Wife had curry and it was fine, I had noodles with sirloin steak strips. The noodles were fine but the steak was really tough and spoilt the meal.

Love Wagas and this was broadly really good. My firecracker lived up to its name, I was sat there sweating, delicious! Kids loved their fish bites and katsu (daughter said the katsu was the best thing she'd ever tasted) and my wife had a good dish too. Bao buns very good, dropping a star for the bang bang cauli. The sauce was drizzled over the top rather than fully immersive like usual: the bigger issue is it used green shoots, which made inedible. Should never have been served. I raised it to our server (who still hadn't brought our tap water) who apologised and asked if we wanted it recooked. By then it was too late so we politely declined. I was surprised to see it still on the bill when I went to pay, which was really disappointing.

We always have a great experience at wagamamas. My daughter enjoys the children's menu, and they always accommodate any requests to make to dishes such as no onions or swap rice to noodles etc. Our favourite server is Celest!! She's always great and serves with a smile.

Excellent waiting service from Gabriel. A jewel in the crown of Wagamamas. She litterally made the experience for us this evening.

Visited Wagamama at Gloucester Quays on a weekday night, and were shown to a table. We all ordered ramen, and chatted while we waited for our food. What really surprised us was that the ramen took a really long time to be served when the restaurant had very few customers. We saw several bowls on the counter and what we initially thought were bowls waiting to be washed, were actually our ramen sitting on the countertop for ages. Needless to say, the ramen were overcooked from soaking in the soup for so long that they are too soft, and the soup is actually almost lukewarm. The quality of the food and service is simply atrocious. I would give zero stars if I could. We will not be coming back to this restaurant. I actually gave feedback to Wagamama in September 2023 but no one from Wagamama was interested enough to contact me for details. I seldom give such a bad rating but I think Wagamama management should do a mystery shopper test at this location and then do the same at other branches, and find out the root cause of the disparity in food and service quality. There are so many negative reviews of Wagamama Gloucester Quays and it seems no action has been taken, and someone must be sleeping on the job. We had good experience visiting Wagamama elsewhere but now we are apprehensive about visiting Wagamama in general.

Just ordered from wagamama for dinner and it was the worst ever. I got a hot katsu but it came as a regular katsu, the sauce wasn’t separate so by the time I got my food it was all mixed up and soggy. The sauce wasn’t like the usual katsu. It was so dark and lumpy and just didn’t taste nice or look appealing. We also ordered pork belly Raman with extra pork and we didn’t get the extra port so it definitively wasn’t worth almost £20. To be honest I don’t have a single good thing to say. Really disappointed

Had the displeasure of visiting this appalling excuse for a restaurant this evening. Arrived at 8:10pm. Half the restaurant seemed to be empty. Asked for a table for 3. We were led to a very busy table and offered seats wedged in between other people / families eating. People were asked to shuffle up a bit to squeeze us in. I asked if we could sit at the empty table along side this table and was bluntly told this area was shut off, so ‘No’. LIE No 1 We sat down and started to look at the menu. The lights over our area of the table suddenly turned off. I asked if they could be turned on as we couldn’t read the menu and was told it was the evening ‘settings’ for the table lighting in the restaurant, ALL of the other lights in the entire restaurant were all still on, clearly the evening setting was to turn off one single light…yeah right. LIE No 2. Noticed the adjacent table now had 3 new customers sat at it, the same table we were refused less than 2mins previous, apparently the closed off area wasn’t as closed off as it seemed. We Ordered some food which in the end took 50 mins to arrive. How long does it take to cook 3 simple starters. It was ok food, nothing special, certainly not worth the wait. Then the real quality service kicked in….a person who purported to be running the show came over and asked if their was a problem. I did the decent thing and offered to explain what my ‘problem’ was away from the entire table so as to not publicly rip them to shreds in front of numerous other customers trying to eat. After a pathetic ‘sob story’ from said person ‘purporting to be in charge’? he totally ignored my issues, I gave him a fair chance (3 chances to be exact) to resolve the situation but he clearly was struggling to distract himself from his problems coping with running a half empty restaurant, that he simply ignored me. This was the moment of truth for this clown to save the reputation of Wagamama’s and it sailed right past him…. Genuinely I don’t think he had a clue what customer service even was…. He had half an effort to argue the lights were broken but seemed stumped when I said they were on when we arrived, no they are broken he said…LIE No 3. I returned to our table and waited for our food, suddenly the lights came on…..it was nothing short of a miracle, from totally broken to working without a sole touching them, we were blessed……or did they just think it was funny to turn our lights off. I’ll let you judge. The lights remained on for the rest of our meal, no hint of a problem. More customers arrived and were sat in the closed off area..clearly not closed off then was it? Honestly the entire serving staff look like they would struggle to get themselves up in morning let alone deal with customers. During the duration of our terrible meal most of them hovered by the bar having a good laugh with each other and were seemingly more interested in the deliveroo and just eat drivers calling than actual customers in front of them. Their are lots of much better restaurants in Gloucester Quays, I’ve eaten at most of them over the years and Wagamama’s is right there at the very bottom of the pile for service and food if I’m honest. My advice if you are thinking of visiting, DON’T….find somewhere else to eat and save yourself a world of misery. I can hardly wait to see if the corporate PR machine at Wagamamas tries to serve up some elaborate justification of the above. That will be funny, and please PR team don’t forget to make something up about lighting and miracles. I’ll certainly never set foot over the door step of this dump again… and I’m going to make it my mission to tell ALL MY FRIENDS, WORK COLLEAGUES AND FAMILY How lovely our visit was.

On our much needed weekend away we wanted to experience the laid back life and restaurants at Gloucester Quays.on our first night we had a fabulous meal at “the Greek on the dock… excellent… Saturday evening we decided on Wagamamas….Absolutely dreadful dreadful service (not from the waitress)… waitress said when we went in “do you know your meals may come at different times” as long standing fans we said “yes we’ve eaten at Wagamama for years”.. my chicken Katsu came 5 minutes later delicious … I had finished mine. 45 minutes later I went up to the waitress and said I know you have this policy that some foods come before others but I’ve finished my meal and my husband is still waiting for his..…. 45 minutes wait is absolutely ridiculous. I would not in a million years have paid for this meal/service a horrible experience to our much needed weekend away.. never again..however the food was nice..my husband does not like to complain.. and just paid the bill…. Sort this dreadful service out Wagamamas…

We went to wagamama today as a group of 5. We've never eaten at anywhere like it before, and to be honest, we weren't impressed. The people in there were nice, and the resturant was brimming, so I'm assuming other people like it. We were just really disappointed at the food timings, as all the food came at different times, where one party members food came out once everyone else had finished. I also dislike the concept of paying online, as there was no other option so we had to. The food wasn't necessarily to our taste, but I think that's probably us. Its not a bad resturant, just not amazing.

I absolutely adore Wagamama, and have visited many of their restaurants, including this one, but I've never had an experience such as this. As one knows, the food does arrive at different times, when cooked, so I wasn't too worried when my main meal didn't arrive. However, by the time we'd had the sides, the children had had theirs and my two adult companians had had their mains, and all were just finishing, I did ask if they had forgotten about me. The waiter went to check, and came back saying that they were sorting out an allergy meal, and mine would be with me in two minutes. It did arrive in that time (all the family had finished their meals by now), and looked absolutely yummy. I always have the Pad Thai, but this time I chose one of the curries. Some of the vegetables in it were burnt at the edges, but I thought little of it, until I tasted the beautifully coloured green sauce - it tasted of charcoal. It must have been horribly burnt in the pan. It was AWFUL. We called them over. They were very apologetic and they offered to do a replacement, but by this time the children were getting restless, so I said no. I also then remembered that our Cauliflower side dish didn't materialise (even though they'd put it on the bill that we'd asked for), so as we were about to leave they brought it over and I munched on that whilst we were settling the bill. They didn't charge for my curry, and the cauliflour was taken off the bill too, but not sure if I want to go there again.
