not eaten as already had enough...... Safe to say the 10% added service fee we took off. Very disappointed.
