Great vegan food, great service by Rodrigo.

Wagamama is always a great choice. The place is always quite crowded, but the service is excellent and efficient. Very good and tasty food. Friendly and proactive staff. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend the place for those who like spicy food. The only flaw is that accessible places are limited to the ground floor (at least I didn't see any elevators).

We had such a lovely experience dining here, and a big part of that was thanks to Rodrigo, our waiter. From the moment we sat down, he was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. He made us feel right at home, gave great recommendations, and checked in just the right amount throughout the meal. It’s rare to find service that feels both professional and genuinely warm, but Rodrigo nailed it. Thank you for making our visit so special — we’ll definitely be coming back!

Saying that the service was excellent is not enough, we had the chance to be served by Rodrigo, a super nice person who made our lunch very special. We would like to thanks him for all he did, very professional and nice.

A restaurant for people who have never had authentic Asian food. It is not a localized fusion of Asian flavors at all. The three flavors of sweet, sour and salty are too strong. Drinks are OK, but the food is not recommended.

Larger menu than I remember. Food was good - recommend to just pay with your card! The qr code to pay took longer than the time it took to eat our meal.

Soulful food. Warm, homely, comforting. Ordered their katsu chicken curry and grilled chicken ramen. Both were good. Large portions. Came with some salad on the side. I found the dishes here to be mild and subtle, catering well to the British palate. Not sure if this is the most authentic version but it's a great spot for those who prefer a gentler introduction to Japanese cuisine.

The food and drinks were fine, but I don’t like the seating arrangements. The open-plan kitchen makes the smell of food overwhelming.

Ordered chicken katsu curry and crisp duck dumplings to be delivered and it was as good as expected.

Food was great - mum’s first time trying Japanese cuisine and she loved it - the Ebi Katsu in particular. Naeem was a great host, very friendly and efficient. Consistently looked after us while we were there and all round great service.

i got food poisoning five days ago and i’ve heard nothing from the company since emailing them. absolutely appalling. will never be returning.

Avoid, one of the worst experiences at a chain restaurant in a long time. Firstly about 12 people huddled together in the door way, while people are pushing through to get up the stairs to visit the toilets with chefs in their overalls pushing through with food. No one came out to see who we were are what any of us needed, we all commented on how strange this was…we were there for about 15 minutes until we realised they open the door and say how many, 2? 3? Any allergies. Finally being sat next to a dirty table (wasn’t cleaned until a table of 4 came) waiter came to take our drinks we mentioned one of us had an allergy and as we know one of the managers need to take this! They said they will be over shortly…25 minutes later, during this time we watched as there were 3 managers (we’ve figured out it’s the ones dressed in black) one kept looking over at us but never came over the other stuck doing takeaways and the other just walking around. We noticed how many dirty tables there were throughout the restaurant. A waiter came over to see if we were ready we mentioned we are waiting for a manager finally they came, no apologies for waiting we commented we were waiting a long time but didn’t even notice what we said. The food came, ““Allergy bowl” dropped down, next dish came name announced, 5 minutes later ”“Allergy Curry” …fine. No check back, the food bowls were then stacked infront of us and didn’t even ask if the food was ok. We scanned that code and couldn’t pay quick enough and got out of there. What has happened to Wagamama!! We love it but this experience has surprised us.

Saved my Chinese stomach and finally had rice. In terms of taste, I feel it is more Southeast Asian, sour and spicy. The waiters are also super nice!

Service extremely slow and waiters forgot about my order twice, blanking me when I wanted to pay. Left sitting in a corner trying to get their attention to no avail. Very very poor

What you would expect from any other Wagamamas, but everything is up to that standard. Great Japanese food, immaculate vibes and friendly staff. There is always a buzz. What’s not to like.

The Wagamama in Oxford offers what you would expect from a Wagamama. The food is absolutely delicious and as always with fresh ingredients and freshly prepared. The staff is super friendly and attentive. You will receive very good advice when choosing dishes. Personally, I think it's great that you can pay directly on a website, so you don't have to wait when you're finished and want to leave. This is Wagamama standard and I highly recommend it.

We got the pork gyoza and the beef bao. The bao was really good but the gyoza wasnt our thing. We also got the coconut curry and the katsu curry which were both very good

We were sat very speedily and felt instantly comfortable in the familiar Wagamama dining room. Xav was our server and he was nothing short of exemplary for how any waiter should be! Quick and polite service paired with really tasty food. Will be returning soon!

Food was amazing and service from Radhika was top notch.

The staff was very polite and made sure we were satisfied with our food and help us with whatever we needed. We didn’t try a lot of dishes but the plates we ordered came fast and they were delicious And even though there were a lot of people in the restaurant the atmosphere was really nice and not that loud.

We ate here tonight with our family and friends. The food was delicious and we had wonderful service from Xavier, who also went the extra mile to post my daughter’s magazine back to her after she left it in the restaurant. Thank you! Highly recommend this Wagamamas!

Food was cold and tasted off. It looked like it was cooked and left to sit. When we told the waitress, she got aggressive and said this is what it is. For what you pay, this was appalling. The staff don't really care, you are better of going to an independent resturant. Last time I go to this chain.

I was really disappointed with my recent visit to Wagamama. I used to go a lot when I was younger, but the quality and taste of the food have gone downhill. I ordered the chilli chicken ramen and the salmon carpaccio starter. The ramen was cold and tasteless, and I had to add a lot of chilli oil, chilli powder, and soy sauce to make it decent. It made me sad because Wagamama used to be one of my favourite places to eat. The interior and decor are still lovely, but I won’t be coming back anytime soon. I hope they improve.

Hi everyone, we have been to wagamama restaurants a few times and the experience was great everytime, I must say they just get everything right, the food was fresh, cooked well, tasty and very well presented, its always busy there and that shows you that this place doing a good job, really authentic asian dishes and the sizes are massive, if you are not hungry one dish will do for 2 people, highly recommend stopping to them if you go in Oxford town centre !

Visited Wagama oxford with a few friends recently.The best Japanese cuisine I have tasted in a while. I ordered beef ramen and it was delicious and we ordered some sides as well Chilly squid to name a few.The service was quick as well. Omkar suggested us to try raisukaree which was amazing glad we listened and order what he suggested. Thanks. Will visit again in the near future.

I ate the dandan noodles, but as others commented, the taste was bland, and for some reason the kimchi topping was added. I realized that the ramen I eat overseas is not delicious no matter where I go.

They are offering lots more vegan options. Even though I'm NOT vegan I've tried a few and they are delicious. What would be really nice would be if they got the hand dryers in the toilets to work!!!

I absolutely love this place! The food is authentic and delicious, and the service is efficient and friendly. The only drawback for me is the relatively loud music, which in turn elevates the volume of everyone's conversations and the whole restaurant. Other than that, Wagamama is amazing!

I dont think i have ever left a restaurant review. I must have eaten in wagamamma a 100 times . my wife and i went to itsu in oxford for a meal it was so revolting we left it all. We wanted some noodles so we went to this place thinking well at least we know what we will get will be edible. i am afraid we were completely wrong. Like all wagamamma when you order for some reason your order comes bit by bit over time. first we got a bowl of rice then about 10 minutes later another dish came then about 10m minutes after that we got the main dishes by which time the rice and first dish were cold we asked for a new bowl of rice which they served we then set about trying to eat the main course which was almost indebible including the earlier dish. i left half my dish my wife about 3/4 we then got a bill for £35 . We left with a revolting taste in our mouth and had to go to a cafe to eat something sweet to take the awful taste away . The restaurant had about maximum 10 people in it but you would have thought it had a 100 the way the place was run it was about 5.30 so maybe it was a change of shift or something. i dont think i will ever go to wagamamma again anywhere. The staff were OK but seemed to be a bit confused about everything . There appears to be nowhere in oxford worth eating in which is strange when you think it is a tourist and student hotspot. I would give no stars if possible for the food

In my humble opinion as Japanese, Katsu Curry was fake.

We've been given a very tasty food ...nothing to complain about.

My order number #8092 had peppers even though I called them immediately after I placed the order to request them to remove some of the ingredients as I am allergic. There is no option to remove them on deliveroo and instead of being understanding the lady who I spoke to at 10:51pm Friday 22nd March 2024 still said she won't tell the chefs to not include them in my meal. I'm very unhappy that I have paid for a meal with ingredients that I am allergic to & will be seeking a full refund. I am disappointed in this service & will not be returning

The Thai chilli margarita is not for the faint of heart, nor the faint of will. In fact only a true colossus can withstand the heat of the chilli followed by the fire of tequila 🔥🔥

We were served by Xav who was very accomadating, even with our request to have two flavours of gyzoas on one plate! Very friendly and food was delicious as usual. 10/10 for service and food.

Never disappoints Delicious food Very lively and lovely service Omkar ( our server ) was very helpful with recommendations and explained the dishes well to my grandparents who were visiting… I was quite impressed with his knowledge of the menu and friendly attitude that made my family so comfortable… Lilia who was managing the tables was so fun and accommodating … she helped us find a large table in a very busy time Will definitely will visit again and recommend while visiting Oxford.

The place has been going down for ages but the last visit was a disgrace … curries that have the world smallest prawns at the price tag for a king prawn ones, overcooked chicken starter and a sloppy chilly squid. I am done with Wagamama if Oxford represents what Wagamama is.

The noodles are not cooked properly and stick together, and the tantanmen has a unique taste made by soaking cilantro and kimchi in bland water. The menu shows Korean and Japanese cuisine, but this is neither Korean nor Japanese cuisine. British-style Japanese food was not easy to taste.

Great place with great vibe, waiters with good knowledge of the menu, and recommended dishes. 👌 we keep coming back and we love it every single time

Very delicious! Service was pretty decent, queue fairly short. Keep in mind it may be queuing at least five families out the door at peak time.

Absolutely disappointing. Normally I don't have a problem but not only did I receive uncut vegetables I received hotpot with chili oil when I asked without the broth it self tasted like pure water just extreme spiciness. And I still had to pay for it as they were sure I didn't have chilli oil in however I had a nice hot pot here before and had it with chili oil which then I asked without as I couldnt handle how spicy it was so I knew they didn't do it without

the food was below average. we ordered a food which had chiken and pawn. then we asked to remove the pawn. but instead of adding more chiken or at least vegetable, they just brought a nuddle with 2-3 pieces of small chiken!!! so yes, we paid for a plain nuddle! so disappointed!

Cooked frozen chicken had a funny taste and was very hard, the rest of the food and drinks were good.

Came for a quick lunch and the restaurant was not busy. Despite this my food was not hot. When (politely) pointing this out to the waitress, there was no apology, only an aggressive denial. For the prices now being charged, cool noodles are simply not worth it. What a shame.

Resumen: servicio lamentable, comida fría, higiene pésima. Desde el primer momento nos atendieron fatal. Vinimos porque buscamos en internet mejores restaurantes asiáticos y nos salió este. Sin duda no repetiremos. Perdieron la comanda de tres de nuestro grupo, sirvieron a todos y se despreocuparon, a pesar de verse claramente que había 3 personas que no tenían comida. Tuvimos que avisar 6 veces a dos camareras distintas para que al final nos hicieran caso y volvieran a pedir los platos. Cuando llegaron, se habían equivocado con los platos que habíamos pedido y uno de ellos venia no con UNO, sino con DOS pelos.

The WORST ramen I ever tasted. I work as a private chef and they served me OLD RAMEN, the smell was sooo bad that I almost vomit. This is not the first time. I’ve been trying in different Wagamamas, different cities, but Oxford is always the worst…

disappointing! ordered the belly pork ramen.. don't get much for £15. few thinly sliced pork belly that's been fried.. not much ramen nor other ingredients.. the good things are the fresh bean shoots. soup base was ok. not very authentic Japanese.. you won't find this in Japan. won't be returning.

Not for black people. My first experience with something that looks like racism. I don’t usually give a hoot about such stuff because I think colour has nothing to do with being dumb or having a low IQ. Maybe it’s rascism maybe it’s not but I was expected to hold a menu and place an order standing plus wait for the food for 15minutes while standing. Amazing ! This lady had me standing at the door with a menu. I went back to ask her if that’s what really happened or I was jaded. The reply was : customers order their food then hang around and come back to pick it. They had an empty space upstairs but that is not usually open. However clients went up while I was standing there and clients went up when I passed earlier and had walked all the way to west gate then decided to come back and order a meal. She said : priority seating is for those who eat in and that she meant I could take a seat but if people came in then she would have to seat them first. Despite the attempts to confuse me, it really is clear what happened here. I’ve never had Wagamama before and someone literally chatted me up that night and said go try their food. There are lots of nice restaurants on the roof top of west gate mall and that’s where I was initially headed. I won’t miss what I’ve never eaten.

Overall the food was tasty. My only reason it's a 4 star was the Ramen noodles were a bit soft on the bite or was over cooked slightly.

I’m a huge Wagamama fan and really enjoy the food and trying new dishes. Today I went to the Wagamama in Oxford and had Judith as my waitress and this has yet been the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. She is so attentive, polite and joyful. Thank you for making our experience even better due to your service.

Exactly what was needed after a very long day. We both needed 'warming soup', so I was delighted with my chilli chicken ramen, and my wife really enjoyed her chicken ramen.
