Abus Fish and Chips in Gloucester

My order all thought delicious! Had fish and chips and chicken kebab etc. Thank you to you as had a slight hiccup with order that was totally my fault not yours. Will definitely order again from here and thank you. X

Food was Tasty and arrived hot but the chicken inside the kebab is less compared to previous orders

I can't recommend Abu's enough. Food was delivered piping hot, food is delicious. The staff are very sweet and make sure they get the order right. I love Abu's, I will won't go anywhere else. 5 stars all round. Our favourite x

Chicken tikka Kebab was tasty, all the food was hot including the fries which is fantastic, one thing could be improved is spicy fillet burger is not at all spicy

Staff very rude and ignorant. Just spoken too them on the phone and extremely rude. Told them I’m a regular and still very disrespectful In the way they spoke. I live near the takeaway shop and will be speaking too the owner. Disgusting attitude. Very disappointed as when the owner is about I get treated with respect, when the owner is not around the employees think is acceptable too speak and treat there customers with pure rudeness and get away with it. The owner needs too employ people who treat there customers with respect and being friendly. THIS IS A BIG REASON WHY THE BUSINESS IS GOING DOWN HILL! The owner is a really nice bloke and needs too get this sorted as it’s coming out of his POCKET!! Ill buy off you again but one more bit of rudnesss you’ve lost a long time regular!

I was reluctant to give a bad review but this is the 3rd time it has happened. Unless your Asian do not go here or you will be ignored. Staff overlook you and serve all Muslims first clearly standing behind in Que. if your English they will give it in a box this is too be able to give you less food and all Muslims get it in paper. I questioned this in shop and they state paper was asked for which is a complete lie as I was stood there when they ordered. Serving staff are ignorant and rude, whereas owners used to brilliant. I won’t be going to this place again. I’m severely disappointed to be have been ignored and treated like that and will be sharing my experience with family and friends to boycott this establishment

Beat fish & chips I've had - completely halal batter used (some places use beer batter etc, but not this), and everything made fresh in front of your eyes. Run by the same family that own the Zanzibraai grill next door, and they both share the same excellent customer service and high standards.

Exccelant Fish & chips good to buy and also makes your mouth watery and if you are famish you may go to abu chips shop high street gloucester.

Lovely fish and chips BUT social distancing measures not being exercised. People wandering in and out, no floor markings, packed shop, no perspex screen on counter, staff not wearing gloves or masks, handling cash and food with no hand washing in between.feel sure this is breaking health and safety under the current circumstances.will not use shop again until measures are put in place

The best chips I have had in years. No exaggeration. The wife's fish was huge and crispy. Everything fresh and piping hot. Very reasonable prices and good portions. Will definitely be returning. 5 stars all the way!

Appalling fish and chips this evening which I was forced to throw away. A complete waste of £6 and ruined the usual Saturday night takeaway. The batter was soggy, thick and rock solid at the edges, and the oil the chips were fried in was stale. I knew it was going to be rubbish as soon as I drove off as the smell of the meal in the car was far from appetising. Will go elsewhere in the future unless they improve their standards - plenty of alternatives nearby. ........................... Hi, I have the right business, Google provides a photo of your shop which makes errors unlikely. I was served by a young lady with glasses. What disappoints is the manner in which you try to deflect a poor review by intimating that it must be my mistake. My view was based on yesterday's experience and is genuine. I do not usually leave reviews but was so annoyed that I felt compelled to publish my view. Whether you choose to take on board my comments is your decision.

Rubbish, they don't take phone order ,we try to make an order by phone to save our time ,they said we have to come to the shop first and then place order and then wait to make it, terrible customer service. Never come back to them.

Ordered chips beans and cheese when the shop was empty. Took 20 mins and had about 4 beans on!
