One doesn’t normally expect top notch food and service from airport restaurants, so this was a very pleasant surprise. I had a delicious meal that arrived in good time, and the waiters were all terrific. My server, Lauri, was particularly talented - extremely professional, warm and polite. Keep up the great work! Will definitely come back the next time I’m at Gatwick.

I love wagammammas. I didnt have time to stop here and get food as I had a flight to catch but the food here is great. I bought a wrap from Pret as it is easier to carry than noodles. Saying that, I ended up eating the wrap I bought at pret before getting on the plane and got another one in a pret near the boarding gate.

I had the misfortune of visiting Wagamama recently, and I genuinely wish I hadn’t. First, I made the mistake of ordering a juice—£7.50 for a lukewarm, sad excuse for a drink that tasted like it had been sitting out all morning. No ice, no freshness, just disappointment in a glass. Then came the so-called breakfast. Cold, bland, and utterly vile. I don’t know how they managed to ruin something so simple, but they did. It tasted like it had been cooked hours ago and left to die on the plate. For the price they charge, I expected something at least edible, but Wagamama somehow managed to fail at even the basics. Never again.

The first time I visited Wagamama in Gatwick airport in north side airport on 1st Feb 2025 and had a very bad experience with the food as I found the insect in my food after I ate all of my prawns side and saw in gravy topping with insect and I showed the same to the server and he took the food to the manager and he said someone will come and attend me but till I finish my ramen menu no one came and attended me on this case and it’s n serious issue of food finding with insect and it’s food and safety issue need to be raised to the food safety officer as the restaurant people just ignored me and ask me to pay for food as I ate my food and she said she will offer me a drink instead of not charging me for the food I ate with insect the manager lady who spoke to me is so rudely attended me… I will never visit the restaurant again and will sure report to the food safety officer regarding this with photo.She is not concerned about the food safety but she is concerned about offering the drink to me

Attended Wagamamas Gatwick North last Tuesday, service was completely shocking. Had to ask four times for some tap water and people who arrived after us were getting their food first. After waiting a while a member of staff told us they had delivered our food to the wrong table. We had to wait an additional amount of time and made us late to boarding our plane. The server name I have on my receipt is Anta, and if this was the lady who was serving us she made a patronising comment to me and my sister and was the one I had to ask four times for some water. Really disappointing, Wagamama’s is normally my go to but this experience has put me off. I wasn’t going to write a negative complaint as one of the staff at Gatwick ended up giving us a discount as the food got delivered to the wrong table, however as I woke up the following day with another charge to my account. Despite begin in contact with Customer Service and emailing last Wednesday there has been no response. Honestly a really disappointing experience and to be charged twice is beyond frustrating.

We love Wagamama, superb food, great atmosphere & excellent service. A very big thank you to Zaima who has looked after us on our last 2 visits. So incredibly professional and kind. What a great person to have on your team 👋👍💋. It is so nice when you have had a very stressful day, we were doing a day trip from Málaga to London 3 hour delay on way out and a 5 hour delay back. But we went along to Wagamama to cheer ourselves up and we certainly did,was served by Zaima again so we knew we were in good hands and had a very happy 3 hours there. Had fantastic food & wine and love that the sauvignon blanc s now served in new cardboard packaging. Update: bad service. I ate my meal and all was fine. I just paid on card. Later, I found out my flight was cancelled and due to getting a flight tomorrow, I realised I could get my meal expensed as ordered after the cancellation so needed to get a receipt. I went back to the restaurant - granted it was near closing but there were still customers inside eating. I stood at the entrance for about 2 mins - staff saw me but just ignored me. I then went to the bar and the 2 staff members saw me, turned their backs to me and continued talking to each other for at least another 2 mins. When they finally turned around and I was still there, they spoke to me - I assume they had hoped that I would've got the memo and left without a word, NOPE lol. They then beckoned who I assume is the manager to deal with it (man, 30-40, asian) who was being very abrupt and almost rude to me as I didn't know the table number. I took him to where I had been sat and I saw the waitress who had served me, she came over and he was instructing her on closing down the restaurant - just when they finished talking, I went to say that she had served me so would be able to find the entry quicker, and he snapped at me "I'll lead on this." Sorry, I didn't realise I worked for you. I was trying to help lol He then was at the til, and kept saying "what was the amount? What was the amount? I need the exact amount or this will be very difficult", this was even after the waitress had said it was £19. I was trying to get the transaction up on my phone but the banking app was slow, and he just seemed annoyed and kept rushing me. Very odd behaviour to be honest, as was treating me like I'd committed a cardinal sin. Like, I get it's annoying I didn't know the table number or amount off the top of my head but looking on a til and clicking a few buttons isn't that taxing. The man needs a holiday as he's clearly stressed and can't wait 30 seconds for an app to load without pulling his hair out. "I'll lead on this", mate, I'll lead your bad attitude to the bin. Original: Busy but they got me in. They ran out of a lot of veggie items so had to change my choice from firecracker curry to veg katsu. Food as expected- tasty and decent portion. Not loving the fact they push you to download an app to pay, you can pay normally though and not tip if you dont want to! Services was fine.

On one hand, Jamie and the rest of the staff are lovely. Service was grand and even with a full house and loads of things going on, they took the time to give me a stellar service. I think their app to pay is fairly new so I'd recommend paying AFTER downloading the app and creating an account, not through the web platform, if you want to collect points and claim rewards, the process is not 100% ironed out yet. The food was really good for the price and speed, so I wouldn't think twice, just seat and enjoy

Today, as I am flying from Gatwick airport, my wife and I decided to have lunch at the airport. We departed from tje North Terminal where we found Wagamama, a restaurant I have never tried before as I am not too keen on Asian food. How wrong I was. I must say that my experience there has been more than excellent. As soon as I put a foot inside the restaurant, customer service has been incredible. Sitting at my table, service was quite cordial and polite. The lady who assisted us, always showed a smile on her face that made us feel comfortable. Well, what about food? Food was delicious, tasty and we were served just a few minutes after we placed our order. I tried chicken Katsu while my wife chose Ebi Katsu. A great choice for both of us. For dessert we fell in love with their cheesecake. In conclusion, a great experience from the beginning to the end. I absolutely recommend it when you are flying from the North Terminal of Gatwick Airport.

Genuinely the worst excuse of "Asian" food I've ever had. Worst food I've ever had at an airport actually. On the 21st of April 2023 (yes, last year) I ordered steamed banh bao, and the bun came soggy yet crumbling apart before I could get a proper bite. Seriously so flavorless I wouldn't give it to my cats. The staff were chill when I complained about it (mind you it was so bad it was inedible), and then went to consult their manager. The manager was a royal a-hole. I told him nicely that I'd like a replacement or for them to erase the bao from my tab. He immediately starts to argue, asked me what the issue with my food was because he claimed "all the food here is made fresh so I don't understand your problem". I told him very clearly that I (a mixed Vietnamese woman btw) can clearly tell the difference between a mass produced deep frozen flavorless bao that was practically just reheated over steam without second thought about the quality of food they are serving, and an actual fresh banh bao. I didn't want to argue because my trip was already ruined by my phone being stolen in London, so I didn't get angry despite the manager raising his voice at me and making quite a scene in front of the other customers. And again, the staff were incredibly sweet to me and my friend whom I traveled with. The manager is completely at fault here. Oh, and the bar was pretty nice lol. Just don't dine there and you're set.

Been away from home for a week hence craved for a ramen. Wagamama was a long awaited craving... Ordered the Thai beef salad (5/5) and a pork belly ramen (3/5). I am taking my time to break down why I was disappointed with the ramen: (1) The noodles are uncooked (2) The broth was most definitely "not Japanese" (3) Otherwise pork belly, the egg, and the vegs are well made. Oh, one more thing, if you are in a rush this is not to place to come.

Visited towards the end of October 2024. Been to this branch at the airport many times previously and always received good service and food. The lady responsible for seating diners was extremely slow and quite rude to a gentlemen stood to the side of me. She took issue to the fact that he was stood next to me and not behind me. Absolutely no need for this type of pedantry. After being seated, I was told that my waiter was Ash and that she would be with me shortly. 5 minutes went by so I asked a member of staff walking by if they could take my order. She advised that she would advise my waiter who never turned up. 5 minutes later I got up to leave and spoke to the manger advising him that I'd been seated for 10 minutes and no one had come to take my order. I told him that I had seen his members of staff standing around talking while customers were waiting to be served and tables needed clearing. To the manager's credit, he apologised profusely and offered to take my order immediately but I declined as I knew that if the table service was this slow it would likely be compounded and I don't want to worry about being late for my flight. I love Wagamama food but will not be visiting this branch again.

I visited this Costa about a week ago with my sister, who has a serious dairy allergy and is also gluten intolerant, which rules out oat milk from most mainstream brands too. My sister noticed that multiple orders are prepared simultaneously but none of the tins used to warm the milk were labelled and it would be incredibly easy to get them muddled up, with serious consequences for customers. When my sister asked the staff member if she was sure that she'd given her the right coffee with soya milk the woman was rude and dismissive and this was building on her visible irritation with my sister that I noticed while we were first placing the order. My sister never drank the coffee, it was too high risk. Had it been the wrong milk she could have been hospitalised. Dairy and gluten allergies are serious and customers with these concerns should be treated with care and respect and furthermore, Costa should implement procedures which give customers reassurance that mistakes won't be made and they should train staff to handle these situations with greater care and concern. I won't be using this costa branch ever again.

None of the plug sockets were working, couldn't find one to charge my phone while having breakfast after a long flight. The lady at the till was not helpful at all. Disappointing.
